What a lovely guy. He would definitely make anyone want to investigate the brand further at the very least. And compliments to you also Mikey. You're there to listen not to talk. And that's the secret to a good interviewer👏

great series of videos, I don't know how anyone wouldn't be interested in fischer and fischer speakers after watching these. Forget metal, stone is where it's at.

Impressive approach to sourcing real quality for money spent. Slate and concrete cabinet materials were the 2 most preferred by my audio engineering mentor, Don Wells. I respect minimal parts in crossover designs as they provide the most natural sound reproduction period. My scientific approach to maximizing energy throughput differs quite a lot with regards to the origin of stored energy within speaker cabinets. The advantages of spintronics is my angle of approach. As such, I look forward to Ocd Mikey's analysis and feedback after spending a few days experiencing the worlds first helicoidal speakers system in a hands-on capacity. A warm shout out to Mikey and everyone in the Tribe.

Step 1 of international etiquette: introduce your guest. Once I put Argento Audio on Ayre Acoustics, there is no use to lean on volume. Argento pulls current to make the image realistic without leaning. Image is already there. Listening on Dynaudio Confidence/JL Fathom. F&F could be interesting in a well constructed room.

That is one of the top audiophile interviews I've ever watched! A few highlights (paraphrasing): " a speaker is a room within a room"; "I hold a raw driver in my hand and listen if its natural sounding"; "a cabinet stores energy and reflects energy" and, of course, "lets BURN some ROCK!!" haha, very cool and knowledgable guy!

This is a very special loudspeaker brand. I suggest buying some !! You'll never go back!

Ahh the piano dilemma. I agree the most difficult task for a speaker is to make it sound like it’s next to you. The first thing I do to judge a speaker is listen to piano on it. While I would not be considered an expert by any means.if a speaker makes a piano sound like it’s in the room with you it’s a good speaker. There is a resonance of a piano that’s is a sense of touch/feeling as much as it is a sound. I love listening to piano in any form. The trick is to get a good recording. In the pop/rock genre Elton John’s recordings are amazing.only really noticeable on a great speaker. This makes me want to hear this speaker more and more.

Awesome videos about awesome people making awesome speakers. Would love to see a series like this with TAD..... Would also love to see a TAD Ref One vs F&F SN 1000.1 AMT video duke out. Who'd win Mikey? Ya gotta pick 1 my brother! Thanks!

I just bought 1000.1

TAD R1TX has an interesting internal standing wave design to eliminate higher frequencies. I'm not sure if F&F can accomplish the same with dampening material.
@OCDHIFiGuy20 күн бұрын
All good speakers address standing waves inside the box. These speakers let them OUT. It's called Aperiodic tuning. Next the 650LB top of the Fischer line is $80K. Exactly HALF the price of R1. So R1 BETTER have an advantage... ;-) it's like comparing apples and oranges actually. They had 2 different design goals. They are both amazing speakers and I sell them both.

The speakers i made are aperiodic transmission lines. The dipole mids are magic for my low mids. The slate that Fischer and Fischer uses for the enclosure is a dream. Probably need some good sliders to get them in position before installing the outrigger spikes. Seems like a cool cat. Band of gypsy's for the win!

They come with factory sliders. ;-)

Hello, if money were no object, which brand would you buy separates from? I can only think of Accuphase and maybe McIntosh. Thoughts? For quality I’m leaning toward Accuphase. I’d like to know your suggestions.

What about resonances in loudspeaker diaphragms ?? What do they do to address those and how audible are these cabinet resonances compared to the driver resonances ?
@OCDHIFiGuyАй бұрын
Come listen and you decide.. speaker manufacturers do different things based on what they feel is most important. These speakers have a sound like no other. Listen and if you like it, buy them. If not, don't. All the discussion back and forth is just mental masturbation. You either trust me and buy them without hearing or fly here and listen.
@rentabombАй бұрын
@@OCDHIFiGuy They all say that there's is the best. The thing is if they are going to brag about stuff they can only measure with an accelerometer or laser etc then they should be able to quantify it and tell us how good or bad it is with respect to the resonances in the drivers. All of these hi-end speaker manufacturers seem to be beating up the MDF cabinet vibration strawman lately as though it is the only competitive edge they have. Seeing that a loudspeaker diaphragm is so much more fragile than a speaker enclosure one would think the diaphragm resonance modes would dominate any cabinet vibration and yet I really don't see any of them address that problem except trying to mitigate it using tricks in the crossover which only reduces it rather than eliminate it if anything.
