It’s so refreshing to hear your down-to-earth stories/experiences! You make being a professional musician seem much more attainable and I greatly appreciate your invaluable advice & transparency!

I share your admiration for Bryn. His career was taking off when I started taking singing lessons. So, being an amateur, I kind of took him as a role model when studying my gigs.

OMG, your voice is so good. My teacher showed us your opera and said she went to Appalachian with you. I hope you are doing great during this pandemic.

I was there at OLO watching you sing. I was a spotlight operator while I was in high school. My mom was the hair and makeup person-Majel Lentz. That was my 1st exposure to operatic singing and I thought I’d like to sing like that. The rest is history. 3 degrees later I’m out in Utah (UFOMT) for my 1st contract gig. I remember you lighting up the stage with your energy. You’re a great actor as well. The Soliloquy from Carousel at OLO is what made me decide I wanted to be an opera singer. Thank you for your videos. Very inspiring. Glad to see you’re having lots of success:)

Dude! You're the best! Great stuff. Thank your for being my Bryn Terfel Sir. What you present on line is such a huge upgrade from what artists could imagine offering a generation ago. Thank you for sharing all your Lucas Films. ☮❤⚡🎷🎙🎸

LOL. I got to meet Bryn Terfel after one of his recitals and I was so star struck I could barely speak...nice to know world class singers feel that way too sometimes.

7:24 onwards, when it comes to life or art in general I couldn't agree more. Chasing perfectionism or feeling as though you are perfect to me only allows for degradation of self. As you say, if you don't keep seeking more you won't get it. Also I'm like to say how I appreciate your channel. From a few that I've watched I enjoy that you seem to be trying to put a fun spin on opera singing and relating it here to self improvement. With your approach I hope you can continue to reach a wider audience. I feel my generation needs more of this mindset to help us be successful and happy in life, especially when it comes to something as personal as art.

Lucas, some Classic rock please. Would love to hear the awesomeness. May I ask who are some of your favorite Rock vocalists? Thanks in advance, Bob.

My first aria (and I’m still studying) was Avant de Quitter ces Lieux. It’s still so hard.

That's not an aria one should tackle first
@philbertchow5425 Жыл бұрын
@@falkfink I agree, in retrospect. High tessitura even for a lyric.

The first aria I learned from an opera was “O Colombina” from Pagliacci, which I also sang badly. Most of the aria was pretty good, but I struggled constantly with the A4 on “senza tardar.” From oratorio, my first aria was “Behold and See” from Messiah. That one I sang well, and I still love singing it.

There is no reason for him to admit it, but every singer occasionally cracks on stage. Has he heard off Placido Domingo, who virtually never sang without cracking somewhere?
