This performance makes me ridiculously happy. The song is super catchy, and Henri (who does the vocals) is a great singer. Every move on stage is planned, mostly by Windows95man, who is a visual artist. Eurovision is a tv show, and the staging is just as big a part of the entertainment as the song. I love a good, touching ballad, but sometimes, I really want to feel joy - and that is what this song is filled with.

I was there, and as you can see, the show changed everything and people voted for this! 😂😂😂 Those shorts are his trademark so that's why everything is denim. Because this is his 1st single, he was born from the egg. 😅 And he said in an interview that the shorts were sprayed some fire resistant liquid.

Had a feeling this would win even though was last place in the International Jury vote (which was 25%) but was the clear winner in the public vote (75% of points). I'd suggest perhaps its the Lordi effect (their only win in Eurovision). Finland is my favourite place in Europe to travel to (Tampere where this was hosted is amazingly beautiful city too) and they have some really unique things I've never seen elsewhere - like heavy metal karaoke bars for example :D. So this win doesn't suprise me in the least :D

And the egg, it might come form our history, old rune songs. There is a story in book called Kalevsls, about how the world was created, bird called sotka (in Finnish) laid down an egg. So the other singer Henri is the bird 😂😂 The Kalevala is regarded as the national epic of Karelia and Finland and is one of the most significant works of Finnish literature.

The juries in Finnish Eurovision qualifiers are notoriously horrible, that is why their impact has been lowered. They even disqualified Nightwish - Sleepwalker from Eurovision since it was too satanic and metal... seriously. Tuomas from Nightwish is to this day extremely bitter about it

Makes for some pretty poor quality content. This channel is all about that. Quantity over quality. Anything to turn a dollar.

Well it is a freak show and it has been for decades. You cannot change people's opinions about it. And most of us enjoy these kind of acts that makes us happy. It is what Eurovision is all about.
