Welcome back! Great reaction again. I was the same as you the first time I watched this episode - I didn't care much about Sawyer. But after this episode I was intrigued to know more about him. No show does character development like this one.

First of all thanks for pausing when giving your thoughts about the story. Also this is my favorite show of all time because these characters are so layered. It was the first show I ever saw that didn't present the characters as here are the good guys and here are the bad guys. There is a lot of grey areas just like in real life. The first life lesson I learned from Lost was to try not to judge others to quickly.

Thanks! In the first few videos I didn't really pause and I felt like any time I wanted to made a longer point I had to step all over 30 or 40 seconds (at least) of dialogue. And then, when editing, I'd always be like "man I wish I'd have caught that in real time, but I was talking over it".

Welcome back! That's one the great things about this show, you know there is going to be a twist most of the time but rarely ever figure it out before it hits.

Good to see you back and feeling better. The idea that we might literally be seeing the original con (but with Sawyer himself in the place of the original Sawyer) had never even crossed my mind! Even though this wasn't the case, I really love how much thought you're putting into everything...it will serve you very well, later on (can't wait!). Thanks for the great reaction!

Thanks! It was one of those ideas that, as soon as it came out of my mouth, I was like "No that's probably not the case...it makes more sense that this is just him realizing that he's ruining this family in the EXACT way that his family was ruined"....but I try to not edit out any of my thoughts like that. Even when I realize I'm probably off base.

Love your reactions, my dude! I've watched Lost like 6 times already and it's always refreshing to see first time watchers fresh perspectives and commentary. Hope you're feeling better! Plus, a bit of trivia about when Claire says that she's the only Australian that loves peanut butter: the actress that plays her, Emilie de Ravin is deathly allergic to peanuts.

In episode 2, when he joins Kate and the others on a hike, Sawyer tells her "I'm a complex, sweetheart". Now you see why. LOST likes to show one side of the characters and then turn everything upside down. You are not at the end of your surprises.😊 Episodes 8, 9 10 and 11 are my favorite of season 1 (except for the finale).

ok, I'm caught up. Before I even watch this, that very front of the intro, lolol. I already know what you're talking about, so now, lets watch it. You did it again, lol. Ya know, that's kind of the mark of the good show though, right? To be fair, you've called some stuff right, Charlie throwing his drugs in the fire for one, but if you could call the whole thing right...it wouldn't be as fun to watch, would it?

haha...ya I've had some people basically say that they knew exactly what scene I was referring to before the video even played. In the future I think I'll probably be doing these "coming up" sneak peaks at the beginning more often.

@@OldBeardedGuyReacts... Sawyer is one of my favorite characters in the show. He told us himself ya know, when he said to Kate... 'I'm a complex guy sweetheart'. lol.
