Eivør is an amazing and versatile artist from the Faroe Islands. She's also done the soundtracks for show The Last Kingdom and the game God of War. I highly recommend checking out her more "viking type" music - Trøllabundin with the Danish National Orchestra, and The Last Kingdom Main Theme (Live at Hammersmith Apollo).

she is also a classically trained sopran and owns a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques. apart from her viking style she covers a lot of genres more. whatever you pick, no disappointment.

@@jacob6088 yes, in this she uses a technique called kulning, which is a herding call, used to call the cattle back to the farm. this call travels over long distances. like in trollabundin.
