Look I understand the idea of "having a child to save marriage" is a big no no in western culture and slowly asian is shifting to that too but not long ago it was actually considered to be something that worked in a marriage. Asian parents tend to live and work for their children and then when they get old the children take care of them. Asian parents sacrifice their "personal" lives once they have kids and then everything becomes for the child and it's future. It is a strange family dynamic and once you understand that you'll grasp the scene in the movie.

These two are considered one of the finest actors in Cinema. Unfortunately, the hero Irfan Khan passed away due to a rare cancer. The other guy Nawazuddin Siddiqui generally plays the role of a psychopathic killer! That shows you misacting chops!
