every Westerner meeds " refrain from going to China" two Japanese ordinary tourists arrested for spying in China. They are now still in the Chinese jail waiting for setnence! In detail they were arrested when they took photos of a near by tourist sight but China argues that they took photos of a nearby military facility! ! Now everyone watch! because a lot of broken Chinese randomly take photos of a white man woman in China and sends the snapshot over app to the preinstalled government reporting app and just wait for a good luck! a lot! ..sometimes taxi drivers throw a topic of a sensitive issue and hidden audiorecord the conversation of a westerner and send it over the app! My own experinece in China WATCH! ... DO NOT GO TO CHINA FOR A WHILE ...YOU MIGHT BE A SCAPEGOAT OF A POLITICAL CONFLICkzfaq.info/get/bejne/ld-anc9325mxiXWH.html BETWEEN THE WEST AND CHINA NOW IF YOU ARE UNLUCKY!

Very informative. You disproved a ton of misconceptions I had about China. China seems for the most part tourist friendly. I was very impressed by there public transit (the high speed) train. They seem to be more long term planners than short term (love that ). Stay safe and keep the vlogs coming!!!

1. You can't get a Shanghai transportation card in a bank. 2. You can get uber in China and the service in the mainland had been purchased by its former rival in the business in China, Didi, though you need to download the Uber app for mainland China separately.

The meglev didn't run at top speed because of the cost of transit. In addition, you can take the train launch between 9:02 to 10:47am or 15:00 to 15:45pm. Only at these time will the 430km/h maglev run.

The maglev runs different speed on different time of the day. Some of them runs at top speed(430km/h) and some runs at 300 km/h. Using Shanghai public transportation card can get a discount.

@davidostrowski679 6 жыл бұрын
ah yes I heard this, I think I got it on a sunday mid morning if I remember rightly. The one I was on was 300km/h. Awesome tip about the transportation card! I didn't bother getting one as I was only there for a short time and I found the subway to be so inexpensive compared to in cities in South Korea and Japan. Thanks for watching and contributing!
@user-po7vf5kl4l
@user-po7vf5kl4l 6 жыл бұрын
Yes. Metro in Shanghai and other cities in mainland China are usually cheap. In Shanghai, it costs 3 yuan for 6km, and each 10km more ride would charge passenger another 1 yuan. 1 yuan is roughly equal to 15 US cents nowadays , so it is definitely very cheap compare to other countries.(even cheap than BTS and MRT in BKK) as they receive significant amount of subsidies from gov.

So basically the Maglev doesn't go 431 km/h for all day any more. The train only runs for 431 from 9a.m. to 10:45, and 15:00 to 15:45. In the rest of the day, it only goes 300 kph

Yep this was in 2017, was in effect back then too
@cantrememberchit
@cantrememberchit 7 жыл бұрын
So 301 kph translates to 187 mph per google - does that mess with you at all? I have a feeling I would not do well with that. Was it a smooth ride?
@davidostrowski679
@davidostrowski679 7 жыл бұрын
cantrememberchit yep very smooth but wasn't as fast as the shinkansen in Japan (I normally felt like I was about to have a stroke when I got off that). I read somewhere the shanghai maglev only goes top speed at certain times!

With the Shanghai metro, you can only travel in Shanghai (except several stations are located in another city), but the map of Tokyo metro (it's actually the map of Tokyo railway system) also includes the railway lines that connected to other cities. All the lines with the JR logos do not belong to the Tokyo metro system. That's why the railway system in Tokyo is so confusing.

They are different style cities. Shenzhen is almost a totally new, modem city with funny theme parks, tall buildings, beautiful streets. However, Beijing contains more Chinese traditional culture, the Imperial Palace, the Great Wall, The temple of Heaven, etc. It is totally up to you to identify which one is more interesting.
