This song always makes me sad after having watched the anime

I hope this isn't too disappointing, but the band members actually don't watch One Piece! Well they mentioned they were gonna watch the live action series at least. And at least some of them watch some anime. But lots of people had requested for them to do this song, so they did it. They were a little nervous about it when they released the video, because they knew the song is very important to a lot of people, and they didn't want to make anyone disappointed. Please do check out more from The Longest Johns. They're a fantastic band. They do a lot of sea shanties and folk music, sometimes a capella, sometimes with instruments, and always with beautiful harmonies. If you like the pirate theme, maybe try their version of Hoist the colours. The "yo-ho" has a veeery different feel in that compared to this! The room in this video is indeed their studio. They release a new music video almost every week, so some of them are pretty simple like this. They're pretty much a DIY band, it's the pure joy of singing that is their driving force.
