Great reaction. There will never be another Elvis. He was put into five Halls of Fame plus two state Halls of Fame. His generosity was unmatched. He grew up in ghetto. Sometimes he had no shoes. He was from Tupelo Mississippi. Moved to projects in Memphis when he was 14. The rest is history. Thank you for giving him a chance. You will never regret it.

HE NEVER MADE A BAD RECORD OR SANG A SONG OTHER THAN PERFECTLY. WHEN 45 RECORDS CAME OUT. YOU ONLY EVER GOT ONE GOOD SONG. THE OTHER SONG WAS NOT GREAT. WITH AN ELVIS 45 YOU GOT TWO GREAT SONGS. I THINK A 45 COST 1.00 WHICH WAS OUTRAGEOUS AT THE TIME. NO ONE COULD COMPETE WITH HIM. EVERYONE AFTER ELVIS WAS A TAKE OFF. SOME DID PRETTY WELL, BUT THERE WAS ONLY EVER ONE KING....AND THAT WAS ELVIS.

There are only a few Elvis movies that are good, but every Elvis movie made tons of money just because people wanted to see HIM in a movie. Jailhouse Rock, King Creole, Wile in the Country, and Loving you were a few of the early and better ones but they didn't give him the chance to be a great actor. The minute they had him singing in all his movies fans came to them and didn't care about the story as long as they could see Elvis and hear him. Elvis movies all made money!.

When I was young, I didn't like this video because it saddened me to see Elvis panting, tired, visibly weakened on stage. But after I saw the Elvis movie, and in it this performance merges the Elvis character, played by Austin Butler and the real Elvis, and that scene is so moving! It brought me to tears. And from then on I could see how much he overcame himself to be there. When he goes to the piano, it seems like he can barely speak, but the moment Elvis sings, his voice never fails. There is no pain, no tiredness or shortness of breath, just pure emotion. And his smile at the end give us a feeling of accomplishment, of happiness for being able to do his best one more time. It's as if he wanted to leave this performance as a legacy for future generations when they want to understand who Elvis was. Elvis was heart and Soul! Great reaction! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Thanks for sharing.

I'm a Forever Elvis fan. I waited for that movie for years. A movie about ELVIS had to bring the energy & excitment that seeing Elvis produced. It finally came in 2022. Glad you saw it. I hope you react to one of my favorites that showcases ELVIS singing & guitar talents. Best version is from the 68 comeback special, its a combo of Trouble & Guitar Man. It starts off with Elvis singing a few bars of "Trouble" then it morphs into Elvis singing the full version of "GUITAR MAN" and its ELVIS at his best. Thanks for taking the time to get to know Elvis. He was/is always delighted with a new fan.

The scene was from one of his last performances before he died. In the movie, the song is Sung by Austin Butler then it flips,Austin is nowhere to been. It’s only Elvis singing at the piano, it was very emotional .one minute it is Austin and the next minute it’s the real Elvis setting at piano. I cried my eyes out at the end of the scene.

Elvis was #1. Everyone who ever met him said he was so charismatic that he won you over. Every group tried to copy him after he came out. John Lennon said there was Elvis and everyone else who tried to copy him. He had long hair and side burns. Everyone else had a crewcut. When Elvis played in New York for the first time. Every popular group in the industry came to see him to pay homage to the KING because they wouldn't be there if it hadn't been for Elvis.

New subscriber. To know who the real Elvis was as a performer & a person, just start watching his live performances, see the documentaries about his life & how he grew up, what he put himself through to perform for the audiences he loved, his rich powerhouse of a voice -- '68 Comeback special, 1970 Las Vegas (which was filmed by MGM for the DVD "That's The Way It Is"), 1972 Hampton Roads, Virginia; and know that he had many serious health issues, painful glaucoma & those house lights & stage lights were very hard on his eyes, & a lung condition genetically inherited that eventually caused him to need an inhaler to help him breath. This was in June of 1977, he died Aug. 16, 1977. And w-a repertoire of over 700 songs, you have a lot to get through. Thank you.

It wasn't his last performance but it was his last recorded concert performance. Elvis has been smeared from the beginning. He wasn't one of them. By them I mean Hollywood and the rich and famous. He never forgot where he came from and surrounded himself with family and people who were raised with southern values and in the church like he was. He loved his fans and loved people and was generous to a fault. He gave money away almost as fast as he earned it. There is much more to Elvis Presley... most of it admirable and good. He was a complex man and had his faults and weaknesses... like each and every one of us does. But for someone with his level of fame... the first ever superstar, the most famous person on the planet (there are fan clubs and impersonators to this day all over the world)... not to mention the most handsome man who ever existed... a man who sold out every Vegas show and concert within hours and had people coming from all over the world to see him... do you know one human being who could handle that level of fame and wealth and remain down to earth, loving, generous, kind, compassionate, humble and loyal? There has been a move in recent years to tear down and destroy history and famous people in history. (A Marxist tactic, but that's another video). So they judge people from the past by today's standards, which have changed dramatically from even 20 years ago. It's sad that Elvis had so much hate in the beginning of his career and again late in his career and now 45 years after his death. Take the bad you hear with a huge grain of salt... there may or may not be a grain of truth to it. Learn about Elvis the man from the people who knew him, loved him, worked for him or met him. Although be warned that there were some of his inner circle who turned on him and other unreliable people (without mentioning names) who used and abused Elvis. I do not trust anything they say. What you'll find is that he was consistently described as humble, polite, gracious, kind, fun, compassionate, loving and generous to all. His bad qualities do not cancel out his wonderful qualities. Name another superstar who would routinely go down to his front gate to meet and talk to the fans, sign autographs and let them take pictures? What other superstar would miss a regular "gate fan" when they didn't show up for a while, ask about them, find out where they lived and personally go to see if they were OK or needed anything? People don't get to hear most of those stories and I've never seen them on reaction videos. But the videos are on yt and fb... there are Elvis historians and fans who have gone back and recorded the stories of so whose lives were touched by Elvis in order to preserve his memory and legacy and get the real story out about the kind of man he was. You really get great insight into the man when you hear their stories. Enjoy your journey. Sorry if this was too wordy.

Elvis is mesmerising and he leaves people starstruck on hearing his voice. Elvis and Bill Medley were really good friends. I’m sure Elvis was responsible for Bill performing in Vegas when he was performing of course it was just a “coincidence” Bill played every time Elvis did. But they were good friends either way. Bridge Over Troubled Water Vegas live 1970, Polk Salad Annie Vegas live 1970, Reconsider Baby 1960, Make The World Go Away Vegas live 1970, Wash My Hands In Muddy Water u can pick a version they are all great, the song the played in the King King vs Godzilla movie Loving Arms, High Heeled Sneakers, Big Hunk o Love 1959. He has over 700 recordings I can be here all night 🤣🤣 I have some blues here R&B, rock, country oh wait u need gospel let’s see Working On A Building, How Great Thou Art live 1972 The Hampton’s, Milky White Way, oh wait i forgot on more soul shattering song Solitaire. I mean he will tear your heart out with other songs that just one of them.

Austin Butler performed 90% of all the Elvis Presley songs especially the younger Elvis songs. This song was the final song in the movie and Elvis Presley's final song in concert. Austin Butler in the movie starts off the scene actually singing this particular song. He sounded so much like Elvis that even i as a huge Elvis Presley fan couldn't tell where Austin Butler's version stopped and Elvis Presley's version started in this song in that final scene. If you want to hear and react to another beautiful Elvis Presley song please listen to Elvis Presley's version of MY WAY. A cover he did of the song originally sung by Frank Sinatra. The difference in style is so apparent. Sinatra pretty much talks the song but when you listen to Elvis Presley's version, he sings the song with so much heart that to me is just unbelievable compared to Frank Sinatra's version. I really hope you do a reaction to that particular song.

Butler's voice was only really used for the 50s live performances, ie Hayride, the beginning of Heartbreak Hotel and Milton Berle Hound Dog plus - basically the 50s stuff. Anything from later was Elvis's voice perhaps with a little bit of Austin blended to make I more authentic. Austin sang but the sound we hear as the audience is Elvis's voice. Austin's voice would struggle with 60s and 70s Elvis and Unchained Melody is all ELVIS I'm afraid.

I cried watching this in 1977. It was his last performance. I could barely sit and watch it. I was 26 years old at the time and a huge fan. I saw him sing live in 1972.

Very nice reaction so kudos to you. On his knees health wise, probably shouldn't have been near a stage yet still produced this magical performance. As a long time fan the influence of country was seriously underplayed in the film, for as Elvis himself said in 1970 his music was a fusion of Gospel, R&B and Country.

Over 670 Artists recorded this song. You can see Elvis is dying here, I can feel it. My Mother was the same age and I could feel them both dying, she lived a few weeks longer than Elvis. That was 1977 and I still connect them. I used to feel guilty that I couldn’t save them and they died of the same heart condition. Five out of six of us have the heart condition, no one knew back then it was Genetic, my eldest has it too. That is why Lisa Marie is gone. Everyone used to say it was prescription drugs that killed him. The last Medical Examiner said it wasn’t. If someone took them that wasn’t used to them like Elvis it might kill them. It was a heart problem he was born with and no matter what it would have killed him because there wasn’t help for many years after they were gone.

Loved your reaction. To learn more about the greatest entertainer of all time ( in 9halls of fame. They include rhythm and blues, pop, rock and roll, Gospel and rockabilly. Please do reaction on * If I can dream ( Comeback Special 1968) * Heartbreak hotel ( Comeback Special 1968. Sitting version shows you his personality and he forgot the lyrics. Standing version also great) * Suspicious minds ( Live in Las Vegas 1970) * Jailhouse Rock. 1957 and 1968. Both great and different. * Bridge over troubled waters ( Live Las Vegas 1970) *How great Thou art. 1977. * You've lost that loving feeling ( 1970. Great and so different from Righteous Brothers)

Take a look at „Thats the way it is“ from 1970. Great documentary about his work with his band and his background singer. Fantastic rehearsals and fantastic shows with awesome songs. „Suspicious minds“ is unbelivable, „Bridge over troubled water“ is not from this world… I‘m a big Fan since more than 46 years. I‘m so glad for new fans. Thank you for your nice reaction! 👏🫶

stop spreading this lie pls this was not his last performance this was his last **recorded** performance, the special he did for CBS which was filmed during two shows one in Omaha on June 19th 1977 and one in Rapid City on June 21st 1977 His last concert was on June 26th in Indianapolis at market square arena and was a fantastic show he looked great, he sounded amazing, was full of energy and was having a blast. the last song he ever performed live was the same song he closed all his shows with Can't Help Falling In Love with You a song that always signaled the end of his show except on this night it would end up being a fitting and loving last farewell to his fans ~ istg so much misinformation in these comment sections especially since the movie!

@@belinda35_77 thx for explaining -- there is no end to the misinformation, especially w-this performance in particular -- i'm guessing it's coming mostly from young/younger people? it gets passed around & reactors who are not familiar w-Elvis can't know much so they have nothing else to go on except what people comment about

@@belinda35_77 it’s not a lie, you just don’t have context. There is a presumption this would have been his last ‘recorded’ one when we say his last performance due to the era it’s in. That’s why it’s not referred to as the ‘ last time he sang’ or ‘last time he appeared on stage’. Also a lie is something to intentionally say to gain something, nothing is gained from referring to this as his last performance. So you need to calm down. Also looking great is opinion but considering his face was swollen due to the heart condition that ended up killing him I wouldn’t believe he looked ‘great’ in comparison to what he should have looked like had he been healthy.

@@crazyeyelad "hey man this was the last performance just before he died" in no way says or even hints at **last recorded performance** fair enough about using the word "lie" bad choice on my part i should have said "misinformation" i apologize for that as far as how he looked, he did look fantastic compared to the CBS special and the whole "he could hardly stand" is total bs also, his last few shows he was very energetic and moving around just fine anyways, we both obviously love him and could debate our perspectives all day but instead, agree to disagree have a great night :)

I’ve now watched your reactions from first to last 2 days ago and I’m happy to see you’ve stuck with your hours. It never ends because once he’s grabbed a hold of your soul, for someone reason I can’t explain, but he never lets go. I didn’t see his performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water 1970, Las Vegas Live. It’s beautiful and his void is unbelievable.
