Some things worth mentioning: - In the books all of the schools ar coed with boys and girls - The number of the movies is the age of Harry Potter - starting at first book at eleven, and ending at 7th book at seventeen. So in this movie they are 14 - Neville's parents were tortured to insanity with cruciatus curse. They are in magical hospital for life, and Neville visits them with his grandmother. Harry and crew met him there when they were visiting Gilderoy Lockhart and there was a whole interaction scene with Neville and his parents - Cedric was not in the previous movies, but he was in previous books - he was a seeker and captain of Hufflepuff's quidditch team - Rita Skeeter was an animagus that can turn into a beetle - that's how she collected the gossip. Hermione caught her and blackmailed her to not report on Harry anymore, because Rita was an unregistered (illegal) animagus (btw just like Sirius, James and Peter) = means that ministry didn't know they can turn into animals, but should, so Rita could be in trouble if ministry found out - Hagrid is half giant - his dad was human, and mother was a giant - Krum was not an animagus, is was a temporary spell - Barty Crouch jr run out of Azkaban, because his mother decided to stay in his place

Call your whole crew Dumbledore was the one who showed up turning out lights as if he had a plan, McGonagall was just there, AND she expressed doubt about Harry going to the Dursley's but Dumbledore stayed firm, *AND* when she first turned out from a cat Dumbledore looked at her and said "I should have known you would be here" implying she didn't actually have anything to do with the plan to take Harry there at all but that she just turned up of her own accord to ask Dumbledore Don't you put that evil on my queen (yes, I'm just fuqqing around xp)

Ps. The host in the lake were not in danger. They were in enchanted sleep, checked on by merpeople and if left, picked up alive and kicking. It Was scary and eerie for the champions though, hence Harry bringing up the last hostage too, and Fleur being so relieved seeing her.

I do agree Cedric should have been in the movies more or atleast more in this movie to get me more emotionally invested but I have to say as soon as him dad crys out and says my boy I ball like a baby. Another great reaction by the way.

We only knew Cedric and Amos Diggory for a couple of hours, but that blood-curdling howl would make any parent put their head between their knees- it's too easy to imagine if it was your own kid...

Mcgonagall is the best adult tho hands down 😭 she cares the most about Harry and she never wanted to drop him off at the dursleys she showed up to try and convince dumbledore not to leave them there but she couldn’t. He’s the headmaster of the school and she wasn’t really in a position to go against him. Also he’s like the most powerful wizard in the world that she grew up knowing about so she had a certain respect for him and she trusted him to make the right decision. Her only mistake though was trusting dumbledore 😔

If you need the age of the main trio (and technically Draco) just add 10 to the book number. So 14 in this. The implication of the imperius curse is kind of important. Rita was on the worse side of what ravenclaw can be. Intelligent but morally bankrupt.

Your Potter reactions are my introduction to your channel and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm especially loving that you are possibly the only Potter reactor I've seen who shares my opinion of Dumbledore. I don't see him as evil because he's clearly against Voldemort but he's just one of those leaders who has come to believe he is infallible. He is a big picture kind of leader and doesn't even consider how his decisions effect individual people. Harry for example may have been very safe from Death Eaters growing up with his Aunt and her family but he could have surely been kept almost as safe somewhere else. The fact that the trade off for Harry's safety was growing up with people who hated him never entered Dumbledore's mind as important. Consider Harry's first year. While the traps that the trio had to overcome were challenging for an eleven year old they would be nothing for an adult wizard. Clearly they weren't even intended to hinder Voldemort but rather were a test of sorts for Harry and friends. Even individually the chess set was ideal for Ron, the flying keys for Harry, the logic puzzle for Hermoine and the deadly vines for Neville who in the books has an affinity for Herbology. In my opinion Dumbledore knew ahead of time what was happening and let it continue to see how it would play out. There are other reasons for my opinion that I can't share because they would be spoilers but suffice to say I consider Dumbles to be a Machiavellian manipulator of the worst sort......... all for your own good of course.

it is rumor that Hermione saying "things will change." was more of a good by to all the actors since most of the kids where going to high school after this and the fact that most of the actors contracts where up, but all the major characters agreed to continue. Allen Rickman (Snape) was not going anywhere. because of the secret that JK told him about the character arc of Severus Snape from the very start. he was the only one that had the heads up from JK about their character. but it was important that Allen Rickman know so he could pay his part knowing whats what.

Actually there is a reason they have to let him with the dursleys. In the movies is not explained, so this is not a spoiler. Not gonna go into much detail, but basically harry is protected by a very powerful magic since his mother died to protect him, and that protection can only continue if harry stays with his mothers family (his aunt, petunia). So, dumbledore and mcgonagall leave harry with them because, even if the dursleys are horrible, this magical protection keeps him save from voldemort. So thats the reason he has to live with them.
