Hi! My name is Angela and I am travelling all over Europe this summer. In this vlog, I take you along with me as I travel to Barcelona, Spain. I explored so many of Barcelona's most popular attractions, ate incredible Spanish food including tapas and paella, and also got my first taste of solo travel after my parents flew back home. hiiii, I'm going in Barcelona next week for my first solo trip as a young woman and I wanted to know if you felt safe there alone ? and also if you had any experiences with pick pockets and all those stuff

Hi Camille! I never felt unsafe in Barcelona, but it is important to still be cautious especially because of all the pickpockets. I recommend watching videos about how to prevent getting pickpocketed before you go, but you will probably be fine! Wishing you all the best in your travels :)

I really loved my hostel, but it was more for people working at least when I went in May. It wasn't as social of a hostel, but if you are looking for a place to relax, Rodamon is a great option!

Approximately how far was your hostel from the airport & public transportation? I'm 51 years young, but not interested in clubs or doing a lot of extra socializing while there.

Hey Tiffany! I stayed at the Rodamon Hostel in Barcelona which was super nice but pretty quiet and most people kept to themself. I felt safe in Barcelona as a female solo traveller but there are a lot of pickpockets so you need to keep an eye on your belongings. I loved solo travelling in Barcelona, I recommend going on a free walking tour around the city and checking out the Sagrada Familia which you need to pre-purchase tickets for. I hope this answers your questions and you have a great trip!!
