ALMOGRAVE - ZAMBUJEIRA do MAR (25 Kms)
We leave Almograve following the Barranquinho river towards its mouth at Praia da Foz dos Ouriços.
Next to this sandy area are located the shores of Praia de Nossa Senhora and Praia de Almograve, the latter of which is more than 500 meters long and is surrounded by a comfortable dirt road.
Then, after flanking the beautiful Praia da Barca Grande and the Porto de Pesca de Lapa de Pombas, we access a cliff profile that becomes more impressive as we advance.
The coves of Entrada do Pau and Palheirões do Pulo test our vertigo before entering a pine forest that surrounds a dune complex.
Later, the signs return us to the coast to enjoy the spectacular Praia do Cavaleiro, although later we will have to make a detour to save the depression of the Barranco do Cavaleiro and reach the fascinating environment of Cabo Sardão.
This ledge and its surroundings are dotted with stork nests that defy gravity and storms, and the lighthouse that stands here is witness to this both day and night.
Next, we continue to follow the cliff line, adding to the route with natural arches and formations that put our imagination to the test.
After the Ponta da Cerva we contemplate several inlets of interest to then cross a corridor of acacias that will lead to the gates of the almost inaccessible Praia do Tonel.
In the following kilometers we face the slope of Ensenada da Barca surrounding its small port complex and then joining the pedestrian path next to the CM-1158 road that goes straight to Zambujeira do Mar.
However, before reaching today's objective, the signs do not want us to miss the previous coastal accidents, recommendations that we carry out in order to consider this very complete stage as finished.

Bueno otra rutaza con vistas espectaculares, la arena rojiza te tiene que machacar las piernas y con calor Un saludo enorme

Totalmente! Lo bueno es que en primavera, que es cuando hicimos las primeras 8 etapas de la ruta, el calor no pega tanto aunque el sol sí quema. De todas formas, crema solar y agua no pueden faltar por estos lugares. Gracias Armando!

Que acantilados🙄 yo tengo vértigo y no creo que me acerque tanto😂😂. Una preciosidad donde están las cigüeñas, increíble, un abrazo🫶🏽

Sí, sí, los acantilados tienen su miga pero si no te asomas te pierdes algunas vistas. Eso sí, un@ decide ya el nivel de asomo 😅 atendiendo su nivel de vértigo. Algunas tomas tienen truco 😃, el palo selfie extensible ayuda un poco a prolongar un metrillo y poco más el acercamiento. Gracias Ana María!
