I saw this movie at the $1.50 movie theater with my brother & cousin. This movie went from a coming of age to a horror movie after Bishop killed the owner of the corner store. Raheem was in Love Jones, Girlfriends & Bones. Samuel L. Jackson didn’t become a household name until 1994 when he was in Pulp Fiction.

Samuel L. Jackson and Tupac Shakur is definitely a rare encounter to me.

Tupac was also supposed to play Jody in Baby Boy when u get around to that one. Another classic

I'm from the south side of Chicago and that scene where Q is talking to a guy who is about to rob a bar happened to me too, except I was at the library. I remember asking the guy, who robs a library? Do they even have any money? Menace 2 Society and Boyz in the Hood were the best of these black gangster movies.

I miss Tupac. He definitely would've made it big in Hollywood. And I never realized this is like a hood horror film lol. Bishop should be brought up in horror movie discussions.
