When we make woodworking joints we don't always have to glue them, sometimes we need a wooden joint that can be disassembled. In this case I make some fish mouth joints in wooden rods without glue, so they are easy to disassemble. I I show how to make a fish mouth joint that uses a confirmat screw to keep the pieces together. I also show how to put a wood rod tight between two wooden blocks using loose dowels and one screw.
How to make wood rods:
• How to make wooden rod...
To join the end of two wood rods, using a dowel to reinforce the joint, here I show a woodworking idea using scrap wood. I used it to fix a broken curtain rod:

Great job. Good video. I am trying to rebuild and reconstruct fifty bar high back chairs that were very poorly designed and way to thin.

This would be handy in a small shop as a finishing rack. Hang your pieces, finish and let dry then disassemble to save space in your shop.

11/26/2020 USA Grandpa Bill: I have to say this: I am delighted to see your creations, inventions, work. You are one of only a few people worldwide who inspire, encourage, arouse the desire to work, to try, to accomplish. In my world, your English is simple and requires work on my part to pay attention and listen carefully because your native accent is so perfectly strong. But I like it. I would not change a thing, Please keep talking, keep making, keep bringing to our world of woodworkers your labor of love. We love along with you. And like I said before: I'm glad you are on youtube. I wish you were my neighbor.

Clever joining! But from my experience redoing a closet, I think there may be a problem with the horizontal rod holding up under the weight of the clothes. Even the 1 1/4” dowel rod in the closet bent. Wound up with a stainless steel rod.

I guess to some extent it depends where you live, cold winters will probably require a stainless rod, hot places, not so much.
