George Harrison is hands down my favorite Beatle. I love this song along with "Give me Love". My Sweet Lord is another popular song of his. He wrote many devotional songs after the Beatles went to India. George really vibed with Hinduism, specifically devotion to Krishna. He also wrote a song for Ringo Starr to record called "It Don't Come Easy", which is another great song. John Lennon also got on the Krishna vibe with "Give Peace a Chance".

I'm right there with you. George was a reductant star and his humility amidst the hostility of the Beatles is what endeared him to his fans. I had a chance to talk with Leon Russell many years ago and he commented on what a kind and sweet person George was.

This video won a competition that George's widow regularly has for this song. I've seen 3 different ones I think. So,, yes years after the song came out. Lennon fangirl but I adore all of them. They are all beautiful and how any of them came through it sane is beyond me.

"What is Life" was all over the radio when I was a little kid. The Beatles were still played all over the radio too for that matter. Their music was an assumed part of life back then. They wrote more than 250 songs, sold tens of millions of records. They changed the culture as the rode the cultural changes of the times. They were a phenomenon. They stand in comparison to Motown rather than to any other rock band of that era -- "All You Need Is Love", "Hey Jude", "Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Let It Be", "Penny Lane" -- and that's just listing a taste of their catalog. George Harrison wrote some great songs for them -- "Here Comes The Sun", "Long Long Long", "Savoy Truffle", and "I Me Mine" among them. Wanna hear something groovy from The Beatles? Check out "Glass Onion" and "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey".

You're talking about the movie "Yesterday". The young man woke up in the hospital, after a traumatic event, and soon realized that things weren't exactly as he thought they should be. In particular no one else seemed to remember "The Beatles". Since he was a musician, and had pretty extensive knowledge of their discography, he decided to "write" as many of their songs as he could remember. He became quite successful lol Btw, i really like all 4 Beatles, but George has become my favorite. Thanks for the excellent vid Biz!

George Harrison was a very underappreciated songwriter among the Beatles. He was only allowed about 2 songs per album. The result was that when the band finally broke up, he had a huge backlog of unrecorded great songs. So much that he immediately was able to release a triple record album, All Things Must Pass. In addition to being a hall of famer for the Beatles and as a solo artist he should be a three timer as a member of the Traveling Wilburys. Not sure if that band is in the hall yet, but they should be.

This speaks to the point I always bring up concerning music reviewers that first experience an artist's music by watching a video. Most if not all older music was heard first, and the listener really got to immerse themselves in the sound, with no distractions. So many videos out there are either MTV era lip-synched artistic videos that were more the vision of a director (don't get me started with those fast cuts... ugh) than the musical artists. Almost all of these videos have inferior sound quality compared to the actual audio recordings. The other videos I see reviewers watch are live performances that pale compared to the quality of the original, studio versions. Personally... I love watching reviewers truly discover a song, the way my generation first discovered them... auditorily.

George was the most spiritual of the Beatles. His inclination was Hare Krishna. George had a #1 Billboard Hit after Beatles broke up called My Sweet Lord. It not only was hugely popular, it's an ode to Hare Krishna.

Musically my favorite Beatle is Paul McCartney but personality-wise, I like Ringo. He's got a great sense of humor and a nonchalant attitude about life. I've seen him in concert 3 or 4 times. Check out "It Don't Come Easy", "Photograph", "You're Sixteen" and "Back Off Boogaloo".

As the soundtrack to my childhood and early teen years, it'd be really difficult to pick a favorite or "best" Beatle. But you're on the right track seeking out their lesser known tracks. George has a couple great ones from Yellow Submarine called "Only A Northern Song" and "It's All Too Much". For his solo stuff, check out "Beware Of Darkness" and the more recent "Devil's Radio". Happy hunting Biz!

All Things Must Pass. A 3 vinyl album. Phil Spector produced, with his famous WALL OF SOUND. The third vinyl in that album is just straight up rocking instrumentals with George, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell, Ringo,. No singing, just rockin'. I still have that vinyl album. I'd like you to do " Blood from A Clone" the track from his album -SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND-.

Hey Biz, if you find the time listen to the whole All things must pass album ( there’s two) great great music throughout .Sad thing is that George wanted to do a lot of these with the Beatles and John and Paul wouldn’t do it, some jealousy perhaps, the quiet Beatle was crushing itSomething Hear comes the Sun we’re equal to what P& J we’re writing

Asking who is your favorite Beatle will usually get one of three answers. John Lennon (my favorite), Paul McCartney or George Harrison. They wrote most of the Beatles songs with John and Paul writing more than George. Fans will sometimes argue over this question too. Old timers grew up with the Beatles and take it all pretty seriously.

You need to hear some John Lennon asap! Mind blowing that three musical geniuses met one another, and then Ringo is extremely talented too. Crazy to contemplate that fact. The album this is from was certified platinum 7 times and made it on best of lists for albums of all time. All Things Must Pass, absolute masterpiece. When you do Lennon, you'll be able to put the pieces together that made the Beatles sound. He is far different from Sir Paul, but just as good if not better in his own way. Paul and John both brilliant, as was George. Today would have been his birthday. RIP.

George might be my favorite Beatle, though I do love John. My current favorite solo Beatle song is John Lennon's "Well Well Well". Amazingly aggressive song, I'd love to play that one live myself, but I'm not in a band. Regarding this song, I personally prefer the 2020 mix to this version. The original mix/2014 remaster has wayyy too much reverb for my liking, and the lead guitar near the end is fairly buried in the mix, and the 2020 mix "fixes" that, in a sense. I do love the song but the 2020 mix is so much better in my personal opinion. Another great George song to react to would be "Art of Dying". Glad you enjoyed this!

My favorite Beatle is Lennon. He also has the best solo work of the four, imo. Paul's solo work is great but it's more poppy and catchy. John's work is deeper and more meaningful but still sounds amazing. George's has a little of both, but not as many good ones as the other two in terms of solo work, imo. Ringo only had a few

I agree that videos like this are distracting. He wrote some amazing songs. His songs Here comes the sun, While my Guitar gently weeps, and Something are in my top ten Beatles songs. This song is from his solo album and expertly produced by George Martin (same as the Beatles). Check out two more of his .. Give me Love Give me Peace on Earth and My Sweet Lord from his solo albums. Thanks!

The Beatles are my favorite band of all time. I love all 4 of them. That said, Paul McCartney is my favorite Beatle and I have had the pleasure of seeing him perform live 5 times in my lifetime. Best concerts I have ever been to. If you do a reaction to MAYBE I'M AMAZED by McCartney I highly recommend doing the live version of the song. It is better than the recorded version. It has more energy and it is less likely to be blocked. Here is the link to the best live version of the song I have ever heard. It was done when Paul McCartney was in the prime of his career. His vocals are incredible. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r96El91kzd2diKM.html

Easy answer. John Lennon. You forgot him each time you listed them lol. Without John around to mock and bitch about it, Paul was free to indulge his goofy side.
