Movie Summary:
All Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) has ever wanted is to be a professional hockey player. But he soon discovers he may actually have a talent for playing an entirely different sport: golf. When his grandmother (Frances Bay) learns she is about to lose her home, Happy joins a golf tournament to try and win enough money to buy it for her. With his powerful driving skills and foulmouthed attitude, Happy becomes an unlikely golf hero -- much to the chagrin of the well-mannered golf professionals.

There are two kinds of Adam Sandler movies, funny movies that start off funny and stay funny through the end. And then there’s the funny movies that start out funny, and then by the end of it, you’ve reevaluated your life and cried so hard that you dehydrated. This is my second favorite of the funny until the end category (Little Nicky stays number one for being my intro to Sandler). Between Carl Weathers, Ben Stiller, and Adam Sandler- you don’t a moment to breathe before you’re losing it again. Not to mention Christopher McDonald who always plays a great comedic villain. 😂

Got to checkout Adam Sandler in Hustle. His best performance of his career in this NBA dramedy. He also was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards for his performance in that film. I highly recommend it.

the difference between an alligator and a crocodile is its snout one has a longer an the other is shorter and as for Adam sandlers film hm theres alot there's wedding singer,eight crazy nights,little nikki,50 first dates,waterboy u have seen,pixels, thats my boy,just go with it,the do over,longest yard, um i now pronounce u chuck an larry is another great one i dont remember off the top of my head anymore rn

23:33 Crocodiles are usually bigger than alligators. You can tell the difference because the alligator has a rounded snout and a crocodile has a more pointed snout.. In this case though it’s an alligator..

Billy Madison will always be THE top par Adam Sandler movie for me. If you liked this one you'll enjoy Billy Madison. 😂 Fun Fact: Happy Madison Preductions was created by Adam Sandler so he could keep his friends and himself employed. That's why you see a lot of familiar faces in his movie's! ❤

Recently had a conversation with a coworker where him n his buddy argued if poker was a sport. I had the same years back about golf. I say it's a game and not a sport...unless it's done Gilmore style. Might be why we came up with full contact Chess as kids. Shoulder punch pawns n kickn bishops n such. Checkmate was a Waterboy style tackle from the winner.

If you love Ben Stiller, you HAVE to watch Heavyweights; that's about as much Ben Stiller per minute as you can possibly get in one picture. I think his folks are in it, too.

There's not many people who I see watch the movies I'm going to suggest right now but they are SO underrated. You should definitely watch The Beethoven Movies (at least from 1-5 and there's another one that's called Beethoven's Big Break or whatever that stars the little kid that plays rico from Hannah Montana. And the reason I suggest only 1-5 besides Beethoven's Big Break is because it's one of the only ones that deal with the same cast or in relation to). These are very good movies but hey be my guest and find out for yourself.

AirHeads is a good Sandler movie but you should check out bachelor party with Tom Hanks and porkys and the original House party and class act and Xanadu and that's my boy

Bob Barker signed on to do this movie when he found out he won’t the fight with Adam Sandler. When he found they wanted to use a stunt double for the fight his reaction was “I know how to fight”. He trained under Chuck & Aaron Norris doing Tang Soo Do. The fight scene originally was Happy hitting Barker then the scene cut away but they decided a full blown fight would be better. The viewership for the “The Price is Right” increased after Bob Barker did this role especially with college age kids. Sandler went on “The Price is Right” to promote the movie and during the Showcase Showdown they showed the clip of them fighting. They had Ed McMahon originally but he declined due to the crude humor and language. Lee Trevino (the guy that only line is “Grizzly Adams did have a beard) didn’t realize how crude the humor was until after filming and he wishes he didn’t do the film. 9:55 diet is worse for you cause they put aspartame in it that isn’t good for you. 18:42 what do you think he meant by it? Are you trying to make it a racial thing?

Unfortunately I have a hypersesitivity to artificial sweeteners. I get painful stomach cramps and headaches, which means I can't have any diet drinks... it wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't fat too. Also, PLEASE PLEASE WATCH ROCKY!!!!!!!

The "Hi, I'm Tom" thing is an easter egg referring to Ten-Second Tom from 50 First Dates, another Adam Sandler movie starring Drew Barrymore. It's a GREAT movie, if you haven't seen it, you definitely should give it a watch!

Not only Weathers, but Joe Flaherty (the "jackass" guy) also passed away recently, just last month. He's a recognizable character actor who's been all over 80s and 90s. You may recognize him as the Western Union guy who shows up to deliver Marty Mcfly the letter at the end of Back to The Future 2. And you probably know Bob Barker died in August. RIP Weathers, Flaherty, and Barker

So I'm a huge game show nerd. They approached Bob Barker to do the role, and said he'd be in a fight with Adam Sandler. It went like this. "Well who wins the fight?"" "You do." "I'LL DO IT!". Then he showed up to film, and they said "Don't worry we have a stunt double for you Bob." and he said "No way! If I'm doing this, I'm doing it for real!" He said once the movie came out, not a day went by (11 more years that he did TPiR) that someone in the audience didn't ask about Happy Gilmore. Random fun fact. The director of TPiR now is named Adam Sandler, no relation.

33:34 Golf Scoring is based on the normal amount of time you should hit your ball. For example If Hole #1 is a PAR 4, that means it normally should takes you 4 hits to get your ball to the hole. If you do it in in 4, you have a score of 0. If you do it in 5, you have a score of 1 because you are 1 hit above the normal. If you do it in 3, you have a score of -1 because you are 1 under the normal. So basically, in Golf, the lower your score is, the better it is. (That explains why it was so impressive when he did a hole in 1 on a PAR 4)

So you have seen little Nicki? The caddy in this movie is a close friend of Sandler. He plays the actor roommate in little Nicky and gained like 30 lbs for the role. The friend is in most of sandler's movies

Also, while Adam Sandler didn't appear in the movie, it was made by his "Happy Madison" company and starred more than a few people from both this, and Dodgeball...... "Grandma's Boy" is without a doubt my favorite comedy movie EVER. If you have watched that for the channel, please drop me a link to it. If not, please do so. You won't regret it.

My favorite Sandler flick, so far. Used to occasionally get to make a delivery to Mr. Weathers. REALLY nice guy! Even got a good chuckle or two out of him, especially after he was having some difficulty getting some papers back into the manilla envelope, he said, “It’s these linebacker’s hands.”, to which I replied, “At least you’re not still dealing with that wooden job!”, 😁 Definitely one of my favorite celebrity encounters. (& ya gotta love him in this flick!) Really gonna miss him. Carl Weathers R. I. P 😁😔😁 BTW… (Apologies if someone has mental this before me.) The “HEY! MISTAH! MISTAH!” woman was Anne Meara. Wife of, & the other half of, a terrific comedy duo, with husband Jerry Stiller. Together, they gave the world Ben Stiller! 😁 OH, & … R. I. P Joe Flaherty, as well! (You know… He’s “Donald the JACKASS heckler”, in this flick.) 😔 AND… R. I. P Bob Barker 😔

You might check out Adam Sandler's Uncut Gems - - it's not a comedy; it's a really wild ride; 120 minutes of tension and frustration - - exciting, though. Also, why have you not seen a Rocky movie? You are missing out on a legendary franchise, starting with the original Rocky (1976).
