It's the chemistry between Seth and Charlize that makes this movie work for me. I would watch two hours of them hanging out and talking.

Fun Fact: Test Audiences hated the “Runaway Slave” gag, but it was an important plot point to the movie, and they didn’t have time to reshoot it, and couldn’t cut it out. So they added the “Django” cameo at the last second as a way to make the joke more classy.

Seb should definetly watch Blazing Saddles (1974) as soon as possible! It's such a classic spoof western that I would love Seb to watch. Anyone else who wants him to see it can start recommending it as well ;)

This movie, even more than Ted, is what live action Family Guy would be like. It's exactly how Macfarlane does his intermitent gags on the show.

Ewan McGregor was shooting another movie in the area, and when asked if he could like a cameo appearance, he was happy to cooperate. (Source: IMdb) I believe this was the first time McGregor and Neeson reunited since filming The Phantom Menace.

The thing about smiling while taking the picture, back when photography was fairly new, it took I think around half an hour for a picture to actually be taken, it could've been longer I'm not sure, so whoever was getting their picture taken had to stay as still as possible the entire time to not ruin it. So if someone wanted to smile, they'd have to hold it for a long time
@wolfwing1Ай бұрын
well even if they didn't, 90% of the photo be no smile, so thats what would be the majority of what you see.

Fun facts about Liam Neeson in this film: *Liam Neeson agreed to play the role of Clinch on the condition that he do a broad Irish accent. *Liam Neeson plays an antagonistic outlaw cowboy. In Prick Up Your Ears (2006), Peter Griffin jokes that without his knowledge, his kids will be "as hopeless as Liam Neeson playing an American cowboy." *When Liam Neeson was asked to play the antagonist he accepted due to a scene in Family Guy where Peter says "Imagine Liam Neeson in a Western! Ha! With that funny accent of his!" Source: IMdb

Keeping a hand soft was a reference to the book Of Mice and Men. One character worked on a farm but kept one hand in a glove full of vaseline to keep it soft for his wife.

I don't know if keeping one of your hands soft works, but I know I read it in book that's almost a decade old called "Of mice and men" and there was this guy called Curley who hand one glove full of vaseling to keep it soft for his new wife. That marriage didn't last long either, but the outcome is very different to this one lol

If you want to watch more westerns instead of the Spaghetti Westerns of like Clint Eastwood you could always go more Sam Elliott or Tom Selleck with movies like Crossfire Trail, Quigley Down Under, Shadow Riders I think the other one would be battle for Sandy River or something like that those are all good movies as well

$1 US was around $26-$28 in 1882. The thing that makes it so crazy is that a loaf of bread was MAYBE a nickle. A horse would cost anywhere from $1-$5. A gun wouldve been around 25-75 cents likely
