You mean since 1991 with the later comics, in a fairly niche area of comics? Seems like one of those endless neo-fictions and relationships that came by the late-1980s. I dislike most of that. Some comics of this era are great, but most of the changes/additions are terrible compared to the 1940s through 1970s (though I do have mixed feelings about this period, as well -- it's just a bit more stable and classical). Some great changes to Superman were made later, though, and I like some of Alan Moore did. I also love the addition of Bane and some other details of Batman and DC in general when it comes to the dark heroes/anti-heroes. This mostly started with the likes of Wolverine in 1975 or whenever. I love the other darker elements of Marvel that came between about 1975 and 1986, such as The Punisher and Daredevil -- and I love those movies, too (unlike most comic fans, haha. I'm a sucker for superhero movies). So, it's not all bad at all post-1960s. Anyway, there's no way it's one of the most 'iconic couples'. Maybe to X-Men comic fans -- but very few humans even know that. I certainly never knew that. I always have mixed feelings about comic couples, but they often seem weird to me. They either do it purely for fan service or as a plot device to keep things going over the years, so it's always very unnatural and not great storytelling. Batman is one of the worst. Robin and Batman ended up having about 5 million kids and parents and God knows what else going on. It's all over the place. Not to mention, they literally killed Robin (Todd) because everybody hated him, and then they loved him after he died. What a mess. Comics are very weird (but, I am actually a massive Batman fan and most of my comics are Batman, haha). I've also always been a huge X-Men movies fan (at least, almost all of them), though I know they are generally disliked by most comic fans and many movie fans, as well. Not read enough X-Men comics to comment on that, but some of them seem great. I must be one of the few people to actually love this movie. I'm biased, that's for sure -- and it's not a great movie, I know that. I just love it and always have.

The Wolverine Origins video game is one of, if not the best movie tie-in game there is.

It’s literally only dead pool that is a low part for me. If it was the exact same character but a different name, far less people would be hating on it.

He actually just broke out of the comics and moved to LA to become an actor and play himself under the stage name Ryan Reynolds. Don’t tell anyone, it’s a secret.

The actual comics USED Ryan Reynolds as a mold for when The DEADPOOL creators had seen Ryan in the show "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" before that while they wrote him in a similar way he wasn't as he is after they seen Ryan on TV and were like "WOW this guys perfect for the part!" So when the movie in Wolverine came out he was the main choice for the role. He was a major fan of the comics also and so they cast him. This caused him to take a life long grudge against the people who messed up the role in the Wolverine movie.

This is because modern day deadpool is loosely based in Ryan Reynolds to the point its mentioned that he deadpool looks like Ryan in the comics and in his game deadpool says he’s upset that they couldn’t get Ryan to voice him

I don't know if that's been retconned in the comics, but originally, adamantium was simply a different metal from vibranium. Where vibranium absorbs vibrations, adamantium can cut through anything if given a sharpened edge. Cap's shield was made of a unique alloy of vibranium and adamantium which no one was able to ever duplicate. Vibranium was found only in Wakanda, and IIRC, adamantium was found only in the Savage Land in Antarctica.

Vibranium, however, is lighter, more durable, easier to wield or handle, and completely vibration absorbent. But also very strong, nearly unbreakable. Magneto is unable to control Vibranium, but he can control Adamantium Also, Adamantium can be only damaged/destroyed from extreme high temperatures

@anjan4878 Yeah, they have changed a few things in MCU. Like Spiderman doesn't have Harry Osborn as his best friend, MJ's real name wasn't "Mary Jane." And one cool thing in comics, Wanda and Quicksilver, were Magnetos children, but not in MCU. Mutants are just beginning to get introduced now

I´d love to get him recast for more Gambit in upcomming movies, I had a fangirl crush with that character since the 90s and I liked how he did it, too bad he just was in this one, because I would have loved to see him again. (in the solo movie they were going to get Channing Tatum but I actually loved Tayor´s way to do it)

I loved Friday Night Lights and when I saw his casting as Gambit I was stoked. I wished he could've been given more of a chance to play the character, I still really liked his portrayal. I might be remembering wrong, but I could've sworn I saw an early leaked version of the film where there was much more purple present in the effect of his kinetic energy abilities but idk it was a long time ago lol

I honestly wanted to see a full series of films with him. He wasn't the Gambit I fell in love with from the tv show but he played the character well enough.

It WASN'T actually Deadpool though, it was just a mutant with the same name and personality that ended up getting screwed over by Stryker and turned into Weapon 11. Therefore, the ball wasn't dropped in anyway.

Doesn't retcon the first film, Logan has no memories, but Victor does. Besides, really all that's established is they don't like each other in that film. Nothing about this changes that.

There`s also a deleted scene on the first X-Men Film DVD where Sabretooth looks at Logan`s dogtags with sadness before giving them to Magneto.

I've watched it a few times over the years and, whilst flawed, it's grown on me with each viewing. The Deadpool stuff was odd, but otherwise pretty solid, with just the right amount of X-Men cheese.

I didn't like how they portrayed him in those final scenes either, but for some reason I can't explain, I still seem to be able to enjoy the movie. I enjoy all the X-Men movies but at the same time, I really hate them. Not only Deadpool in this but I don't think they should have made Logan and Victor brothers. In one timeline (X-Men Forever), Victor is his father but that's the closest relation they ever had. I've read a good majority of X-Men comics and this movie took some things from Team X and used Wolverines actual backstory but replaced characters.

Honestly, I don't like the Deadpool movies and think that Reynolds was badly cast. So from that point of view, what they did in this movie was actually a good thing. 😅
