The story are "We Ride" is actually their last shot as an idol, and it didn't do well when it was released (it was on my playlist since it was released tho),and the members are ready to be disbanded , 2 of 4 members already move out from the dorm, but then luckily their Rollin complilation video which are uploaded by a KZfaqr went viral on S.Korea and they become number 1 singer in the chart with Rollin! Man, it was such an amazing time to witness that as a fan of their music since long time ago 🙏🏻

Deepened is still by far my fave brave girls song, one of my fave songs in kpop in general tbh. was when there were more members but it has THE most hypnotizing rap part ever

Definitely listen to After We Ride....great song and very poignant lyrics. The song We Ride was released 2020, so in the first wave of "retro sounds". It didn't hit and the girls were on the point of disbanding when Rollin' blew up....and the rest is Kpop history.

Brave Girls have been known for disco tracks for a long time. It also makes sense when you have Brave Sound behind the track who are known for being one of the producing teams behind disco tracks in kpop 🥰

Rollin' was trending because (it's a bit complicated) a KZfaq channel that is used by the Korean army made a "collage" of clips from Brave girls' shows across many army stations for the men who have to do their army duty (about 2 years ?). They made so many shows in the past years that a lot of guys know their songs and it's sort of a legendary group for army guys. Anybody else can explain ? One thing I love about Brave Girls, is that when they smile and when they perform you can tell that they’re genuinely enjoying it and that this is their passion. I’m so happy they got a second chance to perform.

I was so happy when rollin went viral last year because i loved it when it came out. I think the biggest miss was having a dark/sexy MV when the song gives carefree summer vibes. I came to appreciated it a lot more when the girls performed it in a more fun way in simple denim. They really owned summer.

all hits, i knew u wouldn't vibe with the retro sound but STILL maybe u would have liked more their older songs, which i love too, like deepened, high heels... they have been here for a long time (debuted in 2011) and it's great to see their success! they made it out of nugudom, and it is well deserved

I found them way back then before Rollin went viral and kill all the chart, Rollin always my fav song from them. Their Rollin music video rated 18+ at first, well some scene a bit sexy I think then that why they removed that one and uploaded 15+ . Their producer called Brave Brother considered popular actually since 2008.

i agree completely with the throwback sounds, that's actually how i feel about tropical house or "summer" songs, unless of course like you've said before, if the song does something different. I think kpop was on a funky pop route for a while after the success of bts’ dynamite and butter, but I think after western artists like the weekend did amazing retro tracks/releases, now K-pop is on the retro binge again. With some songs admittedly having a similar sound to “blinding lights”, I.e “bad love” by key and “ring ring” by rocket punch. The retro craze always comes in and out of popularity, so I'm really hoping a new trend comes around.

Those are great songs, but if you have never listened to Brave Girls they may sound "too similar". Hope you watch the High Heels and Deepened MVs because they're so different from these 4 songs. My fave is High Heels, even if a lot of people prefer Deepened because the rap is one of the best in Kpop.
