One of the hardest songs to listen to, but it’s beautiful. In hope, for the first time he says he forgives his mom. Take the nf journey, you’ll respect his work even more.

Yeah him saying he forgives her was the most powerful thing for me, video and lyrics. I had a similar thing with my dad when I found Christ while he was in prison and sent him a letter...kinda long story but yeah. To hear him say that hit me hard

Watching people cry listening to NF is basically what the journey is about. He has uplifting songs, but he will certainly affect you emotionally. It's on you to move forward, but... The more vulnerable you are, the more his fanbase will appreciate your reaction. If you don't want to be vulnerable, maybe it's not for you, yet. Just up to you.

If you re-listen to Hope you can hear that he was finally able to forgive his mother. There is a thing called the “NF Journey” that I think you chills really appreciate. He connects most of his music over time. Not all of his music is sad. The Journey will have you feeling happy, sad, excited, and you’ll find yourself cheering him on In others. He is truly a rare type of person.

Bless his heart that’s not all he’s been through…… his song Mansion will explain a little more of what he’s been through…… I promise you won’t regret taking the journey but it is better to start back at the beginning to get his full story…… his music has definitely been a blessing in my life…… Great reaction ❤🖤🗝️🛒 #OUTCAST

Great reaction. I’m one of those children, but all grown up. Living without a parent or parents who didn’t care, who didn’t love, it can break you, it can leave you hollow, leaving you doubting everything about yourself. This songs cuts so deep. Sending you and everyone love from the uk.

A great college basketball coach (Jim Valvano) who passed away from Cancer once said “if you laugh, think and cry, that’s a heck of day”. I really believe that. We need to feel all of our emotions. Men tend to lock away the crying part. Seeing NF exposed like this is (I’m sure) super helpful for everyone but also guys who sometimes need to see that it’s ok. Great reaction. Enjoy the journey!

For me, this song and hate myself are the most difficult. I've probably cried more to hate myself than this one to be honest. But you've got three more albums to listen to before you get to that one. He's got a lot of great music, hype songs, pop/ love songs. It's not all downer music!

This is from his second album. He makes a couple references to this song in his previous songs on the journey. Big moment in Hope is where he finally forgives his mother as opposed to this song were he says "I ain't gonna say that I forgive you because it hasn't happened yet." The title track Manson was featured in Hope when he fell into the house. Many of his songs foreshadow or call back.

Just raw emotion...that's what you get from him. And yes, you may well be crying in some of the videos. My only advice is YOU BE YOU, if you are emotional and feel like crying, then cry. Empathy is one of the most valuable traits a human can have, the ability to see something from somebody else's perspective and feel what they're feeling.

This song really hurts me. All I ever wanted was my dad's love, but instead I got physically abuse by him (I have the scars on my body that reminds me of him). I just wanted a "I'm proud of you son or I love you son" before he passed away 5 years ago, but it never happed, I forgave him at he's funeral and told him I loved him. I hope God has mercy on him.

I found NF when I was at my lowest point at my life. I forgot how I found him but the first song I heard of him was search and that time I was searching for my way to get out of my depression. I became NF fan after that because his music speaks to me through my depression. I’m not saying I’m through with my depression but I have hope that will get out of it and that’s why his new album really speak to me directly.

Yes, his mother overdosed on drugs and died when he and his siblings were very young. While recording this song, NF needed to aso everyone to leave the room as the sadness overtook him. The crying and talking you hear, was him crying to himself that happened to be recorded.

@Zayyhan PS: if you want to understand more, the right way to do the journey is by following the chronological order of his songs, from Mansion to Therapy session to Perception, the search, and clouds, but if you want a shortcut to understanding Nathan more, start by his song "NATE", a little emotional but it's quite perfect for understand his background. (the chronological order is good because NF's using it to tell a complete story, HOPE was full of references to older videos and songs, understanding them would have gave you even more goosebumps)

Ran into your content while I was watching Ren reactions I always try and watch reactions from different groups of people its beautiful thing to see how music impacts people but then I saw you are new to NF and i am current on my journey, this song is very close to me because my mother passed away the year this came out and my mother was a drug addict and heavy drinker six kids and 5 fathers she ended up losing custody to all of us and she died alone on a floor of a bathroom so you can imagine the emotion this brings its beautiful and the feelings are real I sincerely hope you continue your own journey as a creator and mother and creating your business brand you seem like a wonderful soul and mother. looking forward to hearing more Ren his catalog has some beautiful songs. please react to How to be me (live) it's beautiful and has a great story behind the lyrics.

I was introduced to NF from my ex girlfriend from when I was like 18, she got r*ped by 2 guys, her dad died just before, lots of things, things didn't work with us, she happened to get ahold of me a few years back after like 8 years after or something, somehow remembered my number, told me how I was the only person she ever loved and whatnot, she wanted to divorce the guy she was married to, he was in jail and because c*vid crap let him out early, she was doing heroin and he poisoned her with fentanyl, passed a bit over a year ago....but she introduced me to NF, I send random music to people, she sent me him... which already is heavy but hits so much more... could add a lot more but just a gest of how how came across him
