Frank, Pappo was contemporary to Black Sabbath and he lived in UK for a while -even had a band with Lemmy that later turned to be Motorhead. So it's probably he was influenced by the scene he was in? Not because a band had more visibility worldwide than the other it means Pappo stole it...

Exactly. In fact i don't see a toni iommi influence here. I see more cream and Zeppelin influence. In fact pappo played like pappo. Had nothin to do with iommi. These italian cats didn't understand a thing.

Mila, I agree! Anyway, there is nothing wrong about being influenced in terms of art when you have your own "impronta". Everything could become a little different according to the interpretation of the subject; but the essence of the artist will be always there, like a DNA and it's origin is Africa, not Back Sabbath! In this case they need a well known referrer to have an idea of what it is about and to compare it with. Just to justify the video at least, saying Oh! Black Sabbath, an illuminati! We could say that's a normal reaction of someone who ignores, but also underestimates an artist in advance, comparing him. It's a matter of prudence and respect. I guess we all do that sometimes so nothing wrong with it. But doing it systematically in every video, is another story; Soda Stéreo? Police! The Cure! Of course there was a UK influence. It was impossible to be indifferent to The Beatles, The Rollings, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, The Who and many more. It's like getting a dish of spaghetti so I look at you and say Oh! "LO MIEN NOODLES" Yeah! The Italians got the pasta from China. So what? Did they owned it? We all know how important was England in Rock history, like the US. But rock doesn't belong to them only. Like Philosophy doesn't belong to the Italians. Stop with the marketing when you're talking about art or knowledge. Perché non fai la reazzione sul UK Rock in English? e dici; Talking Heads? Oh! Zucchero! E meglio non parlare sulla mamma; come diceva Pappo, "poquee loma grande queai!". Per ciò che le donne non vóglieno bene le suoccere in Italia e cercano le suoccere argentine. I ragazzi italiani hanno il complesso edipico irrisolto. E sí! Come Black Sabbath! e Pappo! Vi prego non parlare piú di rock argentino. There is another guy from Spain who knows a lot about music and does it very well, ShaunTrack, he recreats the music and notice the different improntas. Perdón Mila, fué un lápsus. Let me give you a hand here...you all got it all wrong......in that period..late 72-early 73.....not many people here heard black sabbath...no one released their records here in argentina untill the late 70's His period living in the uk,was AFTER THIS RECORDING.that means he didn't stole shit,you Lady with the big mouth.the crazy thing is that pappo was the only one here doing the kind of Music black sabbath was doing in the uk.he was mostly a blues fan,but he was into jimi hendrix,cream,John mayall...he comes from that school

Pappo's plays the guitar, Machi Rufino plays the bass and Pomo Lorenzo plays the drum. These two last musicians integrated Invisible, the third Spinetta's band a few years later after recording this song with Pappo

Muito bom , sou fã do rock Argentino (Rock Nacional), a quase 50 anos. Tenho este LP - Pappo"s Blues vol 3 , comprado em Buenos Aires em 1973,. Este disco é excepcional, da minha "discoteca", mais de 3000 discos, considero que este disco está entre os 10 melhores, também considero Pappo entre os 10 melhores guitarristas de rock-blues (do estilo) do mundo. Todos meus amigos adoravam, inclusive, estrangeiros, que ficavam surpreendidos. Pappo no Brasil participou da banda Patrulha do Espaço, junto com Arnaldo Batista (Mutantes).

Sou fã de Pappo e do Rock Argentino (Nacional) quase 50 anos, adoro Junto a Par, apesar do estilo diferente de Pappo's Blues, que é minha formação preferida. Meu filho também se tornou um fá, indo até o "interior" para assistir shows, em especial de Índio Solari. Seu TCC da graduação em História, na UDESC, foi sobre "Los Redondos".

Frank, a curious fact is that both the bass player and the drummer of this band, named Pappo's Blues, went later on to play with Spinetta on a band named Invisible (1973-1976). They are Carlos 'Machi' Rufino, bass, and Héctor 'Pomo' Lorenzo, drums. A comparison between Pappo's Blues 3 (this Album from 1972) and the first Invisible album from 1973, is astonishing, por sure. You must hear and compare.

por si ustedes no saben esta canción es de la década de los 70´s lamentablemente Pappo falleció en un accidente de motocicleta hace unos años pero fue un gran guitarrista argentino e inclusive toco con B B King en el Madison Square garden

Muchachos , obvio que fuimos influenciados por el rock ingles y norteamericano. Lo hicimos en español esa es la diferencia. Papo conto como en aquellos tiempos aprendian las notas, relentizando el vinilo para buscar el tonoen su guitarra , tan bizarro y genial al mismo tiempo.

Pappo toca desde el 67' es contemporáneo de Ozzy, por lo tanto sus influencias no están marcadas por Black Sabbath, tocó junto a B.B. King quién lo catalogo como uno de los mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos. Un grande Pappo.

His name was Norberto Aníbal Napolitano This songs is from 1973, check the lyrics are really good.. He visited uk and california.. Got a lot of records and guitars... Went back to argentina played in Abuelos de la Nada, Los Gatos (great band), Riff (should check Riff epic band) and his solo.

Si vos en 1972 kerias hacer rock duro o pesado no habia muchas bandas que hacian rock duro, obvio que bandas como black sabbath. Zeppelin o hendrix .te van a influenciar mucho. por que ellos hacian rock pesado en esa epoca !

Para ese entonces pappo ya habia grabado 2 albums con los gatos y 2 con pappos blues. Y participado en grabaciones de spinetta y tambien la pesada de billy bond. Este tema está en pappos blues vol.3

Here in Argentina is a legend he was one of the pioneers of blues, rock and heavy metal in Spanish. Pappo not only was one of the best guitar players in Argentina, he played so well that was invited to play by BB King. But there´s also very interesting his stories...legends, he enjoyed so much playing live, that he played 7 hs ...only because he wanted.

for me the besto of pappo's blues is one called sandwiches de miga. pappo lived in england right before he came up with pappo's blues in 1970, he was a friend of Lemmy, saw the first motorhead shows, he was also loved by BB KING, they played together many times

El hijo de pappo, se llama luciano y esta fabricando guitarras muy buenas con el nombre pappo, estas guitarras son muy particulares por q son guitarras numeradas, eso significa que tienen un codigo que hace que la persona que compre una guitarra va tener un registro de compra y venta sobre esa guitarras, una especie de matricula para cada guitarra, eso hace que puedan ser rastreadas en caso de que sean robadas y denunciadas si te la roban y despues quieren ser vendidas a otro. Por otro lado, pappo fue uno de los miembros de motorhead en el comienzo. Y fue el unico argentino que toco en el madison squard garden con bb king. guys, I understand the comparison with Black Sabbath but Pappo probably never heard about them. I was going going to Pappo's concert in the 70s and information we were getting down there in Argentina about world music was close to none :)
