Today I’m sharing the story of our rainbow baby (to this point)! I tried to vlog throughout my entire first trimester, so in this video I share a MAJOR surprise we discovered at our first ultrasound, my symptoms and morning sickness, as well as just some very real fears I’ve been experiencing/experienced. Congratulations on your little blessing 😊 my first and second trimesters were sort of the same. Everyone says you feel so much better, but I felt pretty much the same. A little nauseous, a few foods sounded good, but overall, it was a sweet time. I definitely feel like there was a difference going into the third trimester though. Definitely get as much sleep throughout.

Praise God for bringing you through almost your whole first trimester without the worries and fears of miscarriage! That is amazing! You looking at the ultrasound and saying "it's beautiful" made me cry right along with you. I just had my 4th baby 3 months ago and those feelings of the amazing new life are still so fresh. Your joy is infectious!! This is SO amazing! I actually felt all the nerves, fear and hesitation you were feeling at the very beginning of this vlog. How wonderful that, essentially, you skipped lots of the worrisome weeks. I am jewish, and we are extremely cautious for the first trimester of our pregnancy. The "whew" factor at the beginning of the second trimester is absolutely understood! It's time to enjoy now.

Congratulations! I got nervous before every appointment, and always felt relieved afterwards that baby was still alive and growing. It's nice when you start feeling the baby move, so you always know that baby is doing well.

Lovely news Ashlynne, congratulations to you and Christopher. I am a grandmother and my daughter had to conceive her 1st through IVF. She has now conceived naturally and is a couple of weeks behind you. Despite never having experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage, I remember feeling so anxious in the early days of my own pregnancies and feeling relief as I reached each weekly milestone. In those days we didn't have the wonderful pregnancy apps and advice at our fingertips and we had to rely on books. I feel a little of the same relief each week of my daughter's pregnancy and she gets ultrasound and blood test results. Your honesty and openness about all your experiences is a wonderful thing and I am sure you are helping people by posting this information. I look forward to your 2nd and final semester vlogs. Our pregnancy symptoms in the first trimester are so spot on with one another it actually helps me to feel quite relieved! I found out at 4-5 weeks pregnant on Oct. 13th, but I had a dream that I was pregnant so that was my inkling to take a test and it was positive. I have irregular periods so I wouldn't have even thought to take a test since my only real symptoms were fatigue and nauseous when I needed to eat which that one was normal for me even when I wasn't pregnant! God is so good!! I love all of this so much for you and will continue to pray for you, Christopher, and this sweet babe!

I'm so excited for you! Your first trimester symptoms sound exactly like mine when I was pregnant with my son. I had a huge aversion to scents, and all smells intensified during my pregnancy. That never went away even after having my son 16 years ago. I can't wait for more updates on baby! 🩷

So so excited for you! I was happy crying with you 🥰 I'm at 23 weeks right now! I opted just for the anatomy scan ultrasound, which I went for this afternoon, so it was our first time seeing Baby. Definitely seeing baby makes it seem so much more real! For my first trimester, and well into my second, I had severe nausea. Looking back, it definitely was HG. I got severely dehydrated and lost about 15% of my body weight. Those months were so rough and it was pretty scary. After getting past most of that at 17 weeks, I felt like I got my life back! So excited to follow with you on this journey!

Beautiful updates!!! It’s amazing, that’s how my babies were conceived… definitely weren’t planned haha, I have three children now and just gave birth 3 months ago. it’s a beautiful journey pregnancy, labour and delivery! Congrats. So happy for y’all. My hardest trimester was first and third because nausea and I went into early labor with my daughter. The doctor keep sending me home instead of letting me do an early C-section. I brought some nausea lollipops that helped a lot. Hoping your pregnancy goes good. Wishing yall the best.

Congratulations 🎉 So happy everything is going well, overall after the miscarriage. After watching your announcement video I’ve already suspected you were super pregnant because you’d already said “it passed a week after we found out” but we watched seconds of your US and he/she already had feet!! SO happy & excited for you guys!!!🙏🏼🙌🏼 I just had my son in September 🥹 and ooof I had the worst nausea in my first trimester!! Almost constant from week 7 until I entered my second trimester 😆 even crackers and the simplest foods were not my friend! Second trimester was great and I got big fast! Fatigue was intense my whole entire pregnancy. I went from being a very active person to doing the bare minimum once I got pregnant. Very strange to experience but I just told myself to listen to my body🤍 being 7 weeks postpartum now……..man it is such an amazing journey. Our bodies are incredible and giving birth was so empowering. I also had a midwife team like yours :) Wishing you so much love, strength & a wonderful pregnancy!! Grow baby grow 👶🏻 🌱
