She wrote a song about the "after pandemic" in 2021 called "Respire Encore" (meaning Breathe Again). You definitely have to try this one !!!

Wow, love this artist and her songs. At the beginning of her career, when Françoise Hardy discovered her, she was very impressed. As she loved her songs (Françoise was a great fan of Clara's lyrics writing), she asked (during her interviews on the radio) programmers to play Clara’s records. It helped a lot to launch the young singer. Clara is also a huge fan of Françoise.

Hello Dereck, First, thanks for what you said about translations. I precise I'm a man (54 yrs). lol Thanks also for this reaction long time waited here again by several subscribers. Indeed, on the site *Lyrics Translate,* I proposed in a comment to explain the initial meaning of the song on the page translation of the song with the help of 3 interview excerpts published in specialized magazines on this subject. I discovered this artist in April 2018 with her song *"Drôle d'époque."* And I was immediately struck by her unique musical style and voice. The clip of *"La Grenade,"* being, however, earlier (January 2018), the song and the singer only experienced success around June 2018, when there sales and views of the clip on KZfaq exploded following the broadcast of the music on the radio, propelling the artist into the spotlight. Since 2018, most *Clara Luciani* clips have regularly exceeded *10 million views.* For a French artist, which is very desirable, especially in such a short time. For my part, I like what she offers. There are plenty of good things; *"Ma soeur"* (My sista) *"Le reste,"* (the rest, in the meaning of "the other things") *"Nue,"* (Nude) *"Respire encore,"* (Breathe again) and even her latest clip, *"Amour Toujours"* (Love Always - March 2022). In any case, thank you, Dereck; I like *Clara.* Take life on the bright side, friends!

Clara Luciani born 1992 near Marseilles is fabulous, amazing and very talentuous... She's got a style of my beloved Françoise Hardy. Her singles were only hits. A mix between French touch, disco vibes, funky bass, synth pop very fresh. La grenade was readapted by the British band METRONOMY... And the leader Joseph Mount seems to musically appreciate Clara who made a gorgious clip of THE BAY from Metronomy becoming a WAOOH French version LA BAIE... Maybe you should try other songs of CLARA LUCIANI and some great hits of Metronomy (a revival of the cold wave from the depth of the 80ties) I have all CDs of this elegant clean cold English band.

LYRICS IN ENGLISH Hey you What are you watching? Have you ever seen a woman who fights Follow me In the pale town And I will show you How I bite, how I bark Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Hey you But what do you believe? I'm just an animal Disguised as a Madonna Hey you I could hurt you I could hurt you, yeah In the shivering night Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Hey you What do you imagine? I am also voracious As alive as you do you know Than there under my chest A rage sleeps (a rage sleeps) What don't you suspect? Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Be careful Under my bosom, the pomegranate Beneath my bosom, there, look Under my bosom, the pomegranate Be careful

I'm not a Clara Luciani fan. For me, it's the current equivalent of Françoise Hardy... I'm already not a fan of the latter so having a revisited version was not likely to please me but, as Derek has already listened to Françoise Hardy, it that's why I refer to it (I appreciate some of his writings but not as an interpreter). In France, we have heard too much "La Grenade". This song is repeated again and again in the castings.

Quand on la connaît, elle n'a rien à voir avec Françoise Hardy. Françoise était mélancolique, alors que Clara est très énergique, pétillante en concert. Et sa musique beaucoup plus dansante.

Hi Dereck! Thanks for your react on Clara Luciani. Do you know that this song became a feminist hymn following the "MeToo" movement? Even if it was written before these events, this song is above all to denounce a fed up with the machismo that reigns in the music industry because she was confronted at her beginnings with sexist remarks. This song was released on December 8, 2017 taken from her first album "Sainte-Victoire" but it will take more than a year, i.e. January 2019, for this title to rank at the top of sales, no.22 on 23.02.2019 certified platinum disc for 30 million streams. In several interviews, Clara Luciani clarified that she did not think this song would exceed all her expectations. One of my favorite in this album is "Ma Soeur" (My Sister), a fast song released end of 2019 with "vintage" images. Thanks for your great work our Frenchie American dude. 👌🇫🇷
