Well TBF Mark is not blameless in this at all. I mean super hero work aside it was laughably obvious he wasn't cut out to commit to a relationship with her. Just his teenager hormones kept him from making the logical decisions to end it earlier. Besides its obvious he doesn't really have real chemistry with her anyway. It would have ended either way.

Add to that the fact that she already knew Mark was Invincible when she was deriding him in public last episode for apparently 'abandoning' them when the cyborg appeared. She apparently just decided to humiliate and punish him for something she knows is false.

I think what she got upset about is the fact that Mark would commit and promise to do something with her or be on time for something, even when he knew he had something else to do. So he would just lie to Amber afterwards about why he wasn’t there, when he should’ve never made the plans in the first place

People sympathize more with mark because of his situation but yeah he was just stringing her along. So no he is not blameless in this.

How many second chances did she give him during the months they were dating? in a high school level relationship it was a miracle it lasted as long as it did (in fact its almost unrealistic for her to forgive him that many times without him explaining the situation). The only time that can be argued is maybe their last fight, and again it is only a high school relationship, she has no obligation to forgive him or continue the relationship. Which again is a little shocking it lasted this long. And besides what was his endgame? He would tell her and just keep blowing her off and show up when he had time? No high school girl would tolerate that for very long. It was a doomed relationship from the start.

Ive already mentioned this in another comment, but the character of Amber is actually written quite differently in the comic. The reveal that she knows that Mark is Invicible is actually handeled much better too, she flat out accuses him and he comes clean, and he proceeds to explain everything and this builds trust between them.

Not everyone signs up for a relationship with the desire for the other person to constantly not be around them. If you were dating someone who constantly lied to you about why she cancelled plans, even if you found out it's because she was volunteering in third world countries or w/e, wouldn't you be upset? She has a right to feel this way. And I really need people to start understanding that civilian s/o's have feelings, especially when they're in high school.
