This song somehow gives me mixed emotions - longing for the past, wistfulness, but also hope and muted joy. It leaves me somehow with a somewhat heavy feeling because that happy place was just a dream. Or is it just a mirror reflecting what each viewer feels? In any case, it was definitely a beautiful music video befitting someone who graduated with honors in multi-media arts.

As an introvert (specifically, an INFP personality type), I really relate to Justin's song and MV. This is like a peek into the world of an introvert. I especially love the addition of Gelou's voice harmonizing with Justin in the latter part of the song. It was a duet between Justin and his imaginary friend/old friend. The song gives me a sense of longing for peace and companionship. By the way, Gelou is a member of a girl group called Yara. Yara was SB19's sister group in their early ShowBT days.

Thank you for the reaction to Justin's mv and for appreciating his artistry. Justin is the opposite of his co members personality.. if the other members have a darker theme, Justin is the calm one in the group. you can notice in his lyrics. I've been to Northern Blossom in Atok Benguet. Place has spectacular view, & amazing flowers. You can watch sea of clouds at about 5am and the weather is colder than Baguio, which is considered Summer Capital of the Phil.

This song Surreal is written by Justin and he is also the Creative Director of the MV. Radkidz (Pablo & Josue) produced and mixed the beats of the song. Stell is the HMUA (hair & makeup artist) and content producer. Gelou of Yara (a PPop girl group) harmonize with him when he was on the cliff and she might be also the silhouette girl who blew wind on Justin. The locations are in the Northern part of the Philippines (Benguet & Zambales) while the one with snow is in South Korea.

the snow is in South Korea. all other shots are in the Philippines. they were awake as early as 3am just waiting for the perfect time to take those dawn shots. Jah said that the song is about finding someone who can share same dreams. the shoe represents his journey in SB19 and as a solo artist. the sprouts/flowers represent his growth. maybe the pine cone represents from seed, then sprouts, then flowers. my take is that the "imaginary friend" are those who are with him during SB19 days and those who will continue to support him during his solo career -- through thick and thin. so the "imaginary friend" are his bros in SB19, staff, family, friends, A'tin and casuals. and if am wrong, still proud of Jah's debut song. it screams beauty, kindness and calm. a wonderful reminder especially during this fast paced lifestyle. thank you so much for appreciating Jah and the mv reaction

This song is comforting. It just have a subtle hint of sadness. like longing for someone. It may be different as Jah explained it to be but for me Justin here represent someone who lost a loved one. He is stuck on that time when the other person was alive so he created a perfect world for himself where he could be with her. at the cliff was the time when reality struck him and let himself to heal. like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. thus the band aids and butterfly at the end. Well, It's just me for me though. It may be different for everyone. 😅 But overall, I'm so proud of Jah 😊

Except the place where there's snow, (shot in Korea) everything is shot the Philippines. The mountain side is in Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok Benguet, Mountain Province.

Apparently all the scenes were shot in the Philippines except for the ones with snow and that was filmed in South Korea. The mountainous areas with pine trees were shot in the summer capital of the Philippines up north. From Justin's interview he mentioned that he wrote the song as somebody with a loved one and they share that child-like, tender moments. It's smartly filmed making you think that it's an imaginary friend because they don't show a face but it's actually his imagined love interest and how they want to be.

A heartwarming song that all emotions were coming out. Justin truly is a storyteller, an artist who exceeds our expectations. His voice is so calming, eargasm and I can feel the warmth and passion from him in doing this.
