The scene where Hal flies Roxy around the city thinking he's being romantic is supposed to be a parallel to that famous scene in Superman where he does the same thing with Lois Lane.

In the beginning, when Megamind is ordering the laser to fire, if you pay really close attention, you see Metroman blip out for a second and show up behind Megamind, as foreshadowing for later when he's retelling the story about using his super speed to clear his head.

It's funny, Welcome to the Jungle was a joke by the directors. The song is notoriously expensive to license for a movie and since Megamind is technically a villain, they thought "wouldn't it be funny if Megamind pirated Welcome to the Jungle for his grand entrance illegally?" :D

The colors Roxanne wears throughout the movie symbolize her alignment with Megamind. Roxanne starts out the movie wearing red, the opposite of blue because she's part of Megamind's regular plans to foil Metro Man, and she's obviously against his ideals. At her date with "Bernard" before she realizes she's been dating Megamind the whole time, she's wearing purple, the color in-between red and blue because it's a mixture of both, since she's falling for his personality without realizing it's him, but he hasn't fully become a "good guy" yet, and is behaving better for her and hasn't realized he enjoys it just for the heck of it yet either. In the final scene where everyone's dancing to Michael Jackson's "Bad," she's wearing blue because their views are finally aligned and he's become the good guy she trusts.

Most underrates animated movie EVER!! I loved it so much!! But like Titan was repping incels before incels were a thing. Even was I was young watching this, Titan creeped me out lol. Haha and Seb going 'Please tell me people like this don't exist'. It is scary how real people like titan are. There are incels that have committed crimes because they can't get a girl. The reason Metroman became Musicman is precisely because he is not good, he likes playing music and it`s one of the few things were his superpowers won`t actually help him so he can actually work on it to improve like a normal person.

Mega Mind may have been training Hal to be a hero as "Titan," but who Hal became with superpowers was just an amplified version of who he really was: a bad guy with Nice Guy Syndrome (T) and a self-entitled mindset. He only used his powers to serve himself.

9:57 I know we just SAW Megamind turn into Bernard, but if it wasn't obvious, you can tell it's a copy and not the real person if the eye color has changed. Bernard has brown eyes, but when Megamind disguises himself as Bernard, he keeps his own green eyes. The only exception is at the end when Minion disguises himself as Megamind and gains the green eyes instead of keeping his brown ones. I think it's because Megamind spends so much time with Minion that his machine could copy that trait and overlay it well enough that it hid the wearer's original eye color. (Hiding Minion's eyes so they'd look like his own.) But even before the reveal that Megamind has disguised himself as Markiplier- I mean, Metro Man, it's clear the eyes are green instead of blue/grey.

Only after watching this reaction after 2 years I realized how similar Evelyn Deavor from Incredibles 2 is to this reporter lady, Roxanne Ritchi

I decided to watch this movie today because it has a lot of memes but I really loved it! And I love the callback to Ironman when Megamind walks around the city in his new suit😂 BTW, he’s really out here holding the entire universe in his eyes man

Plenty of people don't realize that Roxanne was right all along when she says "Heroes aren't born, they're made." What she meant was that heroes develop themselves through virtue and morality, and doing what's right, not necessarily needing superpowers. Megamind took it literally and tried to infuse superpowers into a person. But all those powers did was amplify who that person already was on the inside. In this case, it made Hal, who was already an insecure man-child with Nice Guy Syndrome ™️, into an evil, insecure, egotistical maniac with Nice Guy Syndrome ™️. He thought he deserved Roxanne when she obviously had no interest in him, and he'd act predatory to her, saying creepy things, (the party with a gallon of dip, a wedding photographer, bouncy house, was just "him and her," and he said he'd watch her "the way a dingo watches a human baby,") and even gaslighting her ("I'm her partner, she doesn't know what she's saying. She's been through a traumatic experience." Talking to Roxanne after the previous quote: "See yeah, that's funny cause you accidentally hugged him [Megamind as "Bernard"] instead of me.") Metro Man stopped being a superhero because he realized he was born with powers that made him desirable. He was born "perfect" and had a "perfect" life. He did good things, but only for attention and admiration; it didn't make him truly happy. He was in the state Megamind was in once he "defeated" Metro Man. He was cocky and flirtatious since he was a baby, winking and flexing at literally EVERY woman he met. He stopped doing all that once he gave up being a superhero. Dropping the cape was his way of discovering his purpose, like how Megamind put a cape on someone so he could keep being the villain since he thought that was his own purpose. When Megamind had to step up and be a hero because Metro Man stepped down, he didn't develop any powers or new technology to one-up Hal. He simply became a stronger version of who he already was on the inside: a kind, compassionate, and courageous person who just wanted people to accept him instead of shunning him for his quirkiness and strange inventions/machines. He knew what it felt like to be bullied and he didn't want others to feel that way. Even Metro Man beating him up was a way of being "accepted" by society because he fit their idea of a bad guy. He wasn't bad, though, just different. Unlike Metro Man, he had to work hard to develop his skills and reputation because he made machines instead of having powers like Metro Man. People were so ready to accept and love Metro Man as a hero because he looked like the perfect fit for that role while Megamind didn't. But they BOTH were literal aliens, from other planets, who arrived to earth on the same day. One just happened to look like a normal human baby, but with superpowers, and the other one was blue with a large head and was a super-genius since infancy. Because he'd been hurt like this his whole life, Megamind didn't want others to hurt either. Even in all his villainy, he didn't hurt anyone. He mostly pulled pranks to see what he could get away with for attention/notoriety. His back-and-forth with Metro Man was just a game to him, a way of life. And in a way, Megamind's plan worked: he made a hero to defeat the villain. Except he turned out to be the hero once he became the best/true version of himself; and Hal was already bad, he just got worse and more unstoppable with the powers he was given. Once Megamind took those powers away from him, and with no more Metro Man, he became the city's superhero.

If you pay attention you'll otice that the whenever Megamind turn into another person, his eyes keep the same green color, same goes for Minion's brown eye color even as Metroman. That's how you can differenciate them.

Yup, one amazing movie. You can actually see the moment Metroman leaves the place at super speed before getting apparently blown to death, as the screen showing Megamind has a white blur on the left side for a split second and you can see Metroman in the left screen turn almost invisible at the same time. You didn't keep that part in the reaction so I can't point to a time stamp, but it's a few frames after this part 6:41, because it happens right after Metroman finishes doing his eyeroll. If anyone wants to see it just search idk "metroman dies scene" in KZfaq, it's noticeable even at regular speed.

16:30 The Black Mamba cape is absolutely stunning! I was so sad to see it destroyed! On the other hand, black mamba snakes are NOT black on the outside, it's the inside of their mouth that they're a dark inky black. But usually by the time you see the inside of the mouth, it's because you've been bitten by the highly venomous snake and will probably die if you don't get immediate medical treatment.
