she lives her songs when she sings them. all the best singers know they're singing stories as characters or as themselves from a certain time in their lives. i'm a 48 year old, tattooed old fart and her voice never fails to break my heart.

Aurora was almost 20 in this video, and now she is 26 soon 27, and she has released 3 albums and 2 EPs, so there is a lot to watch and listen to. There are 5 more songs from this "Honda Stage" and they are all good, specially "I Went Too Far" it looks like she might have tears in her eyes at the end even though smiling still. I also highly recommend the a cappella version of "Through The Eyes of a Child" with incredible harmonies. The video is also called "Vevo UK LIFT".

Nice reaction😊. She never planned on being an artist, and initially said no when she was offered. Started writing at a very young age to deal with things affecting her, and the emotions comes back while performing. She wrote "Runaway" when she was 11. She has a lot of great performances. "Through The Eyes Of A Child" Live at Nidarosdomen, and "Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" from The Nobel Peace Prize Concert are two early favorites.

I think this immerse and mesmerizing effect with Aurora is very common. There is something unique in Aurora that she takes your attention :). For me the most magical thing are emotions, expressions. And of course she also has great voice and write great songs and lyrics too :). She is just great Artist in my opinion.

Very nice reaction🤗 It’s difficult not to be captivated by this amazing storyteller 😍 She wrote this song when she was only 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕 This is one of her most important songs and one of few songs that actually are about herself😊 This is a great performance, as always with Aurora, but not my favourite with this song. Her voice is a bit hoarse, I’m not sure if she was sick or just tired💕 My favourite performance of this song is at the Nobel peace prize concert 2016😍 Aurora (Aurora Aksnes) is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer born on the 15 of June 1996. She started writing music without lyrics at the age of 6 when she found an old electric piano in the attic, and when she was 9 years old she added lyrics (English). Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 14 years old, and she’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano👍 Could you please react to: “Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017 This is also an important song for her😍 Fun fact: The whole song was played in the Netflix series “The 100”, so if you’ve watched that you may have heard the song😊 Every song from the concert at Nidarosdomen is amazing, very good quality as it always is with NRK

Hola JP.....so welcome to the Queendom......and Aurora is, for me, such an amazing storyteller! Absolutely the Best of the best, so I'll be looking forward for more Aurora....I only watch Aurora reactions and maybe some other fav artist.....staying away from the cultural dumping MusicBiz pumps us with and what the new god Algorythm does, making us believe we really like what they're stuffing us with. So Sweet Miss Prada, pleased to meet you. And this is Aurora live, as matter of fact, last week in Argentina kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fM6DjNGkyr3ZYH0.html There's a lil 5min fuck up in The River, but it then resumes beautifully....yup......mis hermanos Argentinos did a freaking great job and she is so insanely cute

I'm all for breaking the algorithms, but I don't think it's a good idea to suggest whole concerts and especially not newer concerts to a new reactor. There are several reasons, but it will likely generate much less traffic for the reactor, than individual well known videos. It's also a vastly different experience to watch a recorded live-concert when you know the artist and songs well, you can automatically overlook flaws in audio/video. Chances are also great that many of the songs will not be "best version" of the song, although that's subjective and impossible to predict, I think individual targeting will give better success and I think it's very good for promotion if a reactor get's what for them will be the best version, since they only get to do one "first reaction". But it looks to have been a great concert, were you there?

Hi BriMur, I totally agree with you, but my point is, music is not all about work and reactions, music is a source of healthy and fullfilling delight...maybe one of the few things made by man that doesn't scam, lie and kill. So I think if you learn more about an artist like Aurora, you're doing yourself a big favor and me, humbly from my end, would like to spread the word......there are very few good things out there left for grabs, mainsteam stuff is mostly cultural dumpingand Aurora is so unique. Peace and txs for the comments! you are the Best!

Great reaction. My opinion is she is the best, absolute best, all round artist. No one can compete with her song writing, she is a musical genius and genuine. Enjoy the journey, see you on the next Aurora video. Also, it is necessary to keep your eyes on her during her live performances, I understand why some reactors close their eyes to listen to the music, but when you do that you miss the artistry that is Aurora

Many of her performances, especially the emotionally intense ones, show on her face. She performs in the song, often you see her come back into our world as the song ends. Some, especially the more up beat, you see her emotionally "in" the audience, bouncing off them. When ready watch the masterpiece that is the Nidarosdomen Concert.

Hi Jez and thank you for this fine reaction. AURORA wrote the song when she was 11 years old. It was recorded in 2014 when she was about 18 years old. She became famous with this song. Yes you are right. AURORA is a storyteller. AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer with a style all her own. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos. AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pMl3bN2F39nNo3k.html - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7tdgZl91uDIeYE.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d9OEnNSDl8W6cas.html - the song is her way of suicide prevention - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbOTkrJ-mtWycWw.html - it's about the climat change, AURORAS “Earth Song” I usually prefer her live performances. But in some cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA. Three important bits of information I found from another commenter: 1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” - AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th. 2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together. 3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death. Which artist does that? Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

Nice reaction. It's true that once she grabs you, it's kind of impossible not to follow her to the end of the song. What a stage presence at all levels. She has a lot of great live performances, and often different instrumentation/settings of the same song, depending on the venue I guess, so once you've watched a song don't hesitate to dig up other performances for yourself. You've got already several suggestions, I would add this one: AURORA - MURDER SONG (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html

It's so funny how 99% of all reactors are completely blown away by her when they see her the first time. I mean I get it. How can you possibly know what you're about to see and hear? I'm genuinely convinced that there's hardly anybody on this planet who feels different about her. How could you? How? And Jez... welcome to the world of Aurora's music. You have no idea what's ahead of you ^^ I'm not even recommending anything anymore because it's all good. But in any case: go for her live performances just for the sake of seeing her expressions....

As the old saying goes, "You ain't seen nothin' yet.". Wait until you see Aurora's masterpiece Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) concert from 2017 and the pure magic of the HAIK concert from 2019 (filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood). No current artist comes close to this petite powerhouse with the emotion that is channeled into songs, both her own compositions and the variety of other artists' work that she has covered.
