tbf for someone who has never watched movies and is now catching up on the whole decade or two of famous films within like a year. It makes sense that forming your opinions within a short time is irrelevant cause all these fight scenes and stories are one after another keeping the viewer entertained and condenses the time of watching so that you wouldn't really care about others opinions and about how you'd want the movie to be...(I think?)

I mean it's good, i enjoyed it, and the reason why i don't hate it and don't want the movie to burn is because i have a mindset of removing almost every knowledge i have from that franchise or something and that is why i enjoy it or most movies. Its bad enough my head hurts from stress because games like toxic players, lag etc. And i don't want to have stress in movies like my games

The movie was never bad. It broke the theme continuity of the character. It's a beautiful, fun movie. People's main issue with it is that it wastes the potential of Gorr. Gorr is a universal threat that takes future God thor and current thor and a lot of other heroes to defeat. He's a massive villain that should have been a trilogy at best. But Bale did amazing with what he had for the character.

If they do a movie with Love they need to not make her OP IMO or have problems with controlling her power IMO. At this moment she is a literally and figuratively a child that needs to grow into it. Just suddenly handing her OP power is lame. The original Thor he had great power but hadn't grown into it so they were stripped from him making him grow back into it. Probably best to do a non Thor movie with Love as the MC to do this because it will upset the fans IMO. Audiences don't watch Batman to watch Robin, Black Widow to watch Hawkeye or vice versa. If it is a Thor movie it needs to be a Thor movie with supporting characters.

Not gonna knock you at all for this because Gorr's comic run is what finally made me a Thor fan again; 80s kid, grew up on comics before the MCU, all that....my "favorite" Thor is actually Donald Blake. Until the Gorr run. Those of us who "know" Gorr know how epic his run is; but this is the MCU....their focus is on the heroes and the heroes coming out on top (because Disney is in control). Keeping that in mind, this is a Thor movie; Thor can't lose (Disney), hence when Gorr lost they (Disney) made cutesie wootsie warm squishy and wholesome with Gorr's daughter and the ending. This Gorr is the best we'll EVER get in live action while Disney is in control, it is what it is, and taking all that in.......Disney did a damn good job Disney-fying Gorr. Also, Gorr's story is a relatively new comic; usually (since Disney got involved in Marvel) the comics are written to reflect what's going on the MCU. THIS time, Disney piggybacked off the comics to try and make money because Thor comics have been mediocre for decades until Gorr.........and they did great, all things considered.

I'm not shooting you down but I'll raise you one: Gorr would've been much better if he opened up a new Thor trilogy........imagine it. We're already starting off with Asguardians in space, Thor has Stormbreaker already, we meet a weak but worthy Beta Ray Bill amongst the cosmos. Something's brewing (Gorr's MCU intro) could be the end of Love & Thunder 1, with This missing Jane and closing out with us seeing her in the hospital... 2 opens up with us learning Jane's predicament, finding Mjolnir just like we see. We know that Stormbreaker is temperamental, so this movie it shrugs Thor off completely because it's "tired" of Thor just going around and creating war stories, and finds the meek yet worthy Beta Ray Bill; Gorr's the big bad of this trilogy so he's killed Beta Ray's gods and moved on before Stormbreaker finds him. Mjolnir is still on Earth, Thor no longer has Stormbreaker, so he heads to Earth to get Mjolnir and see Jane only to find out she's Mighty Thor. We get to see Gorr do more butchering until this pops up on his radar. Gorr's looking for Asgard, but the 2nd movie ends with him realizing he's on the wrong Asgard (he comes to Earth), so he takes the children to lure out Thor... 3rd movie has Beta Ray beefed up thanks to Stormbreaker. He's protecting another planet and before he's killed, everything pulls back (Gorr made it to Earth, didn't find Thor but still took the children and dipped to lure him out). Stormbreaker takes Beta Ray to Thor who's just linked with Mighty Thor and Valkyrie. They all go to Omnipotence City, Thor sees what Beta Ray can do with Stormbreaker....he takes Zeus' lightning bolt (as they do in the movie). Movie progresses with Jane dying in the final battle against Gorr and goes to Valhalla while it's Thor and Beta Ray Bill talking to Gorr at Eternity, with Beta Ray (a mortal) winning over Gorr's trust in gods, not Thor. We missed out on an MCU fleshed out THAT for Gorr; he's not a "one and done"/"villain of the week" character. Please believe I get what you said fam 👌🏾 But the fact that the demographics of non-comics fans supporting the MCU vs us readers.....yeah, lol. They did great all things considered. When Gorr was set in stone, I just KNEW Thor was finna have 2-3 more movies. Especially when he's shown that he'll leave during Age of Ultron, or Ragnarok to go handle some outside/personal shit; him joining the GotG and knowing Gorr was up next to bat had me geeked up for Thor....and we got this rushed wholesome story. I swear I get it 😂😂😮‍💨

I like funny Thor but this movie personally felt very childish and the villain's defeat very underwhelming, imo

whereas ragnorak did really well because it had a good balance of comedy and action yet love and thunder felt like the director was just trying to make the whole movie comedic, ig it worked out for younger audiences but ragnorak was a whole lot better in my opinion

@@jettstreamyt8177 Odin enchanted Mjolnir to give people Thor's power in the first movie. That's why Captain America could use Thor's power in Endgame, so there's no reason Thor should figure Jane's case is any different, unless he had some business with Steve on the side and asked Mjolnir to give him powers offscreen, I guess.

I liked the introduction of all these characters but if they added more scenes of Gorr butchering Gods it would have been better, Jane imo was the best character here, loved her story and how she was jokingly trying to cope with the fact that she had Stage 4 cancer, that's the trait of a good character

I heard in the comics, she's allowed to become Thor because she knows that if she becomes a God of Thunder, it will greatly reduce her body's ability to fight the cancer, but she becomes one anyway because she's so passionate about fighting for good.
