FISH MARKET IN VIAREGGIO || ITALIAN BEACH LIFE & ETIQUETTE EXPLAINED || BAGNO AN ITALIAN BEACH CLUB

Күн бұрынWe went to see the fishing boats in Viareggio where, early in the morning, people from Viareggio (and beyond) turn up to buy fresh fish.
Then we went to Bagno Elisabetta, a typical Italian Bagno, a beach club resort to buy an umbrella for our garden. There we met Eleonora, the owner, and Alessandro, the lifeguard who will tell you what an Italian Bagno is. Alessandro spent many years of his life in Chicago and speaks perfect English.

just come back from Viareggio yesterday and went to the Elizabetta very relaxing and restaurant was very good great video 🏖

I need an umbrella too! Che bella Viareggio, too bad you can’t get close to see the fish. So interesting that you hear mercato sounds but it’s not Napoletano. 😂🤣😂

Some of the fishermen are from Sicily but were sticking to Italian!

Absolutely enjoyed the video, especially the section on the fish market and fisherman. One of my most vivid memories is the smell of fish at the local fish market adjacent to the small grocery store where I had my first job as a teenager. I enjoy cooking and eating seafood and I always try to visit a fish market wherever I travel or go grocery shopping. Thank you for this visual delight!

According to KZfaq I am the first to watch the video - probably a one off especially as I have just had dinner of fish - gurnard. Seeing the fish and sea in your video immediately after eating fish. Anyway, thank you again for the information and will we see the umbrella in situ in due course?

I am glad we timed it well! Enzo knows gunard as coccio but in Tuscany it is called gallinella. How did you cook it? Thank you again for the comment and hope you will approve of the umbrella!

@@PiazzaTalkLucca Slowly in two dashes of white wine, some lemon juice, seasoning and a dab of butter. It more or less steamed itself as most of the fish was above the fluid. Mashed potato and spinach accompanied. Thank you for the Itaian name(s).
