Everlast was born in NY but grew up in LA (went to high school with Ice Cube). He was originally part of Ice T's Rhyme Syndicate (pre House Of Pain). House of Pain was part of Cypress Hill's Soul Assassins collective ("I got props from the kids on the Hill") and DJ Muggs actually gave this beat to House Of Pain ("Muggs let the funk flow").

@@Mike-O-Sullivan ...Well yeah, but come on, I can trace a couple of my relatives back to Cork, Ireland, but my surname is Ley, and I also don't goin around tellin' folks I'm Irish, except maybe after a few pints on Patty's Day..lol, at least you got a great Irish sounding name, lucky bastard. 😜 Schrody is definitely more German than Irish, but I know he's got Irish grandma's on both sides. Danny O'Conner is obviously Irish, but then Leor DiMant (DJ Lethal) is Latvian. They got labeled as the first Irish rap group, but O'Conner even said in an interview they were kinda of embarrassed they broke out that way, he said it was more of a gimmick to get a record company to notice them and didn't think when they got picked up the label would roll with it so hard. So I can't be mad at that, you do what ya gotta do stand out when your a young artist.

Everlast really didn't eat the Pork. He was the first white Muslim Rapper. This dude has so many tracks that have become platinum. His work in La Coka Nostra is dope too.

This the song they played in-stadium after Marshawn Lynch's "Beastquake" run. We were all jumpin' around and caused activity on nearby seismic instruments, hence, "Beastquake."

If people reacted to songs like “Top a the mornin’ to ya” they’d start to respect them even more

Girls that like to dance the dance to music like this they weren’t listening to rock ‘n’ roll, but I am appreciating rock ‘n’ roll now at 58 years old

Yeah these guys are South Boston (Southie) Irish and man you’ve no idea how these guys capture the pride. This song was an anthem for all us kids who grew up Irish American in the Northeast. Absolutely love this song.

Always played at football games at UW Madison. Supposedly the engineering department had to do a study of Camp Randall Stadium to make sure the old stadium could withstand the fans and students “jumping around” to this song. Everlast actually attended a football game at Madison.

This came out in 1992, I was a Sophmore in Highschool. Man when this got played it didn't matter what color you were..what click you were with...EVERYONE JUMPED. I got to see them live at a stadium tour in the late 90's or early 2000's. FedEx Field (Redskins/Commanders Stadium)....the entire stadium was shaking when this came on!! It doesn't matter where I am or what was going on...if this comes on that volume goes WAY up and I'm bouncing like I am a teenager again...lol.

I was in 10th grade when this came out and it was everywhere all the time … even in the football locker room after a win. Good memories 😊
