Let's face it, he's learning the rules. All of us are going to have these same issues, I would suspect for quite a few games into the learning process. I think he's done pretty well.

I love that the AI is clever enough to know that on turn 1 it needs that royal marriage with Burgundy more than anything else 😁

Cool video, overall really nice explained. Just one thing I noticed that was not brought up by the others. Burgundy is split in two parts, one in BURGUNDY Area and another part a bit to the North, between SEINE and FLANDERS & WALLONIA. With Austria having a Town in RHINELAND (which was missing on the Setup), that would have meant that "Death of Charles the Bold" would have granted a Bot Power to both England and Austria.

I also noticed that you had France diplomatically subjugate Provonce, but they also had a small town in the Bordeux region. Meaning they would need 3 influence first then they would annex all three.

Everything looks great and polished with the game, and you had some good transitions to show where areas that events and such occur helps with understanding. One question I had was roughly how much space does the game require on a table? Game boards, player mats, cards and such in total.

Nice! Just wanted to point out some things I spotted: On setup, Austria should have Towns on Sundgau in RHINELAND and Krain in VENETIA, England should have a Ship in the ENGLISH CHANNEL, and France should have a Ship in GULF OF LION. On the Bot's Military Action, when checking Bot Strength, count both Available Manpower and Units in their Army. Also, there is a step for placing the Army onto the board in the Bot's Military Action. Looking forward to the next one, cheers!

As far as I know, the English and French ships were removed because the solo rules said they only have 1 ship. The setup is dumb, I was too eager to quickly set it up which is why weeknights are a bit tricky ^^. Thanks!

@@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 Well it pans out well enough with the Trade around minute 55 where the bots would not get any power if they don't have ships there (at least for France). I think you missed the part limiting bot trade to "eligible Bot Realms" when describing the rules in the video.

I knew someone would appreciate it :D. My OCD gets triggered a bit when they're not correctly oriented :P. Setup took a while, I'll time it in my next video! I think about 20 minutes but could be wrong. It definitely gets faster every time.

I think your Genoa trade uses bottom row because you had to use alternate trade area instead of primary. I.e. you wouldn’t get 8 ducats but I think you only get 5

They're used to put on milestones, ideas to show that you've accomplished them.

Is there a possibility to play ANY nation? Or just the ones with a scenario?

They’re all scenario based as far as I know. I think the reason for that is that you need event cards for each playable country. There were a bunch unlocked though so I think there’s a lot of choice regardless.

There’s a procedure for “generating” your own scenarios with most multi-province nations at the beginning of the scenario rule book, it does give some wiggle room for “home brewing” your own experience. These are more recommendations, and definitely meant for more experienced players
