I saw INXS twice in the late 1980's, they were amazing. Swear to God, Michael Hutchence was the most beautiful human being I've ever seen. He oozed sexuality, personality, and passion. I cried when he died and I don't usually care about famous people.

Ditto. I saw them twice. The last time was 3 months before he passed. We were at an outdoor venue in Cleveland. It was pouring rain. We really didn’t think the concert would play. But OMG, most of the crowd left, and INXS played for those of us brave enough to endure the downpour. Michael Hutchence walked among the tiny crowd removing articles of his clothing. He was sexy as hell. For the encore we screamed for Suicide Blonde . Sure enough, we got our wish. They rocked it that rainy cold night. We were so blessed to see them not once but twice.

This is INXS at the height of their powers, when they might very well have been the best live band on the planet. @@michaelt3308 I did say “might have been”, and opinions are always subjective. But you might be right if we’re talking about 1986, when Queen rocked Live Aid, and INXS really made their first big splash on the world scene with their performance that same year. But by the time of this performance in ‘91, INXS had pretty much conquered the planet.

i agree with everything you said with exception to greatest live band on the planet... That accolade goes to U2, universally acknowledged by critics, fans, awards, and record breaking gross ticket sales. after Joshua Tree 87 and subsequent tour U2 went aways for a while and INXS rightly benefited from that absence and yes they dominated during this time but then 91 release of U2 actung baby album and their reinvention for the 90s and ZOOTV tour 92 reaffirmed them and they reclaimed their title. INXS were defo right up there though! Michael Hutchence was one of the all time great vocalists and front men!

Saw them back in the 90s in Detroit. Public Image Limited opened for them. It was an amazing concert.

I see you enjoy ramped up fun! I see the smiles and the seat dancing INXS moves! They were the get up on the dance floor music. But wait until you hear the ballads. INXS Music Channel on KZfaq recently posted all the live Wembley videos! P.s. the guys are not only fun they're HOT. 💥

Michael Hutchence was one of the last great live entertainers, performers like him are a rarity these days. The only other person I could liken him to when it came to being on stage would have to be Freddy Mercury.

The late gret Michael Hutchence was such a star. Chaismatic, exciting to watch and one of the few frontmen who was a baritone. He also cowrote most of the songs with Andrew F.

Australian culture is very much about having fun, we work to live not live to work, I feel like this comes across in a lot of our music as well, our artists just love to enjoy themselves.

I'm totally surprised about the fact that in the book "Michael, my brother" his sister said that during his whole life, Michael had asthma. During his childhood was more noticiable. But when I watched this, him jumping, running and singing at the same time it blows my mind!

Such a heartbreaking tragedy when Michael Hutchence took his life in 11/97. I was shocked & despondent, couldn't believe it. INXS was incomparable, has a huge catalog of music. Michael was irreplaceable as frontman, truly unique.

I saw them at a relatively small venue in Fl. In the same general time frame. Michael Hutcence was mesmerizing. He reminded me a bit of Jim Morrison that way. I didn't watch the band, I watched him. I say here, the band was great, but he was definitely the main event.

this song was their breakthrough single in North America in 86. Their next album took them to the next level (87"s Kick). This performance was on the tour for the follow up album... The one with Suicide Blonde on it. They have so many epic tunes.

I only got to see them once in the late 80s despite being a fan for nearly a decade prior. As a 10 yr old who randomly bought “Underneath the Colours” on a whim. Extraordinary the lot of them. Vale Michael. 25 years this year since we lost him but his music and legacy for Australian music will always live on.

Unfortunately, since that performance, lead singer Michael passed away. They did recruit another guy J.D. Fortune for a while as well as John Stevens from another Aussie Band called Noiseworks who had a great voice. You should check them out. Songs like No Lies. Kez 🙋🇦🇺🎤

INXS ( pronounced "in excess ") single headedly killed Disco in Australia because they played dance rock. Started out in 1980 so the Wembley concert was them at the top of their game. RIP Michael Hutchence.
