The people from Ethiopia holding a rock concert for the dude's town is not a local joke, its quite obvious. Western countries always have rock concerts to raise money for poverty stricken countries in African including Ethiopia,. so them holding a rock concert for that town just shows how dire their situation is. I suggest you watch Frankie's Michael Jackson's Childrens Hospital. Frankie is as dark as dark humour gets, and its brilliant!

A great reaction guys. There is a basic rule to remember when listening to British comics roasting towns & teams. They are either calling them posh snobs, impoverished with no money, or inbred. As to Frankie's set. This is what he does when he finishes a few prepped jokes & pieces, & needs something to do before he starts the next set. Also you being on the front row doesn't matter at all. If you catch his eye for any reason you will be targeted. Whatever row you are on. Hope everyone is having an amazing week & much love to all from here in the UK

I went to see him some years back when he was at his best. Brilliant, unless you're sat in the first few rows and don't want to be completely roasted lol. It's not his full act though, he does plenty of standup, but completely destroying the audience is certainly one of his strong points and it's hilarious. You say harmless brutality, which is a misnomer and while I would generally agree that you can't give offence, only take it, there have to be parameter's and it is each persons duty not to go beyond the pale, Boyle is one of those comedians that frequently pushes the boundaries beyond that which is acceptable

You'd walk out if he roasted you? Not in Glasgow ma man, you'd end up getting it from everybody as you made ur way out.😂 Glasgow is a tough no nonsense city so the humour is dark and harsh. To be fair to Frankie although he is savage he's a clever fecker as well, he has slowed his accent down as well so non Glaswegians can understand him, to us natives he sounds a lil like he's had a stroke.😂 Kudos for getting most of it as our accent can be harsh, it'd be the Scottish equivalent of a Boston or New York - New Jersey accent.👍

@@SpacenSpooks Theres left.. and then theres the left of Marx. Thats where he is now... And doesnt that tell you something? "Same as most comedians", Gatekeeping is prevalent in the comedy circuit, if you have the "wrong" views they wont book you. Something conservative comedians have spoken about for years. The comedians on the right arent allowed on the mainstream anymore. PC ancel culture has gutted comedy.

Lol...I love the blank look on all three faces at some of the savage punchlines ! Accent and some of the phrases I'm sure is a big problem with Frankie. He's mainly stand up when he's performing live, but lord help you if you're in the first few rows.

I think the UK swears alot by default, so it doesn't come across as super offensive when there is more of a mental barrier to being made fun of. The vast majority also know what to expect at these shows. I think the age restriction is 16 yrs. Alot of clip compilations may be harsher content for views by uploaders though, especially when compared to his output on quiz shows such as Mock the Week.

No, he went woke and got politically correct. He works for the Guardian now. He's part of the reason jokes like this arent allowed on tv.
