It’s a ride, a journey, that for me and lots of other Dears just enrich our musical experience. Love to join you in your journey! He became famous in Chine by the Singer in 2017, so you are a couple of years behind 😉 so lots of great songs to go. Ogni Pietra next?!

The first gentleman that stands up to applaud DIMASH is Igor Krutoy, he has partnership with him many times. Famous composer and pianist from Russia, who was retired, and they say, he came back inspired by DIMASH’s talent. You mention that DIMASH is very focused on convey the message of the song...well, in the future you will see that he keeps his focus while very close in the stage interacting with his dears in the audience, singing along with them and having all the fun without losing any of his quality performance. He’s just complete. Kazakhstan named him national treasure, but we think he’s actually a world’s treasure. He has worked very hard since 5 years old and never waisted time in becoming the best singer. What an example for all our young ones ❤️ Thank you for the reaction 🌷Great song to watch next maybe LOVE OF THE TIRED SWANS, with Igor, it’s in Dimash’s channel, best place to avoid copyright issues. his tool-box is infinetly and his voice control is perfect - the result of 10% talent and 90% of very hard work for over 20 years, as he mentioned himself in a russian interview. But the cream on the cake, as we say in Germany, is his personality and the message he shouted out loud to the world( with the story of one sky): we need peace❣❣❣

Dimash said in an interview: "...Open my heart - you will find music there. If you open my brain, you will also find music... Music is my life..." That is what you will see, hear and feel in every song. He is devoted to music and gives all of himself to convey the emotions of a song and to take his audience into his world. The journey discovering Dimash will be full of surprises because he is so versatile. You didn’t see much yet. I appreciate your pauses, that’s why I’m watching reaction videos and it’s interesting to hear what you think. Thank you for this reaction. @@julieh.700 Kazakh Dears may be able to confirm it but when I first heard the song, I searched what this throat singing was and I learned that it is called a "zhoktau", a song of farewell to the dead. Somewhere along comments, I often saw it being referred to the original singer.

@@michelegagne5169 HI Michele! I was under the impression that Throat singing was what the singer who was part of the instrumentalists did in song "Swan Goose" Dimash performed with Tengri. If that's the case then what Dimash is doing here is completely different. I don't doubt it's traditional music from Kazakhstan or at minimum from that region. I'm just struggling to find an example of it in the mourning music called "zhoktau" or "жоқтау". If you know of any similar examples, could you point me toward them. It's clear they have mourning songs but it isn't clear that what he did here was modeled after them. Just trying to be sure. We may need Kazakh help on this.

@@julieh.700 If you are interested in Kazakh musical history, there is a LOT to discover. I delved into it when I first heard Dimash say that almost everyone plays the dombra in his country. It got me curious as to why that was so and I came upon a rich history of oral traditions (which for a people without a nation is not unusual---and remember that Dimash was born at the same time Kazakhstan won their independence). I had no idea before then the historical importance of music and poetry in the daily lives of Kazakhs nor did I know about their shamanic traditions and all the different voice techniques reserved for the few enlightened ones. If you are interested, you will find a lot of material about it from many scholars and it truly is worth the time. Because Dimash is so very much attached and respectful of his roots, today I better understand why. The Kazakh people have an extremely rich oral history and ALL OF IT bathes in music. That is why I know Dimash would not have used this vocal yodel just for the effect. As per Kazakh traditions, sound and meaning are inseparable.

What was that? It was, yakutian style. Yakuts life in Russia but are closer to kazaks. In Mongolia and other nations there are singers that use this technique. I think he switched to the kazakh zhotkau technique in the second half of this run. It's a traditional Kazakh lament singing to grief about a person that passed away. In this case he honored the original singer of this song. He was one of his favorite singers and the original band (A-Studio) accompanied him. The man that played the keyboard is the songwriter... I really enjoy your reactions. I would be grateful if you react to Samaltau from Tokio Jazzfestival next. It's a kazakh song and you will se Dimashs spiritual side. About the "yoddle" at 8;18 (before that 25 sec insane high note with runs) it's actually called "akins", it's a mournfull song used Kazakhstan, Kirghistan, Dagestan and some other countries in the Caucasus mountains or in Middle east. Dimash reinterpreted "Sinfull Passion" from Studio A, a band from his homeland, and added the “funeral melisma” (that oriental sounding portion) towards the end in homage of the singer who passed away. You can find the original song on KZfaq.

Man in the white shirt who gave him standing ovation is Maestro Igor Krutoy, Russian composer and producer, who has composed songs for many , many singers, including Lara Fabian. He is a mogul. six time richer than Donald Tramp. After hearing Dimash, he came back from his retirement, and started to write songs just for him. They are very close, he took Dimash under his wings, and started organizing his concerts. Dimash can sing anything that he wanted to compose but there was not a singer who could do that. More, Dimash is so humble, loving, caring, family oriented young man that is a pleasure to work with him. Please keep reacting, you will see Maestro Krutoy many times on piano with Dimash performing. Ogni Pietra ( Olympico ) was written for Dimash for opening of the European Olypic games in Minsk. Lyrics are GREAT, it is in Italian. If you want to react to it, try to find Fan cam version with CC. Always watch Dimash performances with lyrics. He carefully chooses which song he would sing. Use GLORIA WU channel for older performances, and his official channel for newer. Feelings are even more intense when you read lyrics, and intros to the songs. Uhm, I can write here for 5 hours about Dimash, but it is enough for now. You can ask, and we will gladly answer. Dimash has a huge fan base, and everybody is willing to help new reactor. Welcome to Dimashland :)))

And, as Asel and Gulnara wrote in their comments below, "that eastern (oriental) passage is a traditional Kazakhstan crying (weeping) for somebody who's dead. In Kazakh language it is called 'Zhoktau'. And Dimash included this part into the song in respect for the first singer of this song - Batyrkhan Shukenov, who unfortunately died early. Me, being the Kazakh, was a little bit astonished. Dimash never does anything without big sense, he bulids up all the songs in his own, very specific way! Each note, every tune is just perfect! ❤️🇰🇿 The national music culture of the Kazakh people is very interesting and special. Dimash helps other people to get into his culture and he does it so well. Not only he sang the national song from his country - no, the song in his interpretation just penetrates the hearts and the souls, making people empathize to it. No doubt, Dimash is a patriot , but he is also a great humanist, and that's his power"

Dear Lucas! I've been a fan of Dimash for a year and a half. I listen to Dimas every day. It's like a «drug». It's not enough all the time. The song "Sinful Passion" has been heard without bloggers and bloggers, probably, already 1000 times. But what is the phenomenon of Dimas and his voice? Probably in the perfection of performance and illusion of limitlessness of voice. You're right, in any dimash register it feels as if it's his main register. The ease with which he takes high notes without any effort or strain, strikes. Look how calm and beautiful his face is when he takes high notes. In other singers we see on the face and in movements first trained to take a high note. We see all the effort and tension when he produces this high note. After a high note, the singer breathes deeply and theatrically and can not catch his breath, because he just made a feat - sang us this high note. Dimash is different. There is no preparation, there is no effort on his face, he always has enough air, he takes high notes among other things, in the course of the song, as there is nothing to do. It seems that everything is easy for him. Dimasha is called Alien or Angel. Your impressions and comments are interesting. Dimash all causes admiration, surprise, goosebumps. Or surprise, admiration and tears. To choose from. Thank you for the interesting reaction. Dimasha's repertoire includes 107 songs. In every song you will find a surprise. Hello from Kazakhstan.

I just found Dimash myself. And you're raction to it is just what I needed. You're hearing the feelings aswell. When I see opera singers react to this, they get very tecnical, wich they should, 'cause they know how freaking hard this is. But you don't have to have an education in music to KNOW how hard this is or how impossible it SHOULD be, to sing like that. He's doing what no one should be able to do, and it's freaking awesome.. Also... Hey silverfox

@@coppeemyriam I sing myself, only on a me doing karaoke at home and love singing kind of thing, I KNOW how hard this is, my vocal chords shut when I hear Dimash, 'cause he's the one singing, not me and I wouldn't dare to try and sing like him. He hits notes I only dream about being able to sing. I get blown away every time I listen to this. Dimash is a vocal God in my eyes, and I've listened to A LOT of opera, because I love it, but noone I've ever heard has come close to this. The tenor, countertenor, soprano and alto and all in between, I just can't even. His voice is totally uniqe and I don't even belive in God or Gods, but something in the star system did just right the day Dimash was born, and if there is angels, an angel blessed his vocal chords for us to enjoy. :) Have a joyfull christmas, whereever you are

Some info to this song, especially reg. the cultural style after those high notes: Dimash’s tribal/ethnic riff while singing Sinful Passion… was a tribute/ paying respect to Batyr Shukenov, who died in 2015. Batyr was another famous Kazakh singer, the original singer of this song and member of the same A’Studio band that is accompanying Dimash on the stage. That singing style is an improvisation of ‘zhoktau’ (means crying for a departed person), a traditional Kazakh grief singing by women at funerals. Zhoktau (‘weeping’) is a memorial song by the Kazakhs. Zhoktau is the oldest genre of the poetry of nomadic tribes, preserved and passed into the life of the Kazakh people. Traditionally, it contains verses and text the expressed sorrow about the person who has died, recalling the good deeds he performed.

It appears that you have a good amount of knowledge concerning the background in relation to the songs. Possibly you can tell me about the hand gestures Dimash uses, as I was informed he was taking his song highlights, grasping special notes, and them releasing them to the sky (up to the departed.)

Nothing wrong with pauses, it's a reaction after all. At the end of those 22 seconds, that downward run? Crazy stuff. I cannot sing it, it was just too fast. Oh my suggestion for next because I think while it is awesome to hear songs that display his range, those that show us his soul are even more beautiful. Dimash can hit any note he can think of is because he has the gift of "absolute pitch", which his grandmother noticed when she started taking him to music school when he was 5 years old. His mother is a soprano opera singer, his father also sings with her and has a very smooth and gentlemanly type crooner voice. His family nurtured him from day one and he also worked very hard at training his voice/instrument to be able to do all that he does. Dimash is truly one of a kind voice. Such a gift to us all.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing). Is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist? Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

I believe that "that thing"he does with his voice is called "bleating" and it's kind of mournful or funeral chant. Obviously, I am in love with Dimash, I go to sleep with his songs in my mind, I drive to my work playing his songs in my car,, and I sleep with his songs in my dreams, he stole the hearts of entire world. With that being said; so many fake vocalists and reactionists are taking advantage of Dimash’s popularity and doing reactions to his songs just to get more followers, clicks and subscribers, but I see that you truly enjoy Dimash and your reactions to his beautiful songs and charming voice are pure and honest, thank you for that and keep reacting to Dimash’s songs and engaging new listeners.
