Till Lindemann, the singer, used to pierce his cheek to put the light wire in his mouth. After the show he would drink a beer and pour some out of the hole in his cheek, just for fun. He kept on doing that day after day until the hole in his cheek got infected,causing him great pain. From then on, he just put the light wire in his mouth without piercing his cheek.

Their band name “Rammstein” may already contain a provocation, as the name is closely linked to the accident at the air show in Ramstein on August 28, 1988. In this accident, three aerobatic aircraft crashed into the audience. In total there were 70 fatalities and around 1,000 injured😞

Yes, but it is also a memorial to the victims of the disaster. Without the band, few would remember or even know about this tragedy.

@@noobdernoobder6707 In the documentary "Whispering and Shrieking" about Flake and Paul's former band "Feeling B", it is said that they had "Rammstein Flugschau" written on their tour bus. Paul said about it, "Stupid as we were, we wrote Ramstein with two M's."

You'd already know how to pronounce Rammstein. 👍After this song, everyone should know. 😂 As you've seen this was the first song of the amazing show in Madison Square Garden, "Pu**y" ("**" to avoid my comment to be blocked via algorithm) was the regulary end of that show and "Engel" was the very last after a few encores. I like that you choose the versions with English subtitles from "Buckstabu" or "educated marine" so that you also could follow the lyrics. (Especially for many official videos, it would be confusing without them.) Carry on. I like your reactions to Rammstein.

Rammstein is a city in Germany when in 1988 during an air show a terrible tragedy happened. A plane crashed into the public and there were many dead and wounded. They have a song Rammstein dedicated to the disaster. Therefore the fire.

Ramstein is also the largest air force base in the USA. There was a serious accident at an air show in the eighties. Hence the name...

Till used to have a piercing in his cheek thay we would run the cabel for the light up effect but it ended up geting infected, so now he just had itgoing into his mouth from the outside.

"Lied" in Rammlied is pronounced as "lead" in English. "STEIN" is pronounced as Stein with the "ei" as the English "eye" so Steyen

It would be nice to hear your actual thoughts on the beat, the song itself, what you thought of the lyrics etc. As with a few of Rammstein's songs, especially ones they use to start the concert like here, this was the opening track on the setlist this concert, it is like a call out or message to the fans. They also opened the 2023 tour with this track, although in a far more dramatic way of course! Till is singing here in this song (basically "Ramm-Song") - to us, the audience - that if you feel down, you feel lost, then don't, Rammstein are here, the music, the atmosphere, the community, so tune in, join us! You will find a similar call to the fans, to the people, in the song Armee der Tristen which was the opening song they performed on their 2022 tour. Other songs such as Ein Lied also feel as though they are songs to the fans/audience. I think this is the first video I have seen from your channel. I would really love to hear more from you about your actual interpretations of the imagery, the meaning, the message/story in the lyrics, the beat, etc. I notice you posted today a reaction to one of my absolute favourite songs by Rammstein - 'Fruhling in Paris', I really hope there is more analysis and actual reaction as it is a far more complex and layered song IMO. I hope you understand my comments and feedback, ☮.

@@HouseOfThrees Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply, and for explaining the possible language barrier. I totally understand how it would be difficult to see and hear something for the first time and have difficulty in expressing that in a language other than your mother tongue! Please, do not apologise, I really appreciate you taking the time to drop a comment to explain, and it helps me to better understand too. I think, from what you are saying, your native language is neither English or German; so listening to and watching a video that is in German, then trying to formulate your response in English is a lot to ask of anyone!! This now is only the random thought of an internet stranger - not a criticism or anything - but I wonder if it would be feasible and make interesting videos, if perhaps when you find something to which you have a particularly strong reaction, you reacted/responded/conveyed to each other what you are thinking and feeling as you would naturally, in your first language, and perhaps add English language subtitles to that part of the video in post? Thanks again ☮
