Russian Soldiers Enter Airbase Housing US Forces In Niger | Firstpost America
Tensions are running high in West Africa as Russian and American troops are stationed at the same military base in Niger. The troops of the two rivals are sharing Airbase 101 in the country's capital city of Niamey. However, the reports suggest that the soldiers are based in different hangars and are not mingling with each other. This comes after Niger's Junta Rulers expelled the US troops from the country following the July coup last year. The entry of Vladimir Putin’s forces has raised concerns over Russia’s access to US installations in Niger. Addressing the concerns, the US said that Russian troops did not have access to American equipment. Watch our video to know more.

Where did you get that info. The US companies, unlike China and Russia, actually make agreements with the African governments. US law does not permit any US companies to operate there or anywhere without the permission of the country. Nothing will happen. My brother was in Bosnia in the 90s and met Russian troops, he bartered for a Russian military uniform. It’ll be the same here.

It has been my experience from 50 years ago on a US government fisheries research vessel that visiting russian fisherman were very jolly. The US and Russian troops at air base 101 in Niger will get along well if allowed to.

US and Russian troops have some things in common -- like they are both good at soldiering and have a knack for it, they both have logistic capabilities their allies depend on, and they both get sent to crapholes all over the world so their unaccountable leaders can profit from war.
