This is my favorite song on MOTS:7!!! I still remember when they first performed this on the James Cordon show. I am still in awe...

Big Hit teased us prior to this song's debut with an amazing video of an interpretive contemporary dance performance by a Slovenian dance troupe in an abandoned stripped out shopping mall using a string quartet and filtered BTS singing. It is quite different and visually astonishing.

Hi Lewis, did you notice the shadows were dancing when Suga and RM were rapping? Did you also notice when Jin was in the mirror room, he looked back at the camera while her reflections didn’t ? Small interesting things like these that makes BTS MVs different. People who are new to BTS often miss symbols and hidden stuffs because we are so used to just focusing on the artists but not the surroundings. These things that makes BTS MVs different & interesting. They want us not just watching them but ‘reading’ them as well. This is why fans like to watch their videos over and over to find more clues. I think it’s very clever 👍😊

Bts' japanese songs "let go" "crystal snow" are my favorites you can check them out. Also i'm really curious as to what kind of genres you normally listen to because bts has songs in so many genres and i/we can recommend songs according to your taste. If you liked black swan i would recommend - Spring day, run, save me and i need you as the songs that has music videos but other than them - louder than bombs - zero o'clock - my time i mean basically you should get into more of their b sides.🙏🏻

Black swan means sudden death. This song talks about the metaphorical death RM felt as he momentarily lost his passion for composing and producing due to his exhaustion from having to produce an insane amount of work. I believe that any composer/producer can feel identified with the lyrics. RM said that he cried while writing these lyrics, also writing other lyrics from the album like: Louder Than Bombs, ON and Bulletproof: The Eternal

Definitely give the Black Swan orchestral version mentioned by other people in the comments. As for Jpop, I only follow the J-rock group ONE OK ROCK. I also suggest a look at Ninety One (Q-pop, which is Kazakh pop) and Mongolian metal/rock groups The Hu and Hanggai. For me, BTS' strength is in their B-sides. I suggest House of Cards from the vocal line, which is jazzy and orchestral.

the meaning behind this song is quite deep. it’s about their fear of losing their passion for making music. they would die their first death then. it’s kinda a reference to the phrase, “a dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful” it’s one of my favorites too! loved your reaction!

First of all Thanks for continuing to react to BTS! Now, there is another version of Black Swan, which you can get as: 'Black Swan' Art Film performed by MN Dance Company. Which is a more orchestral version. And, since you mentioned J-pop. BTS also has exclusive songs in Japanese ... The last one they released is called "Lights", which I highly recommend, and another one, which a few years ago was the OST of a Japanese drama, called "Don't leave me "which is excellent. On the other hand, since you talked about Japanese bands, rok and pop .. I would like to recommend ONE OK ROCK ... PLEASE REACT THEM! For japanese music I would definitely recommend Kenshi Yonezu. He's my favourite artist, I love love love his music! He has a great voice, and the instruments he's using in his music and how complex the songs are.. *chef's kiss* I will recommend five songs from him to start with: Uma to Shika Spirits of the Sea Loser Lemon (this song is very famous in Japan) Flamingo

Love your reaction. Black swan is my favorite song from the new BTS Album. If you want to listen to some Japanese Music you should listen to hakujitsu by King gnu and Lemon by kenshi yonezu. They are really good and people actually listen to them in Japan. Because most of the songs people react to aren't actually that popular in Japan. (Like Babymetal or Unreval)

BTS has a bunch of versions of Black Swan... including the very first one that didn't include them dancing at all. A group from Slovenia did the first dance performance to their song in a huge mall-like complex.. My favorite is their first complete performance on James Cordon's Late Late Show at the end of January kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbl-l5Nj0LzaaKM.html It's the most perfect choreographic depiction of a flock of Black Swans I've ever seen. The lyrics are also pretty awesome - it's about an artist experiencing their first death when they lose their passion for their art (hence the 'Black Swan' theme). It fits into an alternate universe (Bangtan Universe) journey that started in 2014 with their 2nd album and is continuing with Map of the Soul (Persona - 7- ?) that follows a person's development through life's problems and joys. Since 2016 it's been based on 2 books, 'Demian' by Herman Hesse (partially interpreted in their hit mv 'Blood,Sweat and Tears' ) and 'Map Of The Soul' by Murray Stein, who covers psychologist Carl Jung's concepts of human development. But it uses many other references from mythology and the arts. Both ancient and current cultural references abound in metaphor. There are too many explanation and theory videos to shake a stick at ... some scholarly texts have been written. Here's one from Bookish Theory about their ...But Big Hit, the agency founded by (CEO) Bang Si Hyuk in 2005, who gathered the members of BTS together and has been their guiding light ever since has never given any official theory or definitive answer as to what any of it means... preferring to let their audience take whatever interpretation they need from it... because that's what ART is about. army here, but if you want to check out japanese artists that aren't just j-rock i'd recommend wednesday campanella! idk if i would call them "j-pop" because i associate that more with idol music but they are pop with some other genres like edm and hiphop mixed in. a lot of their songs are based on historical or mythological figures. if you want to dive into their stuff "ikkyu-san" is a good song/mv to start out with! or the collabs with french artist moodoid are pretty cool. really i'd just recommend choosing whatever looks/sounds interesting, also all mvs have english subtitles i believe! not sure how copyright is with reacting to them though, it's typically pretty strict with japanese artists but i've seen people react before so idk? p.s. to other army, just because bts has songs in japanese doesn't make the song j-pop :) but i would recommend their japanese tracks as well since they aren't as widely known by casual listeners. my personal favorite is "wake up," but since it doesn't have a video i'd like to recommend the dance practice for "i like it pt. 2 (ano basho de)"
