Brad Delp's voice is absolutely one of the greatest ever. I was blessed to grow up in Southeastern Massachusetts with Boston, Aerosmith, J. Geils, The Cars, all Boston bands. Amazing teenage years.

This song to me is perfection . The vocals,The lyrics, The arraignment, The mixing . To me there can be no “ Greatest” rock song but this is one of several Songs that achieve perfection . Heard this song for more than 40 plus years and I still will not turn off the radio or Bluetooth until it ends

Brad Delp was one of a kind vocalist and Tom Scholz is a maestro musician and technician. He built the studio this was recorded in. In his basement. Then later, he invented the Rockman guitar effects pedal! More Than a Feeling is one of the six songs I would have to have on a deserted Island for my very survival.

THIS album is great all the way through. It's hard to pick a favorite song! It's a Friday night cruisin' with the top down kind of vibe.

I was jamming to this album brand new in the barracks, stationed in Germany, drinking Bitburger Pilsner. Read about the origins of this first album, done in his basement and one guy did all the instruments.

This song… I never tire of it. This song is now one of those old songs they used to play but it never gets old… it’s timeless. I am like the Marianne in the lyrics who walked away from a boy way back when it came out, and he’s gone now and I still miss him. It gets me every time. And when Brad Delp hits that incredible high note and holds it, my heart breaks all over again. Thank you so much for sharing this tune. One of my favorite bands of all time. I love seeing people hear Boston for the first time.

Hard to imagine Tom Scholz wrote produced and played everything on the album! The only thing he didn't do was the vocals, which he hired a vocalist to sing on the record. It was entirely recorded on a 4-track recorder then brought to an actual studio for mixing and mastering.

This is a very rare type of song that can bring a smile to your face and tear to your eye at the same time.

Boston is a great band to listen. On the same hard-rock family you have Kansas, Styx, Toto, Journey, Reo Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Meat Loaf and Survivor. Closer to Deep Purple’s sound, check Uriah Heep, Blue Oyster Cult and Magnum. Besides Scorpions, dive on early Def Leppard, UFO, Michael Schenker Group and early Europe. Doctor, Doctor from UFO, Strange Ways from Deep Purple and Wasted from Def Leppard, are great songs for your ride. Great stuff!

70's into the late 80's was the era of some of the best rock music. The vocals were amazing, the musical arrangements were great. I grew up on this music!

I was 13 yrs old when this album came out. It sold a million copies in one month! Everybody had this album. It blew the world away! It was recorded in the guitar players basement! Talk about knowing what your doing! This album to date has sold over a billion copies world wide!!! No band has ever hit that mark except for BOSTON. They got big so fast that the lead singer Brad Delp was totally overwhelmed. It broke him and he committed suicide to escape the fame. There is no disaster like fame if you are not ready for it! He will be greatly missed.

Boston had EVERYTHING, their music is so beautiful. I saw them live in 2016 and they were just as good! It's just so well done.

More than 40 years later Brad Delps vocals still blow my mind!

This whole album is a must have for any classic rock collection. It's consistently a party for my ear drums, then on the B side, there's one song that tones things down, then afterwards it picks back up. Really awesome album. Classic rock can only truly be appreciated with quality headphones, with a turntable that has a quality stylus. There's so much robustness in music on vinyl from this era that can't be replicated in digital format. You're cheating yourself out of a real audio experience if listening to classic rock in digital format.

There are some songs that are on another level and become legendary anthems this is one of them ! best ever in my opinion

To say this , Bostons' debut album is the GOAT is a very strong statement, particularly considering the contenders... This album stands above and amongst the best ever... This song brings me back to a time when I was a 10 year old boy. All those feelings of what it was like growing up having my parents, brothers, and sister there. It's like a dream.

Every song on this LP ROCKS !!

Many of us elders listened to these old classics when they were first released, and heard them over many years, getting so used to hearing them, we took them for granted. Now, after all these years, we watch someone much younger hearing them for the first time and see the expression on their face, as they sit in amazement at the sounds, reminding us that these really are great songs, even today.

I could listen to about 10 songs total over and over. This is one of them!

My favorite song by Boston is “A Man I’ll Never Be.” From the album “Third Stage.”

Crazy all the music was done by one guy and a singer. Interesting band to dive into. One guy wrote all the lyrics and music. And played all the instruments in the album from a home built studio in an apartment. This guy invented a lot of stuff studio wise. He worked for IBM or something at one point.

I wish they were still around. I only got to see them live once. ❤🤘

Ohhhh, this song brings back memories. I dated a guy back in my late teens who had a black TransAm with the orange & red stripes down the sides, t-tops and red, leather interior. This beast had a shift kit in it and had the Boston spaceship and the crystal city was hand-painted (not by him, of course) on the hood scoop. Every time I hear a Boston song, it brings me back to that car chirping into second gear! /m\ Boston was always amazing. Killer vocal range, dueling guitars in solos. I tell you my man, you really need to hear the SACD (Super Audio CD) version. You can buy the digital download online or search for the physical disc. Listening to it in DSD (Direct Stream Digital) is a whole new world. Find yourself a DAC (digital to analog converter) that supports DSD or DoP (DSD over PCM) and get a really nice pair of headphones or an SACD player with a good amplifier and speakers and be blown away.
