Rammstein would be considered industrial metal. I saw them on this tour. Best concert I have ever been too. Hands down, not even close.

It shows what can happen if you stay together for 27 years. Rammstein is like a machine. Till the lead singer is Pyrotechnician and I think the whole band trained cause of an accident 25 years ago

The stage set etc is the band's own and it takes four 747s to transport it abroad. On land, they travel with 70 trucks. Musical category wise, they're described as New German Hardness which is a sub-genre of industrial metal. They're quite individual within that sub-genre though especially for their live performances. If you watch the official video, you will see the context for the taking of the knee. Buck Dich should be fine as should Pussy live. Sonne was originally written as entrance music for Vitali Klitschko, the heavyweight boxer, but his management team rejected it as too heavy. The content is that everybody could be the sun for someone. If you are in a hole ore in darkness ...just trust ... someone will bee your light... and that your light in live is very important for someone ...I visit 2 liveshows in Germany and the next is in Netherlands end of july ..The show is unbelievable..... the best I ever see. I'm from Germany/ Frankfurt and I love them since 25 years...

This song was originally written for a fighters intro song. The chorus is a count until "lights out ". All done metaphorical as the Sun. He's basically saying I'm the sun. 1 here comes the sun , 2 here comes the sun etc until 10 which he says" out" as in the KO.. sadly no fighter picked it up.

As for genre, they are a Neue Deutsche Harte band, which means "new German hardness" and is a subgenre of industrial metal. You would not believe the heat washing over you. they use 1000 l of fuel for a concert. Educated Marine has them all with subtitles. Till Lindemann has extreme stage fright and is a sensitive introvert. Thus the fire and the stage presence, to avoid the real him being seen. That is why he looks different "at day".
