I have played every sport during my life time and I can say. Golf is by far the hardest game to play and be any good at.

This is the 2008 US Open. He played with a spiral fracture I'm his knee and a torn ACL.

What most people forget is on this tournament, he did all that with a broken leg!

You need to read his autobiography, Tiger was trained from very young to be a winner, similar to the Williams sisters, when he finally arrived on tour as a kid, Pros scoffed at what he might do, laughed at him, he was a stone cold killer and striped their ass from day 1

Much respect that you younger kids show an interest in this sport. I'm a lite older now (born in in 1970s), so I've gotten to play a plethora of sports, some strange, others contemporary, etc., etc. Let me tell you that Golf is very likely the hardest sport that I've played. Even if you play great, you go out tomorrow and it is 115° outside and the holes are moved. Golf is fkn hard.... if you want to be good it anyway. Darts is also difficult to get proficient in it as well. I played football and basketball throughout school,and neither of those two sports were harder than Golf and darts... for sure!

I’ve played baseball my entire life, I loved all sports but hated golf, my freshman year was when Covid hit and the only thing we could leave the house to do was golf I had never been but went with my dad and brother who was playing college baseball at the time, after that day I fell in love with the game and went on to make regionals my sophomore year and this being my senior year I’m praying for state, golf is the hardest mental and technical thing I’ve ever done but there is nothing greater than the one good shot you hit on a bad day that makes you come back to the course the next day.

I know all these dudes are athletes. Any athlete loves golf once they hit a certain age because it let's them use their athleticism in a way that doesn't break their bodies quite as much as their respective sports, while also stimulating their mind. As a life long golfer I really like seeing their excitement, and I highly recommend you try it out!

Makes me tear up watching him man, he’s what got me into golf at a young age. Hopefully we get to see him play at this level again, but after his accident I’m not sure. I love Tiger Woods.

The video of him & his son split screen, they are twins with how they play. Same stroke, facial expressions, reactions and mannerisms. That would be a dope reaction.

Love that you guys are watching Tiger. Unfortunately I haven't seen any highlight videos out there that come close to capturing how much of a freak he was (easily same level as Michael Jordan). Without a golf background it would be hard to understand but this video is the equivalent of an MJ highlight reel that only shows free throws. Example...Tiger has lots of hole in one's and crazy Masters shots (Chip on on the 16th) but none of those are on here. Keep looking!

Watching Tiger in his Prime, in or near the lead on Sundays, was like this all the time.

If you want to find out just how good Tiger was, that shot they showed at 4:24 timestamp of your video was done at dusk with almost no light (the camera is more sensitive than the human eye, so it looks much brighter) and he was playing with a broken bone in his leg. You see him wince after he made the shot. He played the entire final round on that leg and won the tournament. Tiger is, was and always will be The GOAT!!

Most of this was the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. The remarkable thing about this was, let me switch to all caps here, HE PLAYED ON A BROKEN LEG!!!!!!!!! It was Tiger's so-called one-legged major, played on two stress fractures and a torn ACL in his left knee. Even the Monday playoff (normally 18 holes) required an extra, sudden-death hole before Tiger could put away the boisterous and ever-smiling Rocco Mediate, who was trying to become the oldest U.S. Open champion. But Tiger won... again... because that is what Tiger did more than any other golfer in history.

I don't know a lot about golf but I know that they rate golf courses from easy to difficult. Many have slopes, larger areas of water, sand, etc... I love to watch the "Masters" every year show casing the best.

TW started the tournament in 2010 one the hardest 7mi walks in golf at Torrey Pines for 5 days in a playoff swinging and walking on a broken leg.

The most impressive thing about all his insane shots at the 2008 US Open is he won that tournament on a broken leg, in a playoff. I've never seen anything like it before or since.

My parents used to watch a ton of golf, (so I had to) and Tiger was such a phenomenon not only because he was so damn good, but he got the crowds hyped up when that was not normally a thing back then at all. Everyone was being all quiet and doing the "golf clap" lol A golf primer: Every hole has a par, which is how many hits it should take to finish. The shortest is par 3 and longest is par 5 (they always count 2 for putting on the green). So a hole with a par 3, you're supposed to be able to hit the green in your first shot and then putt twice for par. Longer holes, you have to hit long hits twice or 3 times before getting to the putting green where the hole is. 1 under par is called a birdie. 2 under par is an eagle. A double eagle is 3 under par or usually a hole in one and nearly impossible. Tiger was a BEAST and super fun to watch :)

Best shot I ever seen was Tiger Woods chip in at the masters on the 16th hole in 2005….that was the perfect shot with the Ball spinning one last turn revealing the Nike logo before falling in the hole, and the ridiculous angle he took to get it in…. Tiger in my opinion is the goat of golf. Understand that they “Tiger Proofed” all the PGA courses during his career and Tiger still found ways to win major tournaments by changing his golf swings to adjust to how the courses were changed to “equalize” the sport. He changed the sport of golf similar to how Wilt Chamberlain changed the rules of Basketball.

You guys should watch when he plays in the father-son tournament. I think it was last year. You’ll be blown away on how he plays and acts like his dad!

These clips weren’t even some of the better Tiger highlights lol, believe it or not, that’s a rabbit hole you could absolutely get lost in. From 1997 up until this very day, any tourney that had Tiger in it was absolute must-watch TV! Had the honor of seeing him 3 times in person, once when he birdied #13 at TPC Las Colinas, and I’m not sure I’ve ever been more pumped at a sporting event myself aside from that moment. He just brought that kind of palpable energy with him wherever he went.

The man single-handedly demolished the record books in his prime while also ushering in a period of time where golf courses all around the world were 'tiger-proofing' their courses...aka making them longer because in his prime, he was unmatched in distance AND accuracy. In the year 2000, he finished in the top 5 in 17 of the 20 tournaments he entered, winning 9 of those 20. The tournaments typically feature 100- 150 golfers and he was playing an entirely different sport than anyone else on the planet when he was in his prime. Even his haters were in awe of watching him demolish the field week in and week out.

I started playing golf at the end of middle school in 1990 or '91, and although I loved the game early on it was freaking WHITE BREAD as far as the professionals at that time. Fred Couples was probably the hottest personality at that time, which isn't saying much lol. But I found myself totally enraptured by Tiger's US Amateur run on ESPN back in 1995 when he was only a year and a half older than me, then took the professional tour by storm shortly thereafter. It was similar to LeBron when ESPN showed his high school games in the beginning of the 2000s and everyone just knew he was going to go hard in the NBA soon thereafter.

That's why he's the best. Nike actually stuck by him through his scandal. They made an ad with Tigers face and his dad who past away doing the voice over

I grew up in the south south lol me and my ole man never got along hardly.. till tiger woods .. my dad was an old military vet whent into the military when he was 15 .. we didnt have alot in common to say the least .. till I got into golf in my late teens and started to watch it around the house .. my dad who never watched sports.. was like whatcha watch .. I'm like golf .. hes like well imma watch it with ya ..
