I just love the Stacked front headlights. My first car senior year high school 74 I bought a 62 300SE for $900. Had to borrow $700 from my dad. It ran but needed work. Replace both rear airbags at $150 each back then. It was a fun car. Owned it for 30 years. Regret selling.

Detailing these directors coaches is hugely satisfying. I used to polish mine on a Saturday before I took my girl on a date. We married 36 years ago and owned five Mercedes-Benz cars, saving up now for a G400d.

OMG First things first, that car is absolutely beautiful even before the wash and then after it's amazing !!!! I'd like to point something out, Vermijl washes the dirtiest car in the world and doesn't get a speck of water or dirt on himself. If he walked on water or parted the red sea I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up with my head sown to the carpet tomorrow morning. LOL. I love the care, dedication and hard work you put into detailing all the cars. Of all the detailing channels on KZfaq Your channel is the one that I anticipate watching ALL the time. I will drop what I'm doing and watch your video first. I can't wait to see the exterior detail and the interior detail. One of my favourite jobs as a Boy Scout during Job Week (Bob a Job) was car washing, even at such a young age I found it so satisfying, I still enjoy washing mine and my wife’s car now. If car detailing had been a thing when I was younger I would definitely have worked my way into that and gone on to start my own business.. 🙂

That car is in great shape for no wash in 10 years. We just did the same to a 1957 Oldsmobile Ninety-eight that we inherited. All the chrome is rusted. It’s been garaged kept so the paint for the most part looks great.

A few decades ago, three W108 280SE travelled from Cape Town to Cairo, stock standard. So I laugh at these overlander builds and suspension frenzies I see. An elderly lady did the same journey in a Toyota Conquest Tazz. Our family owned many Mercedes-Benz, but the 1969 W108 250SE was the one I loved most. I once did 155mph in a 300SEL 6.3 V8. It had hydraulic suspension, or maybe pneumatic, not sure. It felt like cruising at thirty thousand feet in very calm weather, almost no sensation of speed, except for the roaring V8. That was in 1983, just over forty years ago.

The episode was enjoyable and impressive for the oldest antique car being revived again, in a joyful way. It's chocolate, but your only flaw is that washing the car starts from top to bottom, and not the other way around, as you do now.

it was a car so pretty and elegant then. very hard to ignore in its time until you spot rust through areas in its panels after a couple of years ownership. this was common to other cars of other makes as well. there was a Ziebart and other brands rustproofing service in almost each city blocks.
