The Amazons don't age. Diana is the only child. No men or boys. They don't do anything to the boy babies because there are none. (I think there was a Gail Simone run in the comics about some Amazons who wanted to have children and were angry only the Queen got to have one. Fuzzy memory.) Anyway, what I LOVE about the Amazons in this movie is that the director cast a lot of actual athletes. There are boxers and Olympians and Crossfit people. So most of them look really strong and not like models which will not really be the case going forward.

To answer your question Don: The movie line is a bit skewed on the Amazonian women. These women were alive in our world through time. Each one died a warriors death in the “real world”. They were favored by Aries, and given the island solely for them. The island keeps them safe and unseen. No death occurs there and no children are born there. Diana’s mother, molded her and formed her from the clay of the island, and her blood (her mom’s friend Tek calls Diana “ Dirt” 😓 to be mean to her) and Zeus seeing her mom’s wish, granted that molded clay and blood life. Diana is made of the island. Now as to the death that you see: I said the island is protected, meaning no compass will ever tell you its direction. As long as the OUTSIDE WORLD never sets foot on the island, the Amazons are immortal, ALL OF THEM. Then Steve lands inside of the barrier, thus allowing the chasing Germans to find the island as well. Now that these men from the outside have set foot on the island, it has been poisoned and the Amazons are no longer immortal due to this poisoning. This is why bullets killed the Amazons. Those that were wounded stayed wounded UNTIL STEVE LEFT. So that is why Steve had to leave there (besides his original mission), as long as he stayed, the Amazons faced a slow painful death…a second permanent death. The only entity

BVS is just okay and the extended just for me is how MCU pressures it. I think release order is the best way to watch almost everything with very few exceptions, The Clone Wars animated series being one. Watching in chronological order may be less inconvenient in little ways, but the spoilers it causes is far more inconvenient to me. Every movie is released with the understanding that the viewer has probably seen the previous movies, so they can talk about or act on things that are established history without any thought to giving away anything. Watch them in a different order and you end up knowing plot-lines and outcomes that can ruin the viewing experience for some of the other movies. Not a good trade off.
