I was at this concert.... brilliant concept.... started the show on a regular stage and did "male" songs then did second half of concert celebrating women on a round stage. I love watching Too Tall Tony Levin the bass player and his white knee pads dancing like he's a teenager out there. the henna tats look cool but you two look a little warm..... hot summer day maybe? kids sound like their having loads of fun in the background..... birds too..... thank you for being beautiful and enjoying one of my all time favs today.

Saw Gabriel on the first tour after leaving Genesis. First time I saw a radio mic used. The stage went dark and next time I saw him he was singing from the seat next to mine! 😀

You just recently listened to Phil Collins singing with Genesis. Peter Gabriel was the original singer with the band as Mr. Collins played drums and sang backup. Amazing band.

You know one of the guys in the band is none other than the legendary Lakshmi Shankar he played the violin he's played with a lot of other bands he did a song with Talking Heads he's one of the greatest violinist he actually did part of the soundtrack for the movie that was an epic masterpiece you've probably seen it and it's called that was an amazing movie I'm sure you seen it since he is the father of your nation because he brought Independence bapu as they called him all right girls that was a good reaction

Peter Gabriel has been around for a long time he started out as vocalist for the band Genesis where Phil Collins at the time played drums before taking over for Genesis. Then Peter Gabriel embarked on a solo career this song is from his album SO there are other great song from this album including Dont give up and Big Time

This one I fell in love with because it was in a movie, "Say Anything"...but since, I have listened very closely to the lyrics and discovered it to be more meaningful than i originally gave it credit. It is from the point of view of someone who is very sensitive, and suffers, day-to-day with the trials and heartache and despair he both sees, and is thrust upon him, in everyday life...and then goes home to True Love, which helps to wash away those influences, and restores him to a proper balance, to deal with those adversities as a decent person: with humane consideration, rather than frustration or pride or prejudice...and he's singing how much, beyond personal, intimate joy with his partner, that their relationship means to him, as he moves in the world. He sees how their love makes him better.

I like the expressions of the Nepali girl on right, like a child in wonderment, exactly how you should be.. Paula Cole was the female vocalist and she was widely noticed from this tour and as a result, recorded her own albums of which I think 'This Fire' is the best..

well, her album had been recorded already but put on hold by the lanel/record company. PG had heard it anyway and asked her to join his band, cause he obviously knows quality when he sees or hears it.

Dear Ladies... Peter Gabriel brought to the West (Europe, the U.S., Canada, etc) what we call "World Music". He began by exploring Africa, where he made friends with many amazing musicians, with whom he recorded their tribal rhythms and incorporated them into his own music. This is how Peter Gabriel revolutionized Pop and Rock music in the early 1980s. He also founded WOMAD -- the World of Music Arts & Dance festival, which blew the minds of his Western fans. From the late 1960s until 1975, Peter Gabriel was the lead singer of the legendary Progressive Rock band, Genesis. Another famous musician to come from Genesis is Phil Collins, one of the greatest Rock and Jazz drummers of all time and a great singer. For about 15 years, Phil was the biggest-selling musical artist in the world, more in demand than even Madonna, or Prince or anybody else. Also from Genesis came a side project for bassist Michael Rutherford -- Mike + the Mechanics, and they had a few major hits in the 1980s. With Genesis, Peter Gabriel used to dress up in strange costumes and make-up, to help visually tell the stories that he was singing. At the time (early 70s) only David Bowie and Alice Cooper were so theatrically strong, so these three truly advanced the art of stage performance for Rock concerts.
