I'm not in nursing school (yet?) but I've heard people say to remind yourself that you're not expected to know it all yet. Like yes there are terms and all from like A&P you should remember, but this is all SUPPOSED to be new and uncharted territory! It's only natural to feel overwhelmed. It's good that you're already looking at what you can work on in your life to help, your schedule and what works for you will probably change over time but that's always helpful to get down. This totally brings back the memories of my first week and semester of nursing school back in 2016 💕Keep it up! When it gets hard, remember why you started! I almost gave up so many times but now I'm a NICU RN and I can't believe I made it. No doubt you will too!

I just started my Master's program in Mental Health Counseling and although it's no where near Nursing School I've had two day of classes and feel like midterms are next week lol. Self Care is VERY important and something my program stresses that we do. You've got this ! Also, I've had a Pumpkin Spice Latte everyday since they came out lol! It's my daily self care

Congrats on starting nursing school! I'm in my 4th semester and honestly the overwhelmed feeling never really goes away. I was the same way about trying to read every page of the book during my first semester, but I soon realized that it is literally impossible. Now I just use the book to help myself understand things that don't make sense or aren't covered enough in lecture. Good luck and I hope this helps! :)

I just finished nursing school in June and I take my NCLEX next week 😭 nursing school is probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but in the end it is SO worth it and you’ll be so proud of yourself. Just finished my 2nd week of nursing. I have 8 hr clinicals on Monday’s, lecture on Wednesday and Thursdays, and skills lab on Thursday. We’ve been learning A TON of skills to prepare us for clinicals so we can actually be helpful to the nurses at the facilities and not just stand around. I will be tuning into your channel a lot as we go thru this journey. Remember to take time for yourself and take things one day at a time.

I also just started nursing school this week! I know how it is, the stress and the insecurities, but at the end of this week I looked back over the past 4-5 days and realized that I loved learning this, and that love is currently pushing away a lot of the insecurities.

Wow! Nursing school is so much different here in Canada! It's so interesting to see! Here in Canada our degree is 4 years long. It's split up into 8 semesters, each 12 weeks in length. Our clinicals are twice a week for 12 hours and the remaining 3 days, we are in class/lab.. each semester has about 4 classes (pharm, fundamentals, maternity, etc.). I'm going into my final year of nursing, I know how overwhelming and stressful nursing school is but trust me, you can do this!!

First week in the books🙌🏼 Do you use the Starbucks App to track and pay for your treats? It really helps me stay on track. I use the Dunkin one as well. There are opportunities to earn extra points and free product. So that’s nice🤗. Getting a schedule that works is a challenge -I’m going to feel it more I think when we change the clocks! I’m glad you and I are checking in with each other. It really is nice to have an accountability person or even a touchstone . Do you wear a night guard for the bruxism? I clench my jaw too-it can really be a problem. I know you will find a groove to settle into-you are already on track! Love you, and praying for you❤️❤️❤️
