Well, that opened a can of worms! Thanks to everyone who commented and I will do some more fish and chip Fridays in the future. Coral Island advertise online with Visit Fylde Coast. We don't get any funding so we have to earn a living and pay the (not inconsiderable) upkeep of VFC in any which way we can. As you know my mum has been ill but I have been trying to arrange a visit since last autumn - hence the fish and chips after the attraction tour.

Everywhere has grot if you look for it. We focus on the good in the hope that the grot will catch up. If you want negativity you’re on the wrong channel 👍

With fish n chips apart from salt n vinegar you need a rendition of Leroys fish n chip Friday song to aid digestion, so next time if you could possibly exercise the vocal chords and belt out a verse or 2 that would be great lol

i think Coral island is one of the most expensive places to get fish and chips in blackpool, I know leroy took back his fish and chips as the fish was not cooked properly and the manager refused to give him a refund.

Mine was drier than Ghandhis flip flop and they didn't give 2 hoots it had turned stringy it made me sick Never been back Shame cos the first lot I had from there were nice

I enjiy the fish and chips from coral Island and isn't a bad pruce for seafront prices at 7.50. This was the last place me and my late father ate at back in October, he always enjoyed the food there. Thankyou Jane x

Enjoyed the video, personally I am not and never have been a fan of known “sponsored” videos for the simple reason, they are bought! You can give it all the fancy names until the cows come home but the moment something is “sponsored” that changes the whole game play! I used to have a job, and that job was a secret shopper. I used to have to visit various supermarkets. I would have to ask one for a few of many things, do you have, where would I find, can you tell me or I bought this last week and I didn’t like it, it was off, it wasn’t as described and for the most part, I’d get away unnoticed! Back then, I’m taking early nineties onward, folk where a lot more on the ball, far more clever than todays retail workers (if that offended anyone, I won’t apologise for speaking as I find). This experience can’t and should not be expected as a true experience in any way, the staff will have had it drilled into them, when they hear the keyword, your name, drop whatever and whoever, they are god! Sounds harsh but who ever said life was fair!

I shall enjoy my fish and chips even more tonight having seen your video Jane. I am looking forward to taking Kris to the Swan fish and chip Elysium at Southport - I say Elysium beause it is more than a fish and chip restaurant - it is ne plus ultra in the quality and quantity of the service provided. One of the finest bookshops in the world is not very far away and is the best attraction in the resort . . . other attractions are available of course! :-)

Went there first time and they were gorgeous. Went a second time at 6:30pm and the fish was horrendous like it had been sat there all day incredible dry and turned stringy so put me off since, especially paying nearly £8 for it Sorry that people keep going on about Leroy and harassing you about it too Jane PSA: WE DONT KNOW WHERE HE IS AND WE DONT KNOW WHEN HES COMING BACK. HE WILL COME BACK WHEN HE CHOOSES TO. STOP PESTERING OTHER KZfaqRS PLEASE.

Leroy was not sponsored so he probably got what the regular folks that walk in would get as far as quality of food. You videos are very good but don’t see the point of a sponsored food review.

Business is hard enough for people right now so I won’t be going anywhere anonymously with the aim of panning them. I’ll always tell the truth though, you know that.
