Slight correction the fist generation of storm troopers were clones, but clones had stopped being produced after the clone wars so they had to enlist civilians to become stormtroopers to replace the ones that were falling in battle. so yes the ones from the original trilogy are regular people, but there were clone stormtroopers.

Some fun facts about Christopher Lee (the actor for Count Dooku): • Was in the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (British special forces) during WW2 and tracked down Nazis • Was both the original Dracula and Saruman in LOTR (also instructed the director of LOTR movie what sound a person makes when they’re stabbed in the back) • Spoke like 10 languages fluently • Was the cousin of Ian Flemming and thus basis for James Bond • Descendent of Charlemagne • Met JRR Tolkien in person • He was a personal friend of Peter Cushing (who played Grand Moff Tarkin in Episode IV) • And finally: created and sang in a heavy metal album

I think the problem was that the Clone Wars were supposed to last for years and when Episode 3 came out, it didn't really feel like it. Plus the Clone Wars show fleshes out the Anakin/Obi-Wan relationship a ton to the point where they feel less than former Master/Apprentice and more genuine friends which in extension makes Episode 3 hit harder.

Essentially, the reason why only two sith exist is because of a Sith code known as the Rule of Two. The rule states that the only two sith that should exist are the master and the apprentice. When the training is completed, the apprentice is supposed to slay their master to become the new one. It’s to ensure that the Sith are always more powerful with each passing generation.
@TheHunterkiller96
@TheHunterkiller96 Ай бұрын
The main reason for the rule of two was because Sith are always backstabbing each other. If there are only two of them, then theoretically the stronger one will prevail, rather then the weaker ones working together to kill the strongest.

The Sith are all about greed and a lust for power. So inevitably, the Sith even turn on each other because they can't stand any other Sith being more powerful than them. I believe there were even wars between the Sith within the Star Wars lore, and the population of the Sith sharply declined as a result. They were also in constant conflict with the Jedi, which also impacted their numbers. It's hard to survive when you're constantly being threatened by both friends and enemies. So the Rule of Two was created to make sure that the ways of the Sith would survive. With only two Sith in existence at any time, it allowed them to fly under the radar and avoid detection by the Jedi, and also made it less likely for them to betray each other as the only Sith master and apprentice who are essential to keeping the Sith going. But even then, they do turn on each other eventually, as the apprentice inevitably usurps their master to become the master themselves, and the master is always looking for the strongest apprentice.

Im telling you, you guys will love the clone wars it gives so much more added weight to episode three and some of the later shows. Also I'm sure a few people have left comments already describing this but the rule of two was created for the same reason that Ruff said, less in fighting and to give the Jedi a false sense of security. It allowed the Sith to pull strings in the shadows for a thousand years before Anakin's fall to the dark side.

Ho boy is that a wrong assumption if there ever was), then awesome, then awesomer, then heartbreaking.

To clarify the Force. The Dark Side has no relation to Balance. It is a perversion. Think of it like a medicine that you can modify slightly to become a drug that gives you a rush of the FEELING of power. I don't blame you guys for the misconception as it isn't spelled out. On the same Topic. Yes, force users have the ability to hide their presence, but additionally the Prequel Era Jedi have become more dogmatic and arrogant and as such their connection to the Living Force(don't ask) has become more cloudy.

Before and even after the decanonization of some Star Wars Content by Disney, there's content that imply that Balance is "no Dark side", and some content that imply that's there's the Force, with a Light and a Dark side. For exemple, in the Kotor and Swtor games, (no longer canon, ) it was the case. You have the concept of the Grey Jedis, force users who uses both "light" and "dark" abilities of the force, in order to achieve balance, who's still very popular to the heart of many fans. More than misconception, many peoples just prefer the idea of a less manichean/simple view of the Force, especialy when it came from media that was, ans sometimes still is, very popular. And with the fact that those ideas, games, comics, were, before Disney, validated by George Lucas, even though he didn't like it/correspond to his visions, gave credit to this interpratation. I personally, prefer this view of the Force, it leads to more interesting concepts and stories.

It's also because Episode II was Anakin at his worst, he's going through nightmares about his mother, he's been dealing with Obi-Wan's very by the code and critical training, he's an outside in the Jedi, he gets reintroduced back to one of the only people he's every deeply connected with and has feelings for... he's in a maelstrom of emotions and not trained on how to deal with them beyond 'don't have them'. Up until he meets Padme the interaction he and Obi-Wan have is pleasant and harmless ribbing, both are laughing. It's after when Anakin is with Padme that he starts venting all the built of resentment and arrogance. Episode II is all about showing Anakin's faults and laying the ground work for why he falls. Hayden doesn't have a lot of room to make Anakin really likeable when that is the main theme of it. And Lucas's dialogue and direction make it harder. When your director is telling you 'no be more wooden' and everyone says your bad for acting wooden... what can you do?

If you were born on May 4, 1999; The Phantom Menace events could have happened in March 2009, but Anakin is 9 because he hasn't had his 10th birthday yet, but the Attack of the Clones events could have happened in May 2019, right after Anakin turned 20. In the Phantom Menace novel, a Jedi can see ahead that they can anticipate laser bolts and light sabre blows to block them. A Sith uses the Dark Side to neutralize that Jedi ability, block their senses. Siths are trained to kill Jedi who have to rely on their skill in sword fighting without the Force assisting them. As Yoda said, a shroud has fallen that they just don’t sense the presence of a Sith, they can’t even see the future. I break down and cry everytime I hear Anakin say, “I hate them!” My sister walked out of the theater the moment Anakin’s mom died. She turned her back on Star Wars for good.

I mean it's emotional, but what's the context for abandoning the franchise? If I abandoned every franchise that made me experience emotions and shed tears I'd not have a lot of things to enjoy. I'll admit the sequels could have been better but Revenge of the Sith might be one of the most melancholic bittersweet films of all time. It's a film that can't ever have a good ending because it's a tragedy a perfect one to set up the original Trilogy. AoTC is a good film too. He became upset with the rules of the order, and left after finishing Qui-Gon jinn's training, and left the order peacefully. Only after he left the order did he join the dark side. So yes, "sith" by both teaching and practice, are in essence dark jedi, or jedi that turned to the dark side. Though, they would never admit it, as they generaly looked down on jedi that turned, as not completly on the path of the dark side, and only the ones that where trained in the dark side from the start, where "true" sith. But they are still all technically following the legacy of the dark jedi that where exiled from Tython in the first jedi war

Yes. It is true that the real reason why he had a purple saber is because Jackson wanted a purple lightsaber. However, the reason if someone has a purple lightsaber in the Star Wars universe is because they are able to use the dark side of the force to their advantage while still being a user who is mostly light sided. Mace was one of the only guys who could to this because this is extremely hard to do due to the temptation of the dark side. And they could become corrupted. Which is why rarely anyone has purple sabers.

The reason the jedi can detect jedi but not sith is because each is consciously capable of hiding their presence in the force from the other side. The sith lord is intentionally hiding his force sensitivity from everyone around him, so the jedi cannot detect him. You are correct that jedi are not as prone to hiding themselves because they want to know each other. As for what makes a sith, not all sith are former jedi. Some sith are raised as sith or become such through other means. It really is just a matter of moral alignment.

In reference to the little discusion in the beginning about there is only two. It was because a long long time ago there actually were dozens maybe even hundreds of Sith. But all of them were so power-hungry and wanted control that there was near-constant infighting. To the point where one sith, Darth Bane, was worried that the sith would become extinct. So he took one apprentice, and the two went through and culled all of them until it was just them remaining. Then he instituted the Rule of Two. From then on it was always one master who had all the knowledge. And one apprentice who was trying to get the knowledge so that they could be the new master. Because if this they actually grew much stronger through their new focus on growing rather than taking control.

They come in pairs due to the Rule of Two. What purpose does it serve? The Rule of Two is a decree established by Sith Lord Darth Bane, which states that there should be only two Sith at any given time: a Master and an Apprentice. This rule was created to ensure the survival of the Sith Order by preventing infighting and internal conflicts that would weaken the organization. Why is it there? The Rule of Two was created to address the Sith’s tendency to destroy each other in their quest for power and control. Darth Bane, who survived the destruction of the ancient Sith Order, recognized that this pattern of behavior would ultimately lead to the downfall of the Sith. By limiting the number of Sith to only two, the Rule of Two aimed to prevent the kind of infighting and power struggles that had previously weakened the Order. The Rule of Two also served as a way to concentrate power and focus the Sith’s efforts on a single goal: to overthrow the Jedi Order and rule the galaxy. With only two Sith, the Master and Apprentice could work together to achieve their goals, rather than being distracted by internal conflicts. In addition, the Rule of Two allowed the Sith to maintain a sense of unity and cohesion, as the Master and Apprentice would be bound together by their shared goal of achieving power and control. This unity would make it easier for the Sith to present a united front against their enemies, including the Jedi. Overall, the Rule of Two was a deliberate attempt by Darth Bane to create a more efficient and effective Sith Order, one that would be better equipped to achieve its goals and survive in a galaxy dominated by the Jedi. If you want more go to Wookieepedia: The Rule of Two

The Rule of Two came to existence thanks to Darth Bane after the Sith Empire at the time got completely decimated by both the Sith and Jedi. Basically until then the Sith would form large organizations to take over the Galaxy, with a Main Sith Lord running it. Being Sith, the most common way to get a promotion was to kill your boss, and the best way to keep your job was to kill your overly prospective staff members. Obviously this does not lead to a long term functioning organization, and between Jedi attacks and infighting, the Sith got destroyed. So Bane looked at this and realized this basically happens *every single time* a Sith Empire forms and was like “ok something has got to change.” So he basically killed all his rivals that managed to survive the war and took on an apprentice. The idea being with just 2 Sith, you’re not going to have that constant infighting. Sure your apprentice is probably gonna come kill you, but with only two of you around that’s not going to be happening every Tuesday. Plus with only two people, that makes it stupidly easy for you to hide. And Darth Bane was right, that sentiment worked pretty successfully for thousands of years.

The red lightsabers for the Sith are explained in Knights of the Old Republic. I'm forgetting a couple details, but here's the summary. Lightsabers are powered by unique crystals in their hilts, and there is a giant insect species that eats those very same crystals. The eggs of these insects are each laid along with a small piece of crystal to eat when they hatch. If one destroys the egg, thus killing the young, that crystal turns red. Sith lightsabers are literally fueled by infanticide.

Several fun facts for ya: Sam Jackson's sabre prop, in addition to being purple, apparently has motherf*cker written on the handle due to a clause in Sam's acting contract where he _must_ always have something or say something with that word. Another Windu fact is that he, in much the same vein as Dooku but at different times, was Yoda's padawan. Oddly, both Dooku and Windu have history of struggling with the dark side; Dooku, later in life, and Windu when he was much younger. Also, of Jedi titles, Yoda is the grandmaster but Windu is the Master of the Order. The actor who plays C3PO was quite mad at being replaced by a CGI model because of his belief that his body language is more believable as a robot. Bonus fact: he is the only actor who voices his character in every single piece of media from movies, shows, and games (at least as far as I know). Dooku's turn to the dark side sadly came from news of Qui-gon's death thus showing that he deeply cared about someone else despite his often cold demeanor. Dooku is also the only Sith to never have yellow eyes; his remain blue throughout. Jango's backstory, or at least his original one prior to Disney's fanfic retcons, had him part of a Mandalorian sec that was entirely killed by a group of Jedi. Jango proceeded to beat all of them to death by himself and barehanded. The resulting aftermath was found by a younger Dooku which is why the former Jedi chose Jango to be the source of the Clone Army. Dooku is played by Sir Christopher Lee whose life is quite possibly more fantastical at times than most of fiction. Lee was a WWII spy, his cousin based the James Bond series loosely off of his life, he actually knew a decent bit about swordplay, he met the Russian Queen and had her help when he portrayed Rasputin, he played several horror characters including Dracula and Frankenstein's monster, he was Saruman the White in Lord of the Rings and the only actor on said set who had met and had lunch with JRR Tolkein, he lectured Peter Jackson on what a man stabbed in the back sounds like, he can trace his lineage back to King Charlemagne, and, my personal favorite, he loved Symphonic Metal of which he had made at least two albums of which you must listen to - they rock! I have more fun facts for Episode III, can't wait!

11:05 Space New Zealand actually. Also Idk if this is right since I'm not Ace, but Jango gives me Ace vibes, like why else would you find such a roundabout way to procreate?

Fun fact about dooku. He has a curved hilt because he practiced lightsaber form 2 which is specifically design for lightsaber dueling, and the curve hilt gives him a slight edge when dueling other jedi. Most consider dooku to be the best lightsaber duelist of his time and top 5 of all time.

Technically, Jedi can have sex. They just can’t fall in love.

The thing about a lot of Padme’s early interactions with Anakin is she’s actively trying to put distance between them because she’s into him. The line about him looking at her? Yeah it made her feel a certain way which in turn made her uncomfortable because she knows she shouldn’t have those feelings for him

Fun fact: the Jedi screwed themselves over because the precursors to this Jedi Order built the temple over the remains of an old sith temple in an attempt to contain "the darkness" that permeated the facility, but actually ended up corrupting the jedi a little bit so they couldn't sense the sith's dealings

A thing to remember as well. In Phantom Menace they measure Anakin's blood for midichlorians. It is revealed iirc in that movie but also the CW that these tests are done throughout the republic and the majority are taking as babies by the order. It's why they said he was too old to be trained. He had attachments that would've been prevented had they picked him up as a baby. In the books (plageus mainly)its said the ones the jedi don't take are kind of not worth the effort anyways and the Sith spend their time trying to find the exceptional ones the Jedi missed. Extra Note: the sith do have a power to conceal themselves from the force. So to the jedi through the force Palpatine appears like an ordinary person , meanwhile in the OG trilogy the Sith no longer have any reason to stay hidden. The Jedi are all but gone why cover up when there is no one looking?

I still have this movie on VHS and it has this part right before the movie starts where C-3P0 and R2-D2 will come on screen and give the audience a small recap of the story and it's really funny.

There is the dark side and the light. It's real easy to spot things in the light, but it's difficult to see things in the dark. It's hard for jedi to hide their presence, their thoughts, it's very easy for those with the dark side to hide their intentions from other force users. That's why sith have to be really observant of their masters/apprentices because it's hard to tell when they are about to backstab each other.
