10:55 A bit of trivia: This is actually an ambigram. I've seen it in a live performance somewhere. It says 'Save me', and when you twist it 180 degrees, it's says 'I'm fine'. It reflects perfectly the message of the song of hiding your true identity for someone because you love them so much, but not being truly happy, They put so much detail into everything.

If you look at the guys while they're dancing to 'fake love' you will see hands over eyes, hands over ears, hands over mouths. Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. It's much more noticeable on live performances. I think it's so very cool how they incorporate really deep ideas into the choreography as well as the lyrics.

Here’s one thing everyone wants you to know about it for sure: those effects in the background of the music video like the explosions and the floor dropping as Jungkook runs? None of that is CGI. Those things were coordinated and planned by their amazing production and special effects team. Thought of mentioning this since you talked about set design. I hope somewhere in your schedule you get the time to react to one of their MV making videos and shooting sketches cause those are basically behind the scenes content. You’ll see how everything gets done as well as how kindly they interact with their staff. It reinforces how big of a team supports our seven boys from behind and it’s really beautiful to see. (2) ON LIVE PERFORMANCES OF IT: Fake Love is especially amazing when performed live so I can’t wait for you guys to get to that (*giggling as a Jungkook biased ARMY, you’ll see what I mean soon enough!) When you do get to watching a live performance of Fake Love, I would also recommend watching one of the more recent performances like at the Permission to Dance: Las Vegas/Los Angeles/Korea concerts where their costumes are edgier and more refined to the song (apart from the end of the year award show performances of course). This was the MV that made me an ARMY. As a filmmaker, I was very in awe of everything. It's high quality; the cinematography, the set, everything. I knew K-pop music videos are really like this in terms of production...but Fake Love MV was something else. Then when I read the lyrics, I start to become more invested in the group. And FYI, most are practical effects and minimal VFX.

Jungkook's slight show of abs made Army's all around the world crazy at the time this MV was released. The JK we see nowadays is NOT how he was in 2018 (at least physically). He was the adored baby of the group. So this was a huge deal at that time. U guys missed the sudden transformation that he went through from 2019 to Now. The tattoos, piercings, long hair🙈 What a journey it was! Everyday was a surprise.

When “Save Me” is viewed upside down it reads “I”m Fine” which is another one of their songs.

My favorite part of the chores is the mirror part with J-hope and Jungkook!!!! I also love the part in the chorus when jin sings “fake love” and he does this really quick sequence where he covers his eyes, then his ears, and then his mouth.. like see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. It was Jimin with the water and the hard dancing in the end. He has actually said this is one of the toughest dances for him. Maybe because he struggles with some chronic muscle injuries in his neck and back. To find out more about the making of the MVs they release making of videos for almost all of them. It's always mindblowing how much they do without CG. Especially for an MV like Idol, where pretty much all of it was believed to be CG yet they actually had real sets for most of it. Before 2020 you can't find one with subs on BangtanSubs. After that BTS added subs of their own releases.

If i recall even the falling floors weren't CGI they actually built the floors to fall. The water coming from behind Jimin was actually water being pumped out and Suga fire scene was slightly enhanced to make the fire appear bigger. These video production were amazing.

Fake Love was the first song and mv I heard/seen from them and it’s what got me into BTS so this song will always have a special place in my heart.* *Knowing y’all are musicians and love breaking down and depicting the musical aspect of BTS’ tracks, not only sonically is this song amazing but they have a Rock Version music video I highly recommend reacting to. It’s the same song but with a heavier, grittier, rockier vibe with electric guitars and all. It also further adds to and explains the BTS Universe. If you didn’t know, Fake Love (both mv versions) is one of many music videos based on their fictional storyline and if you know the backstory of the BU (BTS Universe) everything becomes so unbelievably clear and you will catch things in the music videos you never questioned before so it’s super interesting to find the clues in the music videos and then go and watch the explanation videos. What once was just a prop, background or simple quick scene in an mv set suddenly has so much more meaning and history behind it and this practice makes watching BTS mv’s so much more enjoyable because it adds another element beyond visuals and sound. It gives you something to actually look into. This is extremely common in most of their mv’s so be on the look out for that. Daniel said that the set design was amazing…. well ❗️hint hint ❗️the set design was very intentional and trust me every set design in Fake Love all connects back to a much larger overall idea of the BU and the set designs have been used before in previous trailers, highlights reels etc.. This song is very special to me. I saw them perform this for the very first time at the Billboard music awards in Las Vegas in May 2018. It was their premier stage, very first time performing it and my very first time seeing BTS. This is also my very very first Comeback even though I became ARMY in Nov 2017. This song is part of their Bangtan Universe storyline that runs through a lot of their Music Videos. The hand is See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil. V‘s „Love you so bad“ and his deep voice in the beginning gives me shivers.

The lyrics for this one always hit me so hard, particularly the line from the chorus "I grew a Flower that can't bloom in a Dream that can't come true" It perfectly represents the beauty of something as elusive as True Love. In the end, Fake Love isn't only about being hurt by someone else, it's not blaming someone else for making fake promises, it's the frustration of oneself to realize they've been caught in this trap of doing anything for the person they desire to the point of hurting themselves. True Love becoming toxic and Fake by being twisted in one's own mind. It's such a unique but realistic take on toxic relationships and Love and that line just truly takes that entire concept. A beautiful thing like a Dream becoming a prison to ones feelings, the ideal of love, the flower, unable to blossom due to an unrealistic standard. 'I'll do anything for you' but taken to the very extreme of self destruction to reach for the impossible. It's so beautiful and I thank BTS every day for creating such a powerful song that probably hit home for so many people who hadn't recognized this behavior in their own relationships. Because that is truly what Loving Yourself, a message BTS has been spreading for years now, means. To realize that you're important too, to not destroy yourself for the sake of others, to value your own life and happiness as much as you do other people's. Not only shouldn't you take abuse from anyone else, you also shouldn't take it from yourself.

As I'm sure you've realized BTS songs and videos have deep meaning. Sometimes they cannot come right out & say how they feel in their country so they express it in other ways. Just when you think their videos are over, they're not. I love that. In my opinion one of the best bts songs. I first watched this when I was high lol. I just remember being so amazed with Sugas rap, RMs lyrics and jimins beauty. Then I watched it 100 times that it’s now embedded in my memory. The song is pretty self explanatory by itself. The MV is littered with Easter eggs. It’s very beautiful. This song with headphones is amazing. Jhope, Tae, jimin, sugas vocals is chef kiss. Jimins sillouhete dancing with the bass is underrated. Jins acting and JKs abs. One of my fav MVs.

One thing that I learned is that everything BTS puts in their MV means or represent something and its cool that ARMYs will do theories on this. There is a random video of seeing Jimin tying his shoe lace while doing the opening sequence which is legendary. It’s only a 30 second clip with no other spoilers so should you should check it out! Definitely a great song and the no cgi just astounds me! I watched the behind the scenes which was amazing! One thing about fake love is that it has an intense fan chant to go with it which I’ve heard so many times that it sometimes feels weird to hear the song without it Love your reaction and can’t wait to see more! Their choreographies always grasp the message or the meaning of the songs very well. Sometimes their choreographies are deep and meaningful too. Like this one. I haven't seen much people talk about the meanings behind their dance moves much. I was surprised you guys saw a lot of details even though it's your first time watching this. The dance has as Jhope explained, the three wise monkeys see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil concept going on. Also marionette dance. It's really cool how it shows the meaning of the whole concept.

J hope laying on the snickers bar is a part of the BTS Universe storyline , Hoseok was visiting an amusement park with his mother at eight years old . They stopped in front of a carousel, and his mother handed him the chocolate bar . "Close your eyes", she instructed , and "count to ten ."While his eyes were closed and he was counting , his mother walked away . When he opened his eyes she was gone . She abandoned him .

This is my favorite choreography in a BTS song I think. How it tells the story and the beauty in the movements. It's a life goal to be in the audience for a Fake Love performance and do the fanchant! When I saw their Permission to Dance concert that was broadcast in theaters, the whole theater did the fanchant to Fake Love and even that was amazing haha

The MMA 2018 live performance is transcendent! Straight up God tier artistry and storytelling. On a side note, my first MV was DNA, and I was like, huh ok let me look at one more to see if this is a band I wanna check out. I clicked on this MV and it straight up, "This is Sparta!"d me right down the BTS rabbit hole. Best decision I have ever made and I haven't looked back since.

Okay so this MV will be tough for you to understand. It's a part of the BU (Bangtan Universe) storyline and that has been a part of their MVs for a long time. You will be able to make connections if you watch the Love Yourself highlight films. Everything down to the Snicker bars in Hobi's scene has a story behind it. It's connected to his BU storyline.

One of the best lines in bts songs in my opinion: "I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true". Love your reaction :) And how your editor said you should explore BU! It starts with "I need you" (You will have so much fun with it :D) but please listen to armies who know the correct order and DON'T forget about "Wings SHORT FILMS " and "Love yourself highlight Reels". Many reactors forget about that!!

There’s actually so much meaning behind this music video that to fully understand it, you would have to go back to the 2016 Wings album, where there are these mini films that explain why Jimin is surrounded by water, why Suga has fire around him (especially in a lot of the videos), why RM is looking at himself and he sees his reflection, why Jhope is laying in a pile of snickers, why V is surrounded by the phone, and why the one in his hand disappeared, etc. And you would also have to react to the "run" or "I need" music video because that's also part of the story line.
