It's amazing how many things Back To The Future 2 actually did get right about life in 2015; drones, hoverboards, entirely CGI films, pointless sequels, 80s nostalgia, smart phones, fingerprint identification, flat screen tvs, watching multiple channels on 1 tv at once, face time calling, robot servers at restaurants, self tieing shows (though they only exist because of this film), A.I. in machines, & The Chicago Cubs winning The World Series (although, they were 1 year off with that 1).

Fun info: when Biff exits the DeLorean he vanishes in pain because Loraine murdered him at some point after 1985.

Greatest Trilogy of all time amd most watched since I was a child, Back to the Future 2 was mega extra special if you watched it before 2015. Love all 3 of the movies, I often watch all 3 back to back and treat them as one Iong movie.

If I’m lying I’m dying , this was my favorite movie growing up had it on dvd ,when I was in 8th grade the day October 21,2015 I was outside playing color tag with my friends and out of nowhere start pouring down rain we all ran in the house laughing because we were soaked etc my last friend ran in the house screaming what time is it what time is it and it was 4:15 ! We all start being in Awe because a few mins later it stopped raining ❤🎉I’ll never forget that 😂

It so funny to see Liala getting mad at Biff without knowing how much of a sweetheart the actor who played him (Thomas Wilson) actually is off-screen. Goes to show how talented the acting was.

I love how they made up Liz Shue to look so much like Claudia Wells, that you really had to think; "wait, is that the same Jennifer?" If you had a large gap between watching 1 and 2, it was even more confusing.

It's not a spoiler, it's a teaser for the next film. The bit which follows was part of the original theatrical release. It's good that people told you about that so you could make your own mind up but I wonder how many of them actually saw this in the cinema?

There are some fun facts about this one. This movie was filmed back-to-back with Part III. If you notice they replaced the actress who played Jennifer Parker, Claudia Wells in the original Back to the future, but had to pull out of appearing in Part II after her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Elizabeth Shue was cast in the role instead and even re-shot the final scene of the first film, so it could be ‘replayed’ at the beginning of the second. This was Elijah Wood in his very first film role, Wood’s role, as an awed child by the arcade cabinet playing that game with pistols, Crispin Glover who portrais Mcfly Sr in the first one did not apper on this one. According to Glover, he discovered that he was offered far less to reprise his role in any given sequel than Lea Thompson for a similarly sized role, Glover’s agents demanded a higher fee and script approval, and Bob Gale responded by offering even less money than before. As a result, Glover pulled out of the sequel as was replaced by Jeffrey Weissman in heavy prosthetics. This is partly why George McFly is almost always shot in the dark, from behind, or upside-down. One of the more memorable gags about the future occurs when Marty is assailed by a holographic shark outside the cinema (or ‘Holomax’). The Jaws films, in spite of the critically panned Jaws 3-D and Jaws 4, are still going strong in the fictional 2015, marking the nineteenth entry in the franchise. Ouch! She then falls 30 feet on to the concrete below. Evidently Zemeckis saw a silver lining in this on-set mishap, as that take is the one we see in the film. Keep up the good work.

Biff as Trump always gets me. Yes... that was supposed to be him as a Trump analogue. People forget, but I believe it was right there on the Director's commentary when this went to DVD as a box set. The part you DIDN'T watch was shown in the theaters as part of the movie. The people who told you not to watch don't know what they're talking about. It's a teaser for Part 3, but one they expected the viewers of Part 2 to see.

This movie actually had a massive effect on Hollywood in regards to how actors' likenesses can be used. Crispin Glover, who played George McFly, was upset with the previous film's ending and how it seems to imply that wealth is required for happiness in one's life. He refused to return for Part 2 and 3, so they had to either write around George's absence, hire body doubles, or utilize pre-existing footage from the first movie. Glover was outraged over the unauthorized use of his likeness without any compensation for it, filed a lawsuit, and won. This ended up setting a precedent within the filmmaking industry, and now studios need to have legal permission from actors whenever their likeness is used for a production.

In 2015, why did they take Jennifer out of the car.. Couldn’t they just have locked it??

In regard to the cranky commenters: If you were to go through all movie plots, you could find billions of flaws, but then the movies would not be very fun to watch multiple times. I don't know why the complainers even watch movies. They just don't know how to chill and laugh.

It takes a while but Back to the Future Part 2 totally grows on you

Most people don't actually notice it, but Christopher Lloyd did wear a thin layer of prosthetic make-up in the 1985 scenes of the first movie to make Doc Brown look older than he does in 1955. So to avoid the need to wear that prosthetic make-up through all of Part 2, they make it that Doc got a rejuvenation procedure in the future to make himself look younger and had Doc pull off the prosthetics to reveal his younger appearance.

An interesting thing I read is how doc saves Marty's life a couple times in this movie. It implies that in alternate timelines Marty actually dies when he jumps off the roof and at the end of the tunnel. Doc has no reason to be at either of them unless he knew to be there after reading about him dying there.
