Thanks for checking this out. This was their first concert after more than two years' hiatus, during which they weathered the pandemic, searched for a new bassist, and two of them had babies. Other than that, no big deal. They just came out and smoked everyone.

Interesting that @ENAK ROKS speculated that Lovebites' members parents might be disappointed that their children didn't follow a classical career. Miyako the black haired guitarist besides being a virtuoso guitarist is also a concert standard classical pianist. She is giving a piano recital in Tokyo in November and often plays short classical pieces by Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff during their concerts, hence the grand piano on stage left. In fact the piano is really her primary instrument and the guitar second. She is the composer of around half Lovebites' songs and you can often hear references to classical composers, especially of the C19th Romantic movement, in many of her compositions.

The music video for this song was released shortly after the announcement of LOVEBITES' hiatus due to the departure of Miho (bass), the band's founder and leader, and the music video contained a strong message that "we will definitely come back. And to be able to perform this song at this revival concert was deeply moving not only for LOVEBITES, but also for their fans who had been waiting and believing in their return for two years.

All lovebites are elite musicians who have loved music and trained since childhood. So no tattoos or leather clothes. There are many songs that encourage and give courage to the audience. The drummer, Haruna, measures in at 4' 10" but all of them are tiny. The lead singer, Asami, just scrapes 4'11" without her heels on whilst the twin lead guitars Midori and Miyako are, I think, 5' and 5'2" respectively. The tallest of the bunch is also the youngest, bass player Fami, who towers above her band mates at a stately 5 foot three or four. Make no mistake however, their lack of stature in no way detracts from their extraordinary virtuosity. Put instruments in their hands and a stage to command and these ladies are giants.

You were right was some points that you mentioned. They all started with classical piano, the guitarists already at age of 3. They picked up the guitar quite late at age of 19 and 20! The dark hair guitarist, her name is Miyako, is still a classical pianist. She came out with her solo album earlier this year where she plays 6 classical rock metal songs on piano, which she arranged herself in a beautiful and amazingly good way. On LOVEBITES channel you will find one MV taken from this CD (Eagle Fly Free from Helloween). The band Helloween is also one of their many influences. Both bands also know each other since they both played at Wacken 2018. Helloween is the favorite metal band of the drummer Haruna, they are even the reason why she started with metal drumming. Miyako and Haruna met with Helloween members backstage at their concert in Osaka last month. Miyako also was out for drink with Helloween’s bassist they day before. Other influences for LOVEBITES are e.g. Iron Maiden, Metallica, Frederic Chopin, Gary Moore. Also Nuno Bettencourt who was at LOVEBITES concert in Tokyo last month, two days after the both guitarists went to his show with Extreme at the same venue.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 The band is around since 2016 and released their first EP and album in 2017. At this point they have 4 albums, some singles and EPs and also 4 official live DVD/Blu-ray releases. They’ve already toured in Europe back in 2018/2019, including the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band) said in an interview that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Some people say that they’re redefining metal.

Excellent reaction, picking up on the 80s Euro/German metal sound along with Priest was a good spot as that's exactly what they're going for. Their influences include Judas Priest and Helloween, as well as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, and many more from that era. It's a shame that more fans of those bands don't seem to know they exist, as they'd surely become instant fans.

The drummer Haruna "little big engine" is 4'9" nothing else thats been mentioned... LOVEBITES "The Golden Touch" - Myiako guitarr Composer, classical trained piano virtuoso started play at 3 years of age. Plays 5 instruments. Started play electric guitar at 18 years old. "Little big engine" - Haruna drummer. One of the best female metal/rock drummers in the world - period... Not only a machine on the drums. But also an extremely melodious drummer... "The crazy Shredder" - Midori guitarr Competing in Japanese Bodybuilding "fitness style" Also a great acustic guitarr player. "The one and only Voice"- Asami lead A Former ballerina. She actually dances to on stage. Also plays piano and write all the uplifting lyrics that is characteristics their music. All is in english but her japanese accent makes it hard sometimes to hear. So recommend put on captions or google the lyrics. So you guys can follow it. Cause its allways very uplifting and captivating. Actually begun sing with soul Singers like rolemodels. "Shining Fingers" - Fami bass One of the best (together with Misa from Bandmaid in my opinion. ) female bass players on the planet. She can do all bass techniques that their is. But she allways "only do" whats right for the song. Never over the top... Her KZfaq chanel was allready bigger than Lovebites before entering the band. She is much younger than the others. And was chosen as Lovebites new bass player in 2022 in a tryout of bass players from all over the world. Their latest album is ranked as one of the best metal albums of 2023. The skill of this group is beyond amazing ... But it also the composing of good songs. Their humbleness and so much more that make them loved all over the world. They are foremost a powermetal band. But they in different songs do trash, plain metal, hardrock and even some symphonic metal. A theme for them is wolves. As you may have seen in their shows. Japan is so particular, these people can give so much love, and at least such talented girls get some attention and can play in public for years. Though most likely most of them won't become rich. I like that better than in Korea, where the state-affiliated chaebol industry eats up young talents for pop export business, but after a couple of years leaves them alone and very often unhappy. Blackpink were a bit different, could show a bit more of personality, but now it seems to end as well. Lisa knows how to do business, she is going to be rich. Check out REIRIE and BRATS as well. Ex idols seeking their path in serious J-Rock and J-Pop. They are working super hard to be able to do the music that they want to do.

If you want to really hear just how incredible Asami (lead singer) voice is and hear the longest note held, you need to check out their live song "Edge of the world" where they start with acoustic and piano before building throughout the entire song. If you find the video with lyrics on, this will further bring home the message of the song.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes. Some data on the band: The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also. Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little BIG Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable! Miyako is our dark haired guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold. Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair, and she is called "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :) On bass you have the amazingly talented Fami - "Shining Fingers" - new to the band as of 2023, and has injected even more energy and passion into the group. She is the youngest of the group, and has amassed an amazing KZfaq following as a solo artist before auditioning for Lovebites and being accepted wholeheartedly by the band and the fans. LOVEBITES never disampointed in LIVE performances. Their gimmick is their abillities. And LOVEBITES is best metal talented band today.

I would actually rank the studio version of Nameless Warrior as one of their weakest songs, but I really love this live version. And yeah, classical elements can be found all over their music. Guitarist Miyako has a classical background that tends to inform her compositions.

Those aren’t wedding dresses! They always wear white because they’re so petite. It’s obvious you aren’t married or you’d know a wedding dress. Why make a video just to make fun of them? Love Bites is a wonderful power metal Japanese band. Matter of fact Japanese musicians are some of the best in the world. PLEASE don’t you dare to compare them to any crappy Kpop group!!! This is the silliest review I’ve ever heard of Love Bites - so disrespectful.
