Any way to reduce/improve clutch effort? Cylinder slave makes a big difference?
@DJMotoVlogs
@DJMotoVlogs 4 жыл бұрын
From what I hear getting an aftermarket slave does help, I never rode a bike with a stock one so I cant comment on that.

Wow I can’t believe I never watched this video before. I have to admit that I find the wet clutch on my 848 EVO is a lot smoother but I do miss the Monster experience. I wish I could have kept both thanks for another great video
@DJMotoVlogs
@DJMotoVlogs 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. Yeah, I find the wet clutches to be much more friendlier but I'm starting to come around on the dry clutch. Your 848 is beautiful.

Hi there. Could you talk about your size vs the bike? I’m actually searching for a s2r myself but i’m 1.83cm tall and it seems that the s2r is really low.. you’re opinion? CheeRS
@DJMotoVlogs
@DJMotoVlogs 4 жыл бұрын
It is a small bike and you might feel a little cramped on a long ride. I'm about 5'10 and I find it to be pretty comfortable eventhough I have aftermarket clipons. A monster with a stock handlebar and adjustable clipons will be comfortable for someone as tall as you I think.

Probably @ 130, is when the Monster will walk away from your green bike! 🏁🇮🇹 When you're at a stop, I'm sure putting it in neutral would be 2nd nature for you. I pilot a 999s and it has a dry clutch, but it took some getting used to (sound and enguagement point) because my Monster was different and it was a wet clutch and less powerful. Trust me, you're gonna' love it once you learn her intricacies. Zoom-Zoom!

Stephen Macon You think the S2R will pull on the 636 on the top end? I think it will be the other way around. Monster feels faster off the line but I think above 100mph the 636 will be faster. But yes, I'm still learning the little intricacies of the dry clutch and so far it's been fun. I went for a 100 mile ride yesterday and it was nicer on the highway than I thought it would be without any wind protection. ☺

You got a litre bike there, bubba! Watching your take offs, you seem to be quicker than you were on that 636. I do indeed think that the Monster is better on the top end. You'll see and it will be Be-youuu-tiii-full! Even when I had my s2r 800, I used to beat 636s and your bike could smoke that. And no, I never modded my Monster (except for the Fender Eliminator). Just wait. 😉
@DJMotoVlogs
@DJMotoVlogs 7 жыл бұрын
Stephen Macon Yeah, you are right I ride this thing faster than I did on the 636. I love the way this bike is geared - she has long legs. lol. 80mph in 6th right around 5k rpm she doesn't break a sweat. I enjoy the taller 1st gear of the Monster too tho it's not so fun in stop and go traffic but that's not the bike's fault. Few times throughout my ride yesterday I yelled out loud " I love my bike!". lol

I had 32 bikes passing my "history" but i can not understand your point to set harleys with ducatis, here are worlds differences of running, drivin with more than 100 kg less as my last harley, a rocker, was my 4 th harley in my bike live and my last, cause the "harley fans" in Germany have mostlly no technical knowledge, and posing all like hells angels, with vests and funny names of "mcs"! They do so arrogand as the have a "motorcycle wonder" between her legs, and going mostly not more than 50 mls. on our highwas, that the trucks overhaul them!!! not with me lovely posers!, piss on amerikan heavy metall, try to follow me on a duc!!Alex
